Mairi nodded shyly, blushing. I don't really recognize the language, though most of the time, things like this didn't happen. The worst before were scrapes and bruises, she said with a small sigh as she pushed back her hair, revealing the bandage just above her right eye and temple where an errant wave slapped the oar into her face whilst fighting their way to shore in a heavy storm.

That's horrible, Mairi. Maybe we should have a doctor look at that but first we need to wait and hear from the doctors about Lucas.

Mairi tilted her head, her cerulean-teal hair falling messily around her face and shoulders. I guess it's okay... It'll feel.... different... living onshore, I guess, she said jokingly.

Mairi exhaled softly, thinking. From the fact that they rushed him into that other room, I have no idea, though the fact that he wasn't moving his leg much and was very reluctant to put weight on it might mean deeper damage than bruises and cuts, she said honestly. She saw someone exiting the room they'd taken Lucas into and stood.

 Mairi grimaced as the doctor looked tired before he guided them to a nearby room before he spoke. His age gives him a very good chance of healing without any trouble, though roughly a third of the way up from where the femur meets the knee was a pretty nasty angular break, which we call an oblique fracture. The other fracture was not as severe, but was straight, or what's known as a transverse fracture. Neither break was serious enough to need a rod through the center of the bone, which is fairly usual, so we used plates to hold the damaged bone together while it heals, which on average is around four to six months, plus the physical therapy as his hip bone was rather bruised as well. How precisely did it happen? the doctor said.
From what I remember, we managed to get into a rowboat in a really severe storm as our sailboat was taking on water and were fighting our way to shore... during which time a wave jerked the oar into my face, but glanced off. I remember a couple of larger waves making the boat really difficult to control before we capsized in just under a foot of water and was thrown to shore painfully. I staggered farther up from the water, then heard Lucas screaming. He'd been pinned down with the side of the lifeboat on his left thigh and the water was coming closer. He's terrified of drowning after... that incident, she said, glancing at Pyhrra.

Do you mind if I look that over? he said gently, seeing Main wincing as he'd notice the bandage underneath her hair.

Mairi sighed as the doctor carefully removed the bandage before examining the healing cut, which was long but shallow. Recovery is on the second floor, though the room should be the sixth on the left from the elevators, the doctor said. No double vision or dizziness? he said gently, making Mairi shake her head as he gently ran Neosporin over the cut before placing a clean, fresh bandage over it.
