The faintest of smirks crossed Kaimana's features as he watched his twin catching the starfish. It was always amusing to catch her off guard - even if he was feeling more contemplative than playful at the moment. He wasn't certain why coming to the smaller cove had made him so thoughtful but the Matori couldn't help reflecting upon things.
That or carrying Devi just made me far too light-headed. He quipped silently to himself as to save his face from any playful revenge Devika would have taken on him should he had stated such a thought out loud.
His amber gaze darted towards the ocean, a hint of sorrow reflecting in his typically more playful features, "I suppose." He replied quietly as he continued staring over at the rolling waves, "But how can we know unless we try? I'm sure that Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted us to stay in a cove our whole lives....Grandma might but she's a bit protective, you know?" Not that he didn't blame her considering all that she had already lost. Still staying safe, staying hidden wasn't something that he excelled at.
He peered towards Devika finally, a small smile forced upon his lips, "Some of the prettiest shells are only in the deeper waters." He commented lightly, "One day you'll get a foot in the ocean if you want to try and find them." Not that he was ever going to push her that way though he would be delighted to have his sister in the ocean with him. Kaimana held back the sigh that threatened to leave his lips at the thought and instead darted back down to look into the shallow waters, "But I suppose we can deal with this for now...look!" He reached under again before whipping his hand out and presenting a larger shell with thin spike designs growing from the top of its pearly surface, "It's actually in perfect condition...that's fairly rare, right?"
