"She is a guide from an ancient civilization. She's probably programmed like a tour guide to point out places of interest and direct you to destinations, not to tell you where they keep the fine silverware and what the street value of it is. She probably doesn't even have any idea of what our economy is like and what the monetary value even is. How about we just spend what little light we have to look around."
He gestured to help Lawr if he still needed someone to lean on and moved towards the doorway actually into the city.
"If I can get some power going here, I can actually work on exploring the city more. There is a library that might have a better idea of what the layout of this place is and what is located here. That might suit you better." He said, hoping that would get Lawr off of trying to steal something now and instead letting him look for something later.

"That would be too convenient wouldn't it." he said, exhaling. "Was worth a shot though, you can't blame a man for trying."
He followed Melvin, not liking the sensation that he was somehow being sapped the whole time he was here, the lights working off of - based on what Melvin had said before - presumably them. "Library sounds fine though." he said. "Do you think H would buy books?"

"No. I can't blame you. I suppose I'd be doing the same."
"I don't exactly know what Dr. H sees as valuable. Potential. He keeps talking about potential. So probably something that could potentially offer power - weapons, artifacts, some hidden nugget of information that would crown him King. A sorting hat.....a wand." He shrugged as they stepped into the city. The entire place was shimmering gold, fine detailing on the walkways and intricate fending and design-work on the towering buildings above. There was the soft blues reflected above of the ocean.
"We can check the library for information ourselves and then turn in any books, but I'd rather see if I could just copy them for our own copy and leave the originals here. That way we don't gut the entire library. I do wonder who governed this place lived and where they lived. That might be worth investigating. Powerful leaders tended to keep powerful things."
He smiled at them. "That or we find some vault in their local police department." He wasn't sure. The entire place lacked a lot of information so their entire culture was left to just guessing at the moment.
Sophie followed behind them, and he was glad for her company.
"Sophie, where is the library?"
