Al floated after Melvin at a leisurely pace. He swims, see?
"Sooo.. basically there's a lot you could do that wont even make them sick? Like uh, receive - stuff where they don't ingest your stuff in general, right? What about just touching it?"

"That's.....fine." This wasn't helping. It was actually making things worse, and looking over, it was unfortunate that Al wasn't a bad swimmer.
"Who taught you to swim." He needed some other subject. Something.
He swam a bit more away from Al.

Al inhaled to float up on his back and lazily kicked his feet to follow Melvin with minimal effort. Following the sounds of his swimming and voice.
"Dunno," he said in reply.
"So basically there's a lot you can do still without any problems? Do you need the porn back to remind you of some options?"

"No." He snapped back, his earlobes a nice rose color now.
"I've done hundreds of things and I don't need my own porn stash to teach me more. It doesn't even ******** matter. It's not like I've been able to do anything with anyone recently and probably won't for who knows how long. ******** people isn't even the biggest problem of all of this." He kicked off, using a bit more speed to turning and made a wider circle away from Al.
"You ever do anything with other people before Noah?" He asked, deciding he would at least pry back.

Melvin almost lost Al, but with that final question Al took a sharp turn to follow his voice - and him.
"Nope, Noah is my first." He stated proudly, sorry Melvin that line of questioning wasn't going to work. "I didn't even know I was interested in dudes before him."
"What about you? How many people you do s**t with before Lawrence?"

He slowed down again, watching as Al blindly tried to navigate to him. Reaching out, he held his hand so Al wouldn't bump into him.

Didn't actually feel like - doing that again. Rin was the person who wanted to date when I didn't want to give it a chance. We never got so far to propose. I don't know if she was waiting on me or not. We were kinda just ...figuring ourselves out a lot of the time. I just didn't want to hurt her." And in the end, he had.

"Noah is my first everything," Al confirmed. He isn't at all embarrassed about that fact.
"So you and Rin were mostly experimenting?" He was honestly curious, not at all judging. "Do you remember all the people you slept with? Or are they all just a huge blur now?"

"I know a few by name. A lot I didn't. I think there was one or two where we didn't even really give a name. Kinda bumped together at a party. But I remember them and that time. That moment. Good or bad. I haven' t slept with so many to make them a blur. They just feel less....real to me. The life before the island feels detached somehow." He said, nudging Al to see if he could send him sailing slowly away.

Al indeed bobbed away slightly but kicked a leg to swish right back where he was. "Dunno. Just wasn't very interested. I had a lot going on back home, I guess. I was pretty young too when I came here."
"So you have lots of experience then? Why choose someone like Lawr then? I'm not downing him or anything, but you did say he pretended to be Rin. I don't think I could ever forgive someone who did that to me, let alone date them?" He was genuinely curious what it was. Why it was.

"I - had reasons. Not good ones. By the time he told the truth, I already developed a lot of feelings for him. Not just as a fake copy of Rin, but as the other part of him he played. I wanted to still justify my feelings for him and see him as a good person. I also gave up a lot. I had nothing to go back to, and I was afraid to be alone. Then after a few times.....everything else felt less important and I just slowly began to like him. I can't exactly explain it. I've tried to myself many many times. I just know that I don't want to loose him, even if he might eventually be okay with loosing me. I just need to become stronger to the idea that it's a very real possibility. We aren't together that way anymore. What we pretended or did have, it's not there anymore, and I think I value the company more than the intimacy. Not....saying that it wasn't good. It's kinda killing me to have someone and go cold turkey for a while."
