He laughed softly and wished for a moment he could kiss the other man without causing a stir. Arlen really was to nice. He should have expected it but somehow hadn't. "We'll see the gardens first. One of the breeding ponds is out thete so you can see the koi when they're babies." It was a good way to see how much the fish could grow.

"You are too kind to me Mag Mell." He murmured quietly.

"You'd be surprised." His smile was slightly sad as he looked at Arlen. Having someone other than Aldara treat him 'normal' was a blessing. There were a few scribes he'd grown up with who were more familiar with him than others of their status would normally be allowed but nothing like the way Arlen treated him. The knight respected the culture but when they were alone or on Corvus Jinyue felt like he could be himself.

They passed through a wide hallway with alcoves and seating carved into the walls as they made their way to the garden. Once outside it was almost like being on a different world. The ceiling had been designed with the help of the Mauvians to create artificial daylight so they could grow and study plants that wouldn't naturally grown on the asteroid.

A light flush colored his cheeks at the knights words but he didn't react otherwise. He didn't know if Arlen meant him to hear it and he didn't want to call attention to it when there were so many around them.

The garden was busy, not crowded, but busy. "The mauvians technology is incredible. The sun in here rotates to match a average planets light cycle. It's relatively close to enough of them that we can keep 'time' by it even though our actual light doesn't change much."

"We used to do it with water clocks, some people still use them, but to help balance our time with everyone we trade with this helped." He brushed his fingers along a soft pink flower as they passed along a bed of them. "No, i can't say I have. I'd assume time was a little odd there though?"

He tipped his head slightly as he looked at the knight, genuniouly curious if Mag Mell had been there.

"I've heard there are things you can do which will stop time as well." He managed a slight smirk as he paused by some young fruit trees. "At least I've heard stories of such things." It was something he hoped to one day actually get to experience himself.

He looked over at Mag Mell again. Under the sunlight the knights cape shimmered with colors he couldn't have seen in usual twilight. Arlen was obviously meant to be somewhere bright otherwise no one would be able to see the extent of how regal he looked.

He knew this close and in the bright light Arlen would be able to see the flush on his cheeks but there wasn't anything he could do about it. Instead, pretending like it wasn't there, he turned to point out toward one side of the garden. "We grow some vegetables and things on that side so we have to import less. Most of the garden though is research and leisure. Flowers and trees that we can't grow here elsewhere and we try to get as many seeds as possible so everyone who comes to visit might be able to find a bit of home."

He stepped away from the tree, not wanting to be away from Arlen but not wanting to let himself daydream about any silly childhood stories about knights and princesses under trees. "The koi nurseries are on the other side."

"I'd like it if we could have some." He nodded, looking over at Arlen as they walked. "I don't think we have any flowers from Mag Mell and from what I know already they must be beautiful." His fingers brushed against the edge of the knights cape before he tucked his hands into his sleeves.

"I am sorry if I am making the tour boring ... I'm doing that thing with the fish again."
