Abie knew what Incanthis meant. "Yes, Aqio told me himself that he'd rather see me leave Oba with all that was going. Then stick around and see you get hurt because of it." As they walked, Abie made sure Incanthis' hood was up till they got to their safe street. Parthlio didn't come down this way, many of the vendors would hike up their prices just because they hated him. Abie hummed as they neared their usual vendor. "I can't wait to meet your little brother though. Drat. I should of asked my elder to stick around to meet you. You would of liked him!" Hopefully.

Incanthis didn't really say anything merely making a 'hmm' sound as Abie spoke. It seemed as though Aqio wanted them to leave to get out of the way of whatever was going on? That only made him worry that much more about... all of it. Lifting a hand he rested it on Junior's head which was a way of helping to calm himself. While the beast didn't exactly look friendly given his scaly body and sharp teeth he was quite kind to Incanthis. Not to mention he was a calming factor as well. Incanthis didn't say as much out loud but he was going to try to catch up to Aqio before they left, wanting to check up on him. "Perhaps we will catch up with him before he leaves the area?" Provided that they were so lucky. He was kind of curious about Abie's older brother after all. As they got deeper into the market he found himself scooting a bit closer to Abie, which caused Junior to scoot in closer as well, all but squishing Incanthis against him. Giving a little shake of his head within his hood he said in an embarrassed tone, "Sorry, Abie... Junior is a bit bad about keeping real close when I am outside the house."

Abie chuckled as he snuggled his Healer. "I don't mind. Gives me the perfect excuse to hold you." he tossed Junior a treat. "Thank you, buddy." Laqui on Abie's other side slowly shook his head as he let out a long breath. Abie knew that the beast behind him just sighed at his antics. "Hey...I don't see you helping me snuggle Incanthis." As they got closer the vendor called out in greeting. Having already spotted Laqui and Junior they had put their usual order aside. Seeing they were close, there was a extra basket for them. Supposedly it was a gift from the vendors wife who always enjoyed seeing them.

Junior seemed quite pleased with the treat he was given chomping on it for a moment before swallowing it without bothering with much in the way of chewing. He turned his attention to his brother, looking quite smug for a snaptrotter for a moment before he was back to hovering near to Incanthis. Sure, he was all for showing off to his brother that he got the treat but that didn't meant he wasn't going to look after Incanthis first and foremost. As they got to the vendor Incanthis set to inspecting what was set aside for them. Good looking meat, most of it already dried and prepared, though there was some raw meat as well. A good thing as Incanthis wanted a bit more practice with preparing smoked and dried meat himself. It wasn't something he felt he'd perfected yet and since it was an important skill he wanted to work at it a bit more before they headed out on their own. He looked up, turning to speak with Abie, but instead bumped noses with the hovering Junior. Giggling a bit he gave him a nudge and said, "You should wait with Laqui, it's safe here." Junior gave a huffing sound but moved to do so, standing alongside his brother while Incanthis set to checking out what else the vendor had to offer today. While he was always happy to buy the 'usual' he felt they should also see what else there was that might be useful to them. Nothing that it would seem that they particularly needed from what he saw. So once he paid they could move on to the next vendor. Thanking the man behind the counter graciously he moved to put the stuff on Junior's back before tying it securely to him, "Thank you for carrying the baskets, buddy." He said, giving him a big hug as thanks along with another treat.

Abie chuckled as he signaled for Laqui to say in his usual waiting spot. The paler of the two sibling whelps rolled his eyes at his brother before gently tugging Junior's tail to get him to sit. Once his brother was seated the paler whelp settled to lay on top of him to keep him still. Abie held back the snicker at the pair, he could just see them about to start fighting. As he looked through the baskets he was glad to see raw meat. Would let him observe Incanthis' practice with dried meat and such. He was happy to strap the extra basket to Laqui when they were done. "Okay, meat collected. What's next? Did you want to go check on the beast gear we ordered? Or the breeder who might have a new whelp for me?"

"Oh! Yes, we need to see the one who is making the new gear. I have gone back a couple times since it was ordered to check on it... and I asked for a few special things to be added to Junior's gear. He's almost to the point where he could probably carry me now... though I don't want him to know that yet or else I'm sure he will insist." He already walked really close to Incanthis to help protect him, if he knew that he was big enough to carry the Shifter it was likely he'd want to do that day in and day out. Best to hold off on that for now. Looking curious he asked, "What sort of new whelp were you thinking about? Was it the ebony one that you'd mention? Or have you found another one that you wish to add to the... hrm... what is a group of snaptrotters call? A herd? A pack?" He couldn't say he actually knew the answer to that one.

Abie thought on that. "I think I heard once their called a Cluster..or was it a Hatchery...eh. I suppose that's what the owner gets to decide." he shrugged. Then had to stifle a laugh at that. "Yeah...I'm slowly working Laqui up to that. I got him the rider's gear. Though I'm going to train all the boys to be able to carry a child at least, just in case we team up with a caravan and the kids can't keep up." He hummed as he winked. "The ebony one, finally. They said a ebony whelp was born. I'm super excited to meet them. Though there was a hint that perhaps a few more were born that I'd be interested in. The clutch was accepted by the mother for some reason, so the breeder is hand raising them."

"That would be quite adorable." Incanthis said, thinking about how a tiny youngling riding on a big snaptrotter would look. It would be something to see, that was for sure, something very, very cute! Giving a smile he said, "I can try to help in the training... though I know that I don't quite have the skills in that area that you do." He'd done a bit in the way of training Junior but that was different, Junior was... special. Since all of the rest of the snaptrotters belonged to Abie it was only right that they listened to him after all. As Abie said that it was the ebony whelp that they were going to be picking up he gave a smile, "Oh! How wonderful! I know you've really been looking forward to that one's arrival." Just thinking about the little ebony baby was enough to cause him to forget all about his worries for the moment, "Did you want to go there last then? So that you could spend a lot of time cooing over the little ones?"

Abie seemed to act nearly like a youngling himself when he started to bounce a little. "Sure! The gear vendor isn't too far off. When we get there, he'll be quick about it cause we have the baskets." He got all excited before he reminded himself that he was here with his Healer. He regained some maturity in time as they neared the vendor. "So...do you think he'll try to hike up his price as usual?" he mused to the other. They had already paid for the work in advance due to advice from his Foster Father. Seems the vendor was known for trying to take advantage of others.

Incanthis couldn't wait to see how things were progressing with what they had ordered. He'd gone back to chat with the man a couple of times over some ideas that he'd had for the harness that would ultimately be for Junior so he couldn't wait to see it. It was nothing big, just some clasps that would make it easier to attach things like saddle bags, baskets, or the like to the snaptrotter without it becoming a hassle. That was sort of how it was now when he thought about it. Good equipment would make up for that though. Giving a little sound in his throat Incanthis said, "It's... possible. I have asked for a few additions to the stuff Junior will wear so its possible that he will want a bit more money. It's alright though, I have some coin I made doing some work here and there." Something that he'd started to do in an attempt at getting used to really working with people again. Back when he stayed with Muata he was used to doing a lot in the way of work. After he left the man he'd just gone into hiding and spent a lot of his time doing various chores that didn't exactly net him any money. Something he'd made of for slowly as he tried getting used to people again. It was a bit difficult at times but at least he was doing something that came naturally to him, which was healing. "I think it should be alright." He said reassuringly to Abie.

There was a soft chuckle from Abie as he leaned in to kiss Incanthis' cheek. "Hey, its fine...I know how to haggle." he was rather proud of himself for that. "Besides, save your coin for materials you need for your craft. I sorta figured out a budget for myself. So, I have some side coin we can use to haggle with." They walked up to the craftsmen. The male looking up with a wave. Abie and he talked for a bit, the young rider easily getting the other to agree to a small addition to their already paid charge. Abie looked over the harnesses, rolling them up as he praised the male and asked about a few breeders who were interested in gear for showing off their prized stud. He was glad to hear that they did come to the vendor for their gear. Abie's jaw nearly dropped when he was presented with a basket designed for carrying whelps on either his back or the back of one of the adults. It was the craftsman's thanks for the added business. When they were done, Abie looked the basket over. "This is amazing! Now we don't have to split up a clutch into smaller pouches."

Incanthis gave a little nod of his head, wanting to tell Abie that he didn't mind paying for his modified harness since all of the changes had been his idea. Abie shouldn't have to pay for Incanthis's whims in this manner... but it felt as though Abie was rather determined, huh? Giving a little sigh he could only leave it be and hope he could find a way to help otherwise since his various offers didn't seem to be registering. He supposed that the Rider thing was more of Abie's gig so maybe he didn't want Incanthis's help? Maybe mention of using his money for his own craft was a subtle nudge so Incan would understand? Turning his attention to Junior he set to patting his head, falling quiet as Abie went about talking with the man before him. He'd leave him to the bargaining since he was better at it when it came to this sort of thing. Sadly the thing he was best at haggling about was cloth... which wasn't something that he had as much use for these days. As Abie was presented with a new pack he gave a nod, "Just be careful, you don't want to carry around something too heavy since it might strain your back."

Abie honestly didn't mean any harm by wanting Incanthis to keep his coin. The younger just felt like he should handle expensies for gear towards the beasts. He hummed as his mind wandered over the 'budget' he said he had sorta set up. Maybe he could talk to Incanthis about setting up paying jobs for him...maybe seeing if his craft could go towards beasts. Would be helpful. "Ah...right...so we'll have to figure out how this latches onto the harness." he said with a hum. "Hey, Incan...did you ever try to apply your skills to a beast?" he was curious. "I just had a idea...."

Giving a nod of his head he said, "It would be best... though you need to find a snaptrotter that wouldn't be bothered by carrying a lot of squeaky babies around. A motherly sort... maybe?" Did Abie have any of that nature? It would be better then just packing babies up on just any snaptrotter since it might annoy some of the more gruff types. At least that was the way that he saw it. He only knew Junior well so he could be very off base he realized. "Huh? Oh... sort of? I mean I help Junior out whenever he gets bumps, bruises, or scratches that come along with his ever present need to protect me." He said, scratching the emerald snaptrotter on the head before asking, "Why...?" Abie said that he 'had an idea' but Incanthis couldn't quite fathom what that idea might be. As such he turned to look at the younger male, waiting for everything to be filled in.

Abie came to a stop, strapping the wrapped up gear to Laqui's back. Making sure the pale Snapptrotter was alright with it. He stood to look at the other. "I think it'd be a good idea for you to apply your skills to more than just Junior. I mean I'm sure Laqui and the other whelps would let you near them. They trust you or else they wouldn't sleep on you. I know a lot of breeders and such who complain that not every healer around knows how to take care of their beasts." He looked at the ground. "It was just an idea..." digging his toe into the dirt sorta shyly.
