While Tourmaline's legs dangled, Dia's legs remained bent, hands draped over her knees as heels gently clicked the cement edging. Her eyes had been trained on the General's expression, gauging it carefully as she digested the information the senshi was telling her. If she was pleased by the startled surprise, she failed to show it as her lips remained a thin, dark pink line framed by cotton candy pink bangs. "The week after Christmas. When they seized the house." Eyes moved to casually glance at the sidewalk below them, pretending as if it was simply old news that had no effect on her instead of the world-crashing level it had been when the police had nearly knocked the door in to get inside. Most of the house's furnishings were in question for their origin, including Prissy's belongings, so everything had been taken for evidence purposes. She'd been allowed to pack up most of her clothes and her makeup, but most everything else had been forced to remain behind, under the secure and close watch of Destiny City's finest. "But it's not a big deal. I've still got my room at Chase's and I've got a job, so." Her sentence never continued, voice aimlessly trailing off as she stared at the nearby lamppost that struggled to flicker on for the evening.

"You could have told me sooner. I... s**t. I don't know what I would have done, honestly, so maybe it's best that you waited until you were ready to." Tourmaline shifted as she spoke, leaning back away from the edge of the ledge and then twisting to straddle it instead. It was easier to watch Dia this way and she could focus her attention on her as they talked. "I don't know how you stay there with Sailor Strange, especially now that the liquor is starting to run low." Her nose wrinkled and she paused, blowing her bangs away from her face with a puff of air. She'd stayed because she didn't have anywhere else to go, obviously, or hadn't felt like she'd had anywhere else to go... Or maybe she just wanted to feel closer to the General that had left them all behind. Maybe.... "My place is hardly the Ritz, but if you ever wanted to stay, you know I'd let you have the bed. It's comfortable and warm and I finally picked up a set of black out curtains after last pay." That she'd offer the other young woman her bed at all said something about the level that she held their friendship at. She wouldn't have made that offer to anyone else. Anyone else could have slept on the couch, or the floor. "We could always break in, you know. Take anything you miss that they didn't let you bring with? If we're powered up it's not like they'll know. Bet we could get Aue to lift anything that was heavy." She certainly wouldn't mind watching him flex a bit of muscle.

A young man and his date were strolling down the sidewalk, hand in hand and seemingly without a care in the world. Dia felt her eyes narrow at the sight, her lip curling up into a sneer as she saw him slide his arm around her waist. She was half tempted to leap down and take care of that little public display of affection, but instead chose to return her attention towards her companion. "Sharing your bed? Tourma, you know I only sleep on Egyptian cotton." The sneer slowly morphed into an actual grin, the pinkette moving one hand up to toss her hair back, as though nothing had changed. That she was still the same, rich little snobby girl that the other had known for well over a year now. "But I've scouted the place - they've got a few cameras but I think I know where they're at?" Her shoe tapped again, this time maybe even out of a little shred of excitement. It would be rather fun to have a few of her old belongings back, if they even still existed in her locked away room. "I wouldn't be opposed to giving it a shot. If Lemons doesn't gripe too much about the hauling."

Tourmaline set her hands on the ledge between her thighs, pushing against the concrete as she rose. "Races have started up again now that the weather's finally right for them. If sheets are really all you'd need to consider it." One foot balanced on the ledge, followed soon by the next as her arms extended on either side of her body to help her keep her balance. "Besides, it's only sharing if we're both in bed at the same time. Didn't think I was your type, Dia, but I bet we could get a boy or two by pretending." Not that she was really interested in playing nice with boys. As her friend made mention of the Senshi of Lemons griping she rolled her eyes, dropping her hands down to her sides. "Aue doesn't get to gripe. Not if he knows what's good for him, at least. We both outrank him... And it's not like he has anything else to do. He might even view it as a challenge. Betcha he could disable the cameras."

She rolled her eyes at the girl's comment, hand moving up to rip a strand of pearls off from her bat wing. Without a second thought, she sent the four attached pearls at the other girl, which was probably better than getting pelted by a gumdrop, at the end of the day. "Apparently someone has never had a sleepover before. As much as I enjoy the thought of you sleeping on the floor, I'm afraid I'd simply trip over you every time I got up and that wouldn't do." Her nose found the air as she smirked. "And if he doesn't disable them, it only means he's the one who gets spotted instead of us." Huh. This spur of the moment idea wasn't half so bad... in fact, Dia realized, she was actually getting relatively excited about it. Skye Starrfyre short post sorry /eyes time

"Not everyone got to be the most popular girl in school, Dia." Sleepovers were things that other girls got invited to, or things that she hadn't been allowed to attend even when she had been invited. In the end, she often made up a lot of her own excitement, adventure and intrigue to make up for what she didn't have to begin with. Friends. How was it that she had gone from not needing them at all to being afraid of losing them? How could she be afraid at all? The train of thought left her distracted enough that the pearls pinged her and she swatted them away after the fact. Doing so didn't seem to ground her, instead making her all the more distant for a moment or two longer before she finally snapped out of it, bright greein eyes drifting back to the Senshi of Candy. "Just tell me when and I'll make sure Sourpuss is there too."

It was Dia's turn to stare at the other girl quizzically, as Tourmaline seemed to be drifting off into her own little mental world. Her outspoken bestie was never one to hold her tongue (a fact that she both loathed and loved at the same time) so watching her grow quiet and unresponsive was slightly alarming, to say the least. "Hey, punk." She debated throwing another set of pearls at the girl, but that would take effort, not to mention take away from the beauty of Eternal Sailor Dia's appearance - and there was no way she was going to do that. "I'm the one who's supposed to be brooding and sulky, remember? What gives?" She had half a mind to tell the woman to get the deed over with, to drop by and pick up Lemons and kidnap him for the task - after all, there was a Jimmy Choo set that she'd been desperately missing for a while. "Tell me what's on your mind. I told you what was up with me."

" This." She waved her hands around to signal nothing and everything all at once, taking on a slightly irritated tone as she hopped down from the ledge to pace along the rooftop. "I didn't need anyone before. It didn't matter if I didn't hear from a 'friend' because I could just go out and make new ones. There are people everywhere in this ******** city... But they aren't my people. Not anymore." Tourmaline let out a frustrated huff, running her hand back through choppy locks of hair that feathered back down along her face after passing through her fingers. When had she started to think of the girl with cotton candy pink hair as one of her people when they'd always been worlds apart, even as friends? At what moment had it started to seem like a good idea to spend time around the lupine General? Since when had Aue become someone she could rely on to do grunt work without asking any questions? "It's ******** s**t." Her hand came back up to rub at her face. "You're right though, this isn't about me... And if you decide you don't want to spend time alone at that big, creepy place with that a*****e of a cat by yourself just let me know. I can bring over some movies, or something. We can drink what's left of the fancy stash of liquor while talking trash about everyone's on-screen lives. Maybe find out what places his highness has a card on tab for and order take out that neither of us have to pay for.... And we'll get your stuff back."

Her eyebrow rose at the other girl's sudden animosity but she said nothing, hopping up to the roof with her. Granted, Tourmaline had been going through a rough patch of her own while Prissy had been wallowing in her own self-pity and problems. "I think all of the above is in order," She mused softly, enjoying the thought of some more decent gal-time... especially now that she didn't have to hide the truth from her best friend. No judgement over chipped nails or the fact they couldn't go out for fancy meals anymore. Netflix and pizza seemed to work just fine. "Meet you there, then? To talk about how we're going to do it?" Conversation had rerouted itself back to her - but wasn't that always the case, when Dia was involved?

"Sounds like a plan. Just gotta get my car from the park." Tourmaline's gaze settled on her friend, gears whirling without direction, rhyme or reason. She couldn't pinpoint exactly what she was thinking or feeling, but in the end she smiled brightly. "I've never plotted a heist before," she murmured with a trace of amusement as she stepped back before teleporting herself to the park to retrieve her car. She'd get it back to her apartment, grab a her 'spending the night elsewhere' bag and hop on her bike to meet Prissy back at the manor. A girl's night really was what they both needed.

She forced a smile as she watched the other girl dissolve into thin air. A glance backwards had her debating trying to sneak a starseed or two before leaving, but she decided against it - if she wanted to take out her frustration, she would do so on her former house. Maybe in Daddy's room - wouldn't that serve him right? Not that he was coming back to it anytime soon, of course. Pursing her lips, it was the candy senshi's turn to dissolve into thin air as she made her way back to her current residence, no doubt to grab her own stuff to prepare for. After all, on camera or not, a girl had to look good when robbing her own house!
