The offer surprised Meteora and she almost jerked back. However, processing it, she had to smile, no, that was a smirk on her face. “Well if you are up for it?” Meteora extended her hand offering it to Ele if she really wanted to try it out. “Just a warning. If you do, make sure you don’t move when we land. Otherwise you might step the wrong way.”Closing her eyes, Meteora began to concentrate I pledge my life and loyalty to Cosmos, and to Meteora. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine.
Lord she hoped she remembered that right… Her answer was a blast of cold, moist air smacking her against the side and openings of her dress. Eyes opened and she looked out at the mist and behind her, the rock of the cliff face. They were on a ledge and there, before them, was that straight drop into the fog. “Well...still here.”

“Woah…” Feeling a wave of vertigo wash over her, Eleonora continued to hold onto Meteora just in case she swayed right off the edge of the cliff. “That’s intense.”
Peering over the edge the senshi of heat saw… nothing. Just incredibly dense fog as the Page had described. “I’ve only ever been stuck in weather like this once in my life. Couldn’t see the street light ahead of me until I was almost directly under it.” Thankfully she had her own neighborhood practically memorized to the step or she would have walked off the curb and into a car by mistake instead of the mailbox.
“Do you know if this was the same place you arrived last time? Has anything changed?” She glanced around briefly looking for the piece of rope Met had mentioned .

“Here, back up and stay close to the cliff face.” Met offered, pulling her back as her head looked up. There she could see the end of the rope that broke last time she had attempted to scale the cliff face. It swung there, looking down at her as if trying to laugh in her face. ‘Nah nah...fatty’.
Growling at it, Met looked back at the senshi. “Yep. Same place.” Her voice showed her annoyance as she leaned back herself to the wall. Off to her right and Ele’s side, there were several more ropes hanging, clearly just waiting to be tested! “I didn’t try again because I wanted to see if maybe they got stronger. Only so many ropes and from this one…” She pointed to the one above them. “They aren’t growing back…”

“I’d honestly be more worried if they did. Vines, maybe; but ropes are made to decay over time because most are made from natural fibers. But I guess, once you add magic to the mix, anything is possible.” The last was said moreso to herself.
“Hmm,” Ele leaned over to pick up the piece of rope coiled nearby. “I wonder… Do you think they use to be like a rope bridge maybe. Instead of made for climbing maybe they went across somehow.”
“How do you feel about doing a sound test? You know, dropping a rock or something over the side of the cliff to see how far down it goes.” It would be kind of hysterical if they were closer to the bottom than top. Not that it would necessarily do them much good since fog is denser than air and would likely be worse if they went down. No doubt up was the way they would ultimately want to go; kind of like being in downtown Destiny City in the fall and going up one of the skyscrapers. When you look down the streets are all but gone but at least you can see the horizon.

“With magic, I have come to expect the unexpected.” Meteora sighed, seeming less amused than she wanted to show. “Used to believe myself a highly educated woman who looked for fact over fiction. And now…” She motioned to her attire. “Threw that all out the window!”
As if to add to her effect, Met leaned over, picked at what appeared to be a loose stone on the edge before kicking it free.
Down it went.
And down….and down...and down…
“You know, I’m starting to wonder if it is possible to not have a bottom.”
Ele leaned closer to the edge, listening intently for that soft pinging sound indicating it had either rolled down a sloped; hell a splash would have been welcome at this point.

“Well damn…” She said after a moment of breathless silence. “That’s impressive.”
After setting the rope back down the Senshi of Heat brushed her hands off on her skirt then crossed her arms in front of her chest in mild contemplation. “Just because there is more out there than you once knew doesn’t mean you any less intelligent. It just means that not everything is as linear as we hope it would be. With that being the case though, I assume that logical means of approaching this conundrum of a wonder may not be of much use which means we need to think outside of the box.” Eleonora flashed Meteora a smile then winked.
“I don’t know if there is much more either of us can do today but, if it is okay with you, I’d like to maybe come back again and help you figure out how to get off this ledge.” Not really known for thinking ahead, Ele knew she deserved at least some brownie points for not hiking up her skirt and trying to scale the ridge here and now and instead actually considered the safety of herself and Cosmos Page beside her.

“I would love the company. Bring my fiance here and he would either have followed the rock or been trying to scale the cliff wall. Though with those horns, he might have made it. I’m just tired of paying off medical bills this month.” there was a long sigh and Meteora offered out her hand to the senshi once more.
“Ele, I would love the company. Maybe it’s time I look up means of getting rid of fog...or how to transport a really large box fan.”
“But let’s get back before your sister finds I kidnapped you.”

Granted that was probably the first thing her twin would think Ele felt less concerned about her sister's worrying after the mention of Meteoras fiance. Nonetheless she remained silent on the topic, save for the look she gave the page, and took her outstretched hand in her own. “Sounds good.”

Focusing her mind on Earth, Meteora closed her eyes and felt herself and Ele lifted and returned. It was a sure thing when the mist of the fog was no longer clinging to her skin and her eyes fluttered open.
“Makes me glad I didn’t try to do my hair today.” Met chuckled, releasing the woman’s hand. “I hope you enjoyed that Ele.”

“I did, thank you!”
Before powering down, the Senshi of Heat surveyed the area for any pedestrians that could be watching or Auras that felt chaotic in nature. Having neither seen nor felt either her fuku was replaced by the outfit she had been wearing earlier that day; a pair of jeans with thigh high black boots, a grey turtleneck, olive green sweater and side bag hanging off her shoulder.
Reaching into her satchel she pulled out a small pad of paper and pen to write her phone number down on. “Here’s my contact information.” Breana offered the Page the torn piece of paper that had her actual name written on it. “Please feel free to give me a call at any time. We can go on patrol together sometime or if you’d like company visiting your world again, I’d love to join you.”
Numbers were swapped and after a brief farewell the two went on about their evening; Lena on her way home and Bre waiting for her sister to get off work so they too could go home.
