"It's a good belief to have." Replied Tyiva quietly before they continued on in silence. Even though the Oban was relying heavily upon the blade to move the Alkidike woman never once complained or stopped to rest. At this point she was afraid stopping would keep them from going forward. So she refused to stop until they reached a secure area that would be good for camp.
As she helped Karo to rest on the ground the Alkidke shook her head, "No apologies needed. We are companions, no? It is what it is." The blade began to walk around them and prepare, "Just don't pass out on me yet, chew on this herb. It should help numb some pain." She cut a long leaf from a violet colored plant and handed it to the Oban, "I'll prepare more medicine for you, but hopefully that will help for now."

The Oban stretched out her limbs, feeling them ache and cramp under the assault and then trek they had just been through. She tried to massage one of her shoulders and grimaced. A bath would have done her some good right about now with the coldest water she could find. Back home that would have been something easy to find but out here it was impossible. Still after what her mother had done she was not about t return. There was no way she`d ever allow that one to drag her back so that she`d have to answer to her brother.
Karo gently took the herb and began to chew on it. It was bitter with a tangy after taste that was really weird, but she didn`t question the herb that Ty gave her.
“Thank you,” She felt completely useless while watching Ty make the medicine. “I swear I know how to fight,” she said chuckling as a joke. It made her uncomfortable to not be doing anything.

Tyiva glanced towards Karo with a hint of wry amusement flickering across her face, "I believe you." She replied finally as she continued to mash herbs together before pouring in a strange liquid from a vial she had in her satchel, "Even the strongest of warriors can struggle....everyone needs help at some point, especially in the beginning of their tales." The alkidike's antenna flicked up thoughtfully, "At least from the stories I've heard from earthling bards that seems to be a thing." The slight tease left her before she prepared a fire and set the concoction upon it.
"So perhaps this just means you are one of those earthling heros who is just about to begin some journey to unlock her potential." Tyiva teased lightly as she watched the greenish liquid bubble above the fire, "As it is I don't mind helping you and once this medicine cools I will have you drink it so I can stitch your arm properly while you sleep." She took it from the flames and poured a part of it into a small earthen jar while a smaller amount went into a shallow wooden bowl that she sat on the ground next to Karo, "Just breathe on it for now until it's cool enough. This will ease your pain and put you into a deep sleep for the night."

Karothdra chuckled; Tyiva was the most joking light hearted Alkidike she’d ever met. She really liked her and she made a great traveling companion. The Oban watched her with an earnest smile, she felt content. Something she hadn’t felt in a very long time. It soothed the old pain of losing her father and maybe closed those up just a bit more so Karo wouldn’t have to worry about them. She found herself not looking forward to having to part ways with Tyiva, she wanted to keep her close for as long as possible. What that something silly to feel?
“Maybe.” Karo said with a light shrug. She took the warm pot and both blew and inhaled as she went. “I’m glad I’ll be asleep for that part.” Tyiva was also very caring; Karo coughed and blushed just a bit. She was thinking about Tyiva quite often wasn’t she? Even though it was still a bit hot, Karothdra drank down the liquid and handed the empty pot back to the Alk.
“Hopefully tomorrow this will all be some sad and forgotten dream.” Laying back, Karothdra settled herself down, she may as well move the process along a bit right? Sleep began tugging at her soon after though and it wasn’t long before Karothdra had quietly slipped into her dreams.

Tyiva simply smiled at the small quip. I suppose no one wants to be awake for that part. Save for perhaps some of her more earnest sisters who believed that pain must be accepted and acknowledged as a trait of any good warrior. They would simply embrace the scares and only grit their teeth during the stitching. Such actions were not ones that Tyiva would wish upon any and she was thankful that she could at least ease Karo's pain with the sleeping drought. Even Tyiva wasn't certain if she could stand to see the earthling in much pain. Strange how protective she was of the other woman, but it was true - perhaps it was her simply wishing to fill the void that had been left without the interactions with her alk sisters? Or something else?
Tyiva shoved the distracting thoughts away as she began to twist the plant fibers for stitching. Soon enough she was carefully holding the Oban's arm and using a bone needle cooked in hot water to weave the threads and stitch up the wound. Afterwards she applied a paste and bandages to the wound and once she was satisfied Tyiva laid down near Karo so that she could keep an eye on the woman for the remainder of the night. An interesting beginning to our travels...if this is the start then I must be prepared for all the trouble we will find along the way. Aisha protect them then and help them to be strong as they traveled...
