Blue eyes narrowed as Adria appeared to pull back and away. The fight was rapidly ending and Marcasite wasn't sure she was okay with that. Instinct, and the training that Xenotime had impressed upon her, had her wanting to force him to finish things.
It demanded that she quit playing around and turn this ruse into something real.
But she didn't, because, by all accounts Adria had been respectful and had played along with her games even if he was scare and uncertain. He was asking for permission to leave, though he could have lashed out at her with whatever magic he had up his sleeve.
She shouldn't let him leave, she knew that and yet, she nodded.
"Fine." The word was exhaled with a sigh and she pushed her hat back further on her head. "You better go, before I change my mind."kyuseisha no hikari can fin on your next post!

Adria didn’t need a warning to get out of there, especially if there was a risk of her changing her mind. “Thank you,” he said quickly, already raising a hand to wave as he turned away. “I’ll see you again,” he promised. He could only hope it was under good circumstances, but he wasn’t one to leave with any sort of bad blood.
“Um—It was nice to meet you. Have a good night and stay safe,” he said, but he wasted no more time in parting.
He had an odd feeling about all of this, but it was one that lingered even after they’d parted.
But…she’d let him leave, so she couldn’t be that bad, right?
