Tamara shrugged and began glancing around for a shrub or tall patch of grass. "Oh. That. No. My father left the tree. My mother wasn't exactly comfortable around all the people. You see......" She paused, trying to formulate a plan on how to express her mother's tendencies. "Well, she just has issues as a whole. Ah!" She paused again to rub her feet into a rather inoccuous looking bush.
She turned back toward Ichane. "She's much more comfy in their more isolated home than inside the great tree. She needs space and whatnot. "
She ended her explanation with a dismissing wave of her hand that turned into a chin poke. "Actually. I can't say that I've ever been to the Great Tree. Have you?" She asked.

He nodded thoughtfully in understanding. But as he gave an aloft air, he was watching her quite carefully. Examining her every move, carefully tucking away bits of her mannerisms and tidbits of information into the folder of his minds eye. "No, unfortunately. The Tree is a bit...far to go when you need to keep hydrated. Especially if you don't have a compelling reason to go. That and the...hooves." He grimaced at the thought. A long travel where he'd have to keep from drying out, to a place filled with...with HOOVED FAUN? No. No no no no no. He shook his head as if to physically remove the thought.
"I don't much leave the lake. It's quiet. Convenient. I certainly move much easier with fin than foot. And I agree with your mothers sentiment. Less pae about." Ah, there it was. Finally the gripping fear from his night terror was gone. All but forgotten. He could breathe easy again, and there was a subtle new spark to his eyes.
