The blade laughed, "I felt as if I had been hit by a menzuri!' Her cheeks flushed lightly at the outburst before she glanced away shyly, "I mean it was a rather strange and unexpected occurrence. If I hadn't been with others I would have felt as if it were some strange dream."
The comments about finding earthlings attractive made Tyiva's cheeks darken even more, "Do you believe so? I do think spending some time with the earthlings does get one used to their different features." She swallowed shyly, "I still think it's rather interesting how they try to match up to our fighting skills, but they are not always so bad." A strange confession that she would have never even thought of having before going out into the earthling lands all those months ago, "They are in their own way quite charming at times. Others are downright nasty, but even our own kind has seen some of those." Such as those banished to Yael. The thought of them made her body clench in disgust. Killing for no reason, just wanting land, and even willing to harm sisters for their cause? No wonder Aisha did not bless them with victory that day. They were delusional.

Danika watched her friend with curiosity. Had going to the earthling lands changed Tyiva so much? The apprentice remembered how as a youngling the blade had appeared so intimidating at first and then motherly. Yet when an earthling had approached Chibale one day with his Alkidike mate Tyiva had frozen on the spot. She had even sneered, but now there was respect?
It was interesting to say the least. It was even better to see how the other Alkidike's face seemed to darken at the thought of finding earthlings attractive, "Some charm, hmm? Is it because you bonded with one during your travels?" Danika found herself teasing as she leaned towards Tyiva, "Is there something I don't know about, sister?" Surely not, right?
Could such a thing even be possible for Tyiva? Only Aisha would know. And if she did then surely she would be laughing at Danika right now for being in such shock! Or would she be feeling coy as Danika felt after the shock?

Surely Tyiva's cheeks couldn't darken anymore than they already were. Yet she found her heart racing nervously as the young mystic leaned in teasingly, "I mean...they are like a strange flower, yes!" She found herself admitting, "At first you think of it as some weed that has woven into your garden, but then as time passes if you leave it be it actually blooms into something pretty. Different, but still beautiful and beneficial to the plants around it."
She shook her head sheepishly, "I may have found a friend on my travels, but she is just a fellow warrior. I honor her for trying so hard and being so determined in her quest. That is all."

A beautiful, but strange flower? It seemed that when Danika had sent Tyiva out into the earthling lands that she had done more than send her friend out for information. It seemed instead that the woman was not only opening her mind to new things, but also her heart as well. The thought made Danika smile faintly. So perhaps there was some chance of harmony after all in these lands.
"She must be a great warrior to have your good faith." Replied the young mystic lightly, "I'm glad to hear it." Danika twisted her fingers, "As much as I would love to grab a pair of blades and follow you into outside lands my place is here. All I could do was worry about you and pray to Aisha for your safety." She sighed quietly before glancing over to Tyiva with a small smile, "So earthling or not I'm glad you have one companion at least."

The older Alkidike reached out a comforting hand towards the mystic, "No worries. If you weren't here to pray for me then surely I would have more troubles than ever before." The blade smiled warmly, "Your good faith in me and your love spreads far outside of Chibale. I'm so thankful to know that I have someone who thinks so fondly of my back home and prays for me constantly. The all important mystic at that."
She laced her fingers with Danika's and sighed, "But enough talk of things, I'm exhausted and I'm sure your time is short. Let us rest for a bit and then we can go about our own missions again soon enough." With that she leaned against the young mystic and closed her eyes.
It was nice to be home. Even if for a short while it was always nice to know that she had a dear friend to come visit and to check in with.
