"Hmm.. I dunno." Peter Pan.. he could only remember him being referred to as a giant fist in the sky that killed people. Colour was not coming to his memory anymore. So many other events pushed those details far back. He gave Chance a small smile of thanks, even if the bugger was doodling over his bad-a** artwork. "I guess I have. It's a lot more than I'm comfortable dealing with." He ruffled his own hair, before settling his gaze on Chance again. "One thing at a time, right?" That was the sensible thing to do. It also made things more humanly possible for him. "I'll have to find more pieces. Might get into trouble though." As if either of them were strangers to danger. He tugged on an errant curl on Chance's head to tease him. "I've had enough studying for one day. Wanna ditch class?" He gave the man a cheeky smile.

"It's a lot of things in general to deal with," said Chance in agreement, eyeing the paper with all of the notes, the scattering of books, the multitude of pages with unfamiliar concepts on them. "I'm actually a little surprised that you haven't spontaneously combusted at this point..."
The tug on his hair made his lips quirk up, Chance laughing. "I thought trouble was your middle name. And sure, let's get out of here."
He stood up, reaching for Otto's hand automatically, tangling their fingers together.
"What do you want to do with your newly freed time off?"

"I came close." To spontaneously combusting, anyway. Otto was never known for an even temper. He gathered his papers and books, tossing them into his backpack. He was glad to be rid of his work for a short while. He clasped his hand in Chance's and led him out of the library. "Hmm.. eat?" As if that was any surprise. "I'm thinkin' mystery special in the cafeteria. Walked by earlier and it smelled like real food."

He made a face.
"Real food as in the kind of food that's actually edible?" Chance asked, sounding amused, as they went down the hall. "Or do you mean real food as in cake or pie or general 'Otto food?' "
He knew you, Otto.

Otto sniffed indignantly. " Edible food." He didn't sound entirely convincing.

"Burgers. They're making burgers." Otto grumbled in defence, defiantly letting go of Chance's hand and stuffing his own in his pockets. "..... also they restocked the Hostess cupcakes in the vending machine."

Chance just bumped his shoulder against Otto's, still trying not to laugh.
"Aha," he said, voice triumphant. "Burgers and cupcakes, I knew it. You could have just said so, y'know."
He grinned down at Otto as they rounded a corner and went down a hall nearing the cafeteria, the smell of ground beef wafting towards them.
"At least now we're fully adults again," Chance deadpanned. "I don't have to try and figure out who everyone is anymore."

Otto nodded, letting the gravity of what could have been had events been unkind to them both. "I heard a lot of other hunters didn't get turned back, though." Otto murmured, his face flushing unhappily. "Like America.. bunch of'em don't remember who they used to be." How easily it could have been himself or Chance. If Otto had allowed that vine covered dragon to beat him.. would he have ended up the same? He shivered at the thought. What about Chance? If Chance had stayed a young teen, with no memories of their relationship and growth together, such heartbreak would have been his own downfall. He shoved his hands deeper into his pockets, his shoulders hunched as if curling in on himself. "It's scary stuff."

That was a piece of information Chance hadn't heard. He slowed his steps a little, a frown on his face as he said, "I didn't think that was a possibility; I figured this was just another..." He waved a hand. "I don't know, a thing that happened that would eventually be fixed."
He didn't know America that well, only vaguely from Twitter. Chance's gaze flicked down to Otto's unhappy face, the hunched posture, his own hands tucked into the pockets of his jeans and could have probably guessed his thoughts; a part of him wondered if there was anyone that he knew that had also remained young.
He bent his head and dropped a light kiss to the top of Otto's head before straightening again.
"It is," said Chance simply as they stepped into the cafeteria. "I'm not so sure I want to know who else is young, but...I'm glad you're not. And I'm glad I'm not."

"That's what I thought too. But a bunch of'em on Twitter.." He shrugged uncomfortably. "Never realized that s**t could ever be permanent." He gave Chance a small smile and a nod, not even minding the small gesture of affection given to him out in public. "Me too." His face fell slightly, a shiver raking him as his imagination went south. "I honestly couldn't handle it if you'd stayed young and didn't remember me." That was as much of an I Love You as Chance would get, as they rounded the corner and entered the cafeteria. Food would soon take priority over his own boyfriend. "See? What'd I tell ya. Burger day. Fresh."

Chance had forgotten about Twitter, a light frown of thought still on his face as he considered this; but his gaze caught the look on Otto's face, and something in Chance's expression softened. He didn't need the I love you; that was evidence enough of Otto's feelings.
"Ditto," he said, which was also the same, and smiled, a note of mild amusement in his voice as he said, "All right, all right, burgers it is."
A tray was passed to Otto, Chance taking one for himself.
"Salad?" he asked innocently, gesturing at it.

Otto turned his head with an arrogant teenage sass that rivalled that of his actual teenage self from the week before. "No." He said after a long glare was aimed at Chance. Salad? Why would Otto Graves willingly ingest a salad? Lettuce belonged on only two things; burgers and BLTs. "There's veggie stuff on burgers already. See? Lettuce and tomato and pickles."

Chance just smiled broadly at Otto.

"I don't think pickles are a vegetable," he said, as he set a burger - and a salad, deliberately - down onto his tray. Chance snagged a bag of chips and then, after a thought, a small bag containing two chocolate chip cookies in it as well, plunking it down beside the burger.
Then he set one on Otto's tray because cookies were important.

While giving Otto some cookies, Chance would notice Otto had already added two small bags of chips next to two burgers. Satisfied, Otto grabbed a can of coke from the vending machine (and of course a package of cupcakes) and found a place for them both to sit down. Meanwhile, Tenya gaped at the spread on Otto's tray and asked her hunter where he intended all that food to go exactly.
