Koril's eyes widened. Yes, their rooms had to be at least as big as mom's! "Yup!" He turned to look down the hall, but paused to look back down at the main hall. He closed his eyes for a moment and smiled. So many people having fun together! "Maybe in our bigger house on the water," he suggested, watching Kyril with a smile. "You would have so many guys hanging around in fancy clothes, trying to get your attention."

Shadiya nodded, "It does." The woman smiled as they twisted through the garden paths and came towards the back door. It was opened as she had left it earlier and from there she could see their children moving through the house, "Of course." Shadiya laughed, "I'm not going to let them get too carried away. I'm going to continue dancing as well, but at least we won't have to worry about scraping together to patch a leaky roof now."
She leaned against Dexurn with a small smile, "Though I do enjoy the image of a certain Matori man working on things under the sun without his shirt on." Teasingly the woman stood on her tiptoes so that she could kiss his cheek, "Though I suppose I can get his shirt off through other tactics besides a leaky roof."
"Buuuut I suppose we should go see what trouble the children are getting into as well. I want to show you one of my favorite places inside~"

"Maybe." Kyril grinned, "Would be fun right? Ooooh, I wonder if we could get one of those overlooks..." A veranda it was called? Her gaze lit up at the thought, "It could look over the ocean. That would be so lovely!" And if they did have parties then guests could come and dance out there and she...her cheeks flushed before she nudged her brother, "I doubt that. I'm too much of a prickly person for any man to want to get o know me." She laughed, "More like I'll have to keep people off of my handsome brother."
Noticing their parents through the opened door the girl smiled, "Let's keep looking around, ok?"

Dex he peeked over at the brief sight of the kids, his smile warming. To think they wouldn't have to struggle like he and Shade had... Brow rising along with a bit of heat in his cheeks, he wrapped his arms around Shade to pull her close. "Oh, I'll still do the work myself. We just won't have to wait forever to afford the materials." Yes, she still managed to make him feel like a shy youth sometimes...
"Lead the way," he said, letting her go but keeping a hold of her hand. Such delicate fingers she had..

Koril grinned and gave Kyril a firm hug. "You're pretty enough to put up with the prickly," he assured playfully, spinning to run outside of arm's reach. He headed for the first door he saw and pulled it open. Inside was a mostly empty room, though some large, box-like item sat against one wall. "Ooh! What's this?" he hurried over to look, yelping with surprise when the floor broke under one foot, his whole leg vanishing from view. He heard his father yelp in a similar manner from under him. Oh, dad and mom could probably see his leg down there. "I'm okay!" he hollered. Well, it was a bit of a stretch for his hips, but nothing was broken! As he slowly tried to pull himself free, he noticed he'd fallen through a poorly done patch job. Even he could have done better! ..probably. "Mom! Your uncle was bad at fixing things!"

Shadiya hummed happily at the hug, "Sounds like a good plan then." Honestly though she had to glance around. It would probably take a good amount of her inheritance to get the manor back into action and then to also afford them a new home should they want one in Matori. Rubbing her thumb over her husband's hand as they walked the woman let out a slight gasp as she saw her son's leg, "Koril!"
Out of all things...
Pursing her lips Shadiya shook her head as she moved towards the stairs quickly, "It seems so." At least he had pulled back in time. Had that been left like that as a trap? The woman's gaze narrowed. It was that or her uncle was so stuck to the bottom floors that nothing had been really taken care of along the second, "Just be careful up there okay? We'll be up there soon enough!"
She flushed lightly as she glanced at Dexurn, "So I guess I know the first area to have someone repair now."

Kyril laughed, "Thanks for that!" She teasingly reached after him before slowly following along. It did seem rather dusty and empty up here. At least the first floor had signs of life, but this level...well it just seemed perfect for a ghost story.
Her thoughts, however, spiraled to a stop when she saw her brother disappear. "Koril!" Kyril grit her teeth as she moved forward in reaction, "That's the best you can say?" She replied back with a loud sigh as he started pulling himself out, "Give me your hands."
The girl held out both hands toward him, "I'll pull you back out you goof."

Dex looked for blood before he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Koril..." He headed for the stairs with Shade, now watching the floor as well. How many spots had gotten a poor repair job? "Better let me walk ahead to make sure what parts are solid," he muttered, already walking a little ahead to inspect the flooring they walked over.
Reaching the doorway, he figured it might be best for his heavier frame to stay out of the room... "Koril, you sure you're okay?"

Koril looked up at Kyril with his brows raised in question. "What else should I say?" he asked innocently, reaching up for the offered hands. "I didn't mean to find it!" Once his leg was free, he gave Kyril a firm hug. "Glad I found it rather 'n you!"
Looking back, he smiled at his father and nodded. "Yup!" He turned again to look at the box thing, his original target, but shook his head. Maybe that was better off left alone..

Shadiya nodded, "Sure." Though honestly it broke her heart to see the decay of the house. She definitely would have to see about getting someone to come in and repair it soon. A few months probably would be required...her mind tried to calculate the funding and the expenses...there would definitely be some meetings while they spent a few days here in Oba. She had a lot to figure out after all.
Smiling at the sight of her children Shadiya could only shake her head, "You're lucky. From now on we might want to look down before we step up here. The bottom level is safest so if we need to spend a couple of nights we can take the chambers downstairs." She glanced over to Dexurn as if to check for confirmation. Surely he was okay with that? It wouldn't be for long - just long enough for her to get things situated and then they could travel again.

Kyril still sighed, "True, true. But that doesn't mean I can't be upset that it happened." The girl smiled as she hugged her brother back, "I just got worried and honestly even if it's funny to imagine the sight of your leg dangling down now it was scary at the time. What if the floor had completely given away?" She squeezed him, "Silly." She glanced over at her parents as they appeared, "So what now? Do we continue to explore or do you guys have things figured out already?" Honestly after the scare she was more wary of the house, but there was still some curiosity about what was inside. So much of her mom's past was here after all!

Dex nodded. "Yeah. Let's have you stick to the main... floor." He glanced to Shade with his hesitation, and then quickly away. He wasn't sure what he'd been thinking, but staying a 'couple' nights was not on his agenda. Silly of him, really... "Your mother has a lot to do, so it's best to not worry her by running around up here.

Koril smiled bashfully and shrugged. "But it didn't, so we're good!" he chirped optimistically. He looked at his parents and sighed. "I'll be more careful! I wanna explore more." He looked at his mother and stuck out his lower lip, hoping she could convince their father. "Pleeeeeeeease?"

Shadiya reached over to squeeze her husband's hand, "If not we can always go for an inn or if you would like to go ahead with the children towards Sauti that's fine as well. You can scope it out for me or something." She whispered quietly as she rested her head for a moment on his shoulder, "I'm a grown woman so you don't need to worry so much about guarding me." She teased quietly, "So don't force yourself." Blinking the woman laughed at Koril, "I mean...hrm. Well I think if you're super careful and have Kyril right next to you at all times...surely it'll be okay. Just as long as you have light - no exploring around in the dark, okay?" She blinked up at Dexurn, "I mean it's not like they'll get the chance to see this place anymore until after it's fixed back up. They might find some interesting things left behind from my family?" She smiled as she nudged a hip against Dexurn, "Plus we can watch them and stay up here as well. It'll be okay?"

"Please, papa?" Kyril blinked up towards her father with huge, innocent eyes, "I'll make sure to keep an eye on Koril and we'll look at the floor before we move forward. Just like this!" She reached a foot out daintily and tapped it against the boards, "See? Firm and strong." The girl nodded as she reached out to loop an arm through Koril's, "Should be just fine!" She tugged at her brother, "We'll try some of the rooms further down the hallway, okay?"
