"Not touchy, just smart." She couldn't emphasis that last bit enough. Walking - or rather, flying - into enemy lands without a single weapon on board would have been fool hardy. For all they knew they could have been killed the moment they stepped out of the airship.

"Real food as opposed to fake food?" She said it as dry as possible, without even the slightest hint of amusement, even if she may have felt it. "A full meal would be nice. We tried to ration what we had to make sure we would have enough for the entire crew. It's hard to know how much to pack when you don't know how long the journey will actually take."

"Yeah, yeah, it's a very smart move." She wasn't about to argue the logic of bringing weapons along, of course. Instead, she stuck her hand into her little purse to check how much money she had. Should be able to cover a full meal for the girl and a bite for herself. "I know how that goes. Never really know how much ta keep fer what could be ages."

Inside the tavern, the crowd was rather small, which was probably preferable for the hungry traveler. "Go 'head 'n order what ya want," she offered, pointing to the modest menu scrawled out on the wall for everyone to see.

[9/???]

It pleased Ritz to no end that the tavern didn't have nearly as many people as what was gathered outside. She assumed most, even the drunkards, had stumbled out to see the ruckus which gave her a moment to breath. All of that coupled with the fact that the room itself was darker, taking some of that horrid sunlight off her eyes, made Ritz a very happy girl indeed.

She looked the menu over, and muddled on a few things. "Some of these sound similar to what we have, but a lot I have no idea what they are. What is a moracker meat pie? What exactly is a moracker?"

Rho looked over the menu herself, debating what to get for herself. Something light.. Maybe one of the salads... Brow rising as the meat pie was pointed out, she opened her mouth to reply.. but paused and raised a finger to her chin instead. How to explain a moracker... She had nothing to compare it to, since she knew nothing of the other's homeland.

Well, can't hurt to try. "It's yummy, no doubt." Using her hands, she tried to gesture out about how big it was, and the general shapes of it. Hopefully, that made a little sense? "Ev'ryone 'round here eats 'em."

Yummy wasn't exactly what Ritz had hoped for, but she supposed it was difficult trying to explain it. "What is it, though? Is it some kind of pack animal or...?" Maybe it was a strange kind of fish, or some kind of equine beast?

When she made the gestures, Ritz tried to wrap her mind around it. "So it's just...small?" How many did it take to make one pie, then? And how big was the pie? The teenager shook her head, "I'll take one, with some water." At least the water she knew.

Rho cocked her head slightly. Small was all she got out of that? Scratching at her ear, Rhonann paused in thought bvefore laughing. "Yeah, that's 'bout it." With the order decided, she approached the counter to place it with the server, and headed over to pick out a table. Sitting, she took a minute to stretch out her faingers, hands, arms, neck, and shoulders after all that lying down to practice earlier.

Of course, the water came first in a large pitcher with two mugs. Rhonann wiped her hands onto her torn cloak before reaching to pour herself a glass. "Wha'dya eat back home?" she asked suddenly, wondering what it was that the girl was familiar with.

[11/20]

Ritz scrunched up her nose before following the mainlander to a table. She started to yawn, and drowned it out by sheer force of will. There would be time for sleeping later, but right now she wanted to focus on the food that was to come.

She took a seat, moving one leg up underneath her and turning just slightly so that the other could dangle. Well, skim the floor, what with her height.

"Lyari, sometimes. They're small, hooved, and generally travel in herds. A friend of my mother's tends to one so that's where most of our meat comes from." Not that they ate much meat at all. It wasn't that her family was against the practice, it just generally took longer to prepare and they were all busy with their own projects.

Rho nodded slowly. "Perhaps similar to our capramel.. They are small and in herds as well. Many around here raise them for their meat and fur." She glanced around, and pointed to a coat covering a stranger's shoulders. "That is their fur. It's good for cool nights and protection from the sun." Looking around at the busy tavern, she couldn't help a small sigh. So many faces.. and not the one she was convincing herself she didn't want to see.

"Sounds close enough." Maritza poured herself a hearty mug of water, and drank, surprised to have felt much more refreshed than she thought. How long had it been since she'd had any water? Certainly before the crash, that was for sure, and maybe a few hours before that as well...

Knowing her she had worked through one or two meals just to keep everything smooth only to have it all fall out beneath her.

An odd sort of silence drug on between them. Ritz wasn't sure how to do small talk; anything that wasn't engine related seemed ridiculous to her, but... "So do you have a mate?" She seemed young enough, still fertile enough to bear children, and she was active so surely those were things others looked for in a partner.

And she had...hair. That was nice too.

Rho popped her neck a couple times, briefly trying to imagine the capramel slightly differently, as described by the orange-haired woman. It would be quite interesting to be able to see the other world, but that would have to wait until she had gotten justice for her family. ..Well, maybe revenge was more what she wanted, but either way, traveling abroad would have to wait.

As the wait stretched, she was content enough to let it continue. After all, her interest was on the weapon mentioned. Brow rising at the question, it took her a moment to register what was being asked. The image of a man with long, dark hair and two-tones eyes popped into her head, and she growled the image away. "A mate!? I should think not," she huffed, waving her hand dismissively. After a second, her gaze flicked over to the girl. "..Why? Do you?"

[13/20]

Maritza leaned back into her chair, shifting her legs just enough to re position herself in a more comfortable pose. "That was...certainly a reaction." There was enough skepticism laced into her words that it wouldn't take Rhonann long to figure out Maritza wasn't buying it. Either her heart had been tampered with or there was currently someone she was eyeing who hadn't yet noticed her. Otherwise, that kind of question wouldn't bug her so much.

"No, I do not. I've been told I'm 'hard to approach' and 'emotionally dead'."
Maritza shrugged her shoulders, looking up when a server brought out their food. "I hope to find one in the next ten years to procreate, but beyond that I see little use of having someone of that nature in my life."

Rho blushed hotly and looked away, lips pressing tight to stop herself from grumbling more. "Mates 're overrated," she huffed, shaking her head.

They reply to her own question did catch her by surprise though. Brow cocking slightly, she looked back at Maritza curiously. "Really? That a common view over where ye're from? Yer parents got together just fer the sole purpose o' havin' ya?"

Martiza picked at her meal, moving a bit of meal around in the bowl before plucking it up with her fork. It seemed to be well done, and it smelled nice enough, but she was still unsure on the flavor.

"Not entirely. We have plenty of traditional families, mine simply isn't one of them." She plopped the bit of stew into her mouth and spent a moment simply savoring the flavor. It was actually really good. She closed her eyes for a minute, an actual smile spreading across her face before swallowing. "My mother works in the transportation sector, and I assume my father does - or did - as well. She must have had biological urges that caused her to seek out a mate and the act resulted in a child." She shrugged, as if it were the most normal explanation for birth possible. There was no love; no romance or grand story of a happy family. Hers simply was.

"I assume the same was true for my older brother, because neither of us remember a father growing up."

Scooping up a good portion, Rho contently chewed on her food. I was nice to be able to afford food without too much concern. It was also nice to see the stranger enjoying the meal as well.

The explanation was so lacking in any sort of emotion, Rho couldn't help being thrown off. Finally regaining her memories of a loving family, the idea of a family living out of expectations rather than affections... was odd. "I s'pose if that's what ye're used ta," she replied, taking another bite of food. "In that case, good luck findin' yerself a good one~"

[15/20]

"It's the only thing that makes sense. Building families based on feelings and desires isn't stable. Emotions are fickle and prone to change. You're best to find an outlet for your carnal urges and move on."

If she just so happened to find a partner whom shared her intellect then maybe she would settle. There would be no love between them, though; if he couldn't pull his own weight or started to spout nonsense to her offspring, possibly at the risk of making them stupid then she would run him off. Simple as that.

"Shouldn't be too hard to find one. All you need are the downstairs bits and you're done. Unless you prefer the company of women, then you would need the secondary, torso bits as well." Looking over, Maritza noticed a bit of bread had been left out for them as well. And, completely unfazed by her conversation, she pointed to it with a fork, "Are you going to eat that?"
