Juugou could hear the sound of combat coming from the other side of the door, which meant his plan had worked to some degree, but he was unsure for how long it would last. I have to figure a way out of here... thought the young Aburame, taking a good look at the room for the first time. Immediately the first thing he noticed was the partially open chest atop a table in the center of the room. A cool, grayish white light shone from the lid, which caused Juugou to look at it with curiosity. He approached it cautiously, recalling the strange beam of light the soldiers had used to eviscerate his swarm of insects the night before. Upon reaching the chest Juugou opened it completely to see what was inside, bathing the entire space in the radiance.

INDENTArina watched the separate boy make some impressive moves defeating a lifeless himself... The two of them were still heavily outnumbered however and the lifeless seemed to understand that as they began to spread out covering more ground. Despite having killed the lifeless within the immediate area, one of the creatures still somehow managed to grab Aka'Parth even breaking his concentration. As it would turn out, despite them prevailing over the initial attack, the spell that the holy prince intended to use was just not conducive to their time frame in the heat of action.

INDENTArina reacted when Aka'Parth was grabbed without even thinking. She reached out to attack the creature but unfortunately was struck down. She landed on her back taking a great deal of damage but was not swayed from her position. The young girl used the blow to her advantage pushing herself up into what appeared to be a handstand and then swinging her legs around in a counter-clockwise motion, she managed to repel the rest of the creatures from attacking the holy family. The young girl realized that she wouldn't be able to carry on like this forever. Despite being a hard working kunoichi, she still had a long way to go before she had the stamina to continue difficult fights like this in constant motion for so long, especially considering she was so fatigued before the fight had even begun.

Juugou blinked a few times to accustom himself to the the metallic glow, which began to fade to reveal the beads within in more detail. They were reflective and silvery, almost looking like teardrops. The young Aburame put his hand into the chest and combed is fingers through the precious metal, watching the beads clink against each other as they passed through the gaps. This must be it! The legendary Lost Alloy! he thought. There was more commotion on the other side of the door. Someone cried out in pain and there was the sound of bodies hitting the floor. Crap! I have to find a way out of here! Juugou called forth four insects to search the nooks and crannies of the room, and if they were to locate any drafts or light sources they were to report back to him. Meanwhile he would search the opposite side of the room to see if there were any visible exits that could be taken.

Suddenly the door he had barred shut was broken down. In its place stood Kaito, and he did not look very happy. The Akimichi took one look at the chest and one at Juugou and came to the assumption that he had left them for dead just to make off with treasure. It definitely didn't make the situation any better for the medic in training. "To be honest i had no idea this was in here." began the Aburame, turning slowly to face his fellow countryman. "That being said, you didn't really say much to vouch for me when i first arrived, and that girl out there with the dagger didn't make it any easier by threatening my life. I took your position into account and didn't out you to the royals and incriminated myself." As he spoke, Juugou had the swarm he called forth earlier crawl silently into the room through the doorway and position itself above Kaito. In the event the Akimichi decided to get violent towards him they would be poised to attack and subdue the drunkard. "By the way, there's plenty of whatever is in the chest for the both of us, if you're interested." The whole time Juugou's expression was neutral. It's not like he was trying to make off with the contents of the chest on his own so there was no guilt to be had.

Arina was surprised to find the rest of the lifeless had completely frozen in motion at the finished channeling of the mantra Aka'Parth had been casting. She gripped the wound on her abdomen from where the lifeless had struck her tightly while contemplating her options. While her first instinct was to see the mission through, the young girl realized she was in no condition to continue.

She looked up towards Aka'Parth who was obviously upset and rightly so about the outcome of this entire situation. Giving him a slight nod, she followed behind the holy siblings within the crowd of priests and priestesses into the forgotten tunnels disappearing from the immediate threat of the lifeless.

Arina worried only slightly about the male who had stayed behind for so long to help protect the princess but realistically, he had finally abandoned her too. It was safe to assume that with the tactical retreat from the entourage of the clerical priesthood that the lifeless would shift their focus to those two men left behind. May someone have mercy on their souls because the lifeless would certainly not. The young girl had seen it first hand in the trial room but oh well, it wasn't her problem anymore. She let out a sigh of relief becoming more comfortable as the distance between her and the lifeless grew larger.

Juugou thought about his options of escape, and decided that getting back to higher ground was the best course of action. He was unsure of how he would proceed once he was there, chances were that the situation would be less hectic than it was earlier. With this in mind the genin dashed through the tunnel that would lead him back there.

The six remaining lifeless slowly crept up on him once again, Kaito's tactics would stay the same. As they took a step forward Kaito would take a step back, until once again another lifeless would lung out at him. The lifeless warrior swung his axe from over it's head and sent it crashing down towards Kaito. The upside of wielding such a small weapon over a large weapon was simple; movement was quick and effective. As the axe came plummeting down Kaito dashed to the left of his enemy sticking it the exact same place as the last, as he kicked it back to the ground. "5 more, getting there..." The boy lightly panted now, today was a rough day and he was quickly becoming worn down.
