She nodded at his question. "Yes, he... was my childhood friend. He told me he was going to become a warrior and join the brotherhood, but the proud, strong boy I knew went and got himself killed by nature..." She sighed. At least he didn't die by conspiracy, like I almost did. It was a relief to her, and put her mind at ease for the most part, but something felt... off. She chose not to pursue it, though, for fear that maybe it really was some kind of conspiracy. The fact that the both of them came from the same town, well it made sense.

"I'm... Serana. I used to be a noble in my village but..." She trailed off. Serana wasn't sure if speaking of this in public was the best idea, but she had to tell someone. What if the brotherhood could be her way to overthrow the corrupt? It was a chance she would have to take, for she knew that without the uprising, her people would suffer greatly.

She leaned in and spoke in a low voice. "My parents were allying themselves with those who would abuse their power in the council. They tried to have me and Iska killed by assassin when I spoke against them... I..." Should she continue? Might as well since I'm already this invested in this boy. He could really be my only chance. "I planned to go back to overthrow them, and restore justice to the system and my people, but... I don't exactly have a plan." She gestured to her spear and familiar. "I only have these two. I'm still recovering from the shock of it all. I just... want to make things right, for my people."

The Perzi was out of the pouch now, and Serana hoped it was a good decision and that it wouldn't come back to bite her.

Then he was truly sorry he’d had to give her the news of Trystons demise. Which technically wasn’t his demise but he could not utter a word to it to her. “Indeed…” Was all Rhag’na could answer. It angered him to no end that he knew the truth, but he had to remind himself to stay calm. They would clean out house and they would never see the faces of their treacherous brothers ever again.

“I’m Rhag’na.” He said and bowed his head a bit considering she was of noble birth. It sounded like her family was only noble by name and not by action. He tsk’ed and shook his head, there was so much to do yet in Zena. “I wish I could offer you my aid but I’ve engaged in a mission that may take quite a bit of time to complete.” Perhaps Tryston would want to help his friend once the brotherhood was cleaned. “I will look into it.” He said with a grim smile.

“I must get going now though,” It felt quite importuned to be leaving now but he did have to get back.

"Rhag'na..." She uttered after him. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled at him through sadness. She stood up, gathered her spear, and pet Iska. It occurred to her that he now knew of her lineage and that he would have to keep it a secret. "Please, don't tell anyone you know of me... I know my family hunts me, and I don't want them to catch wind of my whereabouts... Keep this a secret, if you will..."

He would have to know where she was, however, if he were to find her again. "And..." Serana added, "If you happen to have the time to look into it, or should you need to find me for any reason, look to the north for an animal sanctuary. I am staying there for the time being until I can get my bearings..." Another risk she felt like she had to take, but something about Rhag'na made her think that he was a trustworthy person. Perhaps it was because he knew Tryston, and she knew the kind of friends Tryston liked to keep around.

"Oh, one more thing." Might as well ask, right? "Does the brotherhood accept women? I've learned what I know about the spear and riding from Tryston. I only ask because I might consider joining myself..."

Rhag’na also stood up slowly, putting back the chair in place and then leaning on it as she gathered her things. She was asking him to keep her secret, well wasn’t this turning out to be a world full of secrets? He’d never been asked to keep so many in one go. “I won’t tell anyone.” He said with a nod of his head and pushed off the chair. He’d advise Tryston of course, but didn’t think anyone else needed to know he’d met with her.

“If something happens or I hear anything I will send you a letter,” he said. He did feel like he would need to help her at some point, he was here to protect Zena after all and her family didn’t exactly seem like the right type of people for nobles.

Her next question caught him off guard, what did he reply? He could not risk her life if she was accepted. They took in some women but it was rare. He had yet to see one join their ranks as far as he could remember. “It’s not a good time for the brotherhood,” he said in a low voice at first. “It’s not safe.” He did not wish to tell her more, he could not. “Goodbye Serana.” He gave her a nod of his head and a thin lined smile before heading back to camp. He needed to come up with a plan.

Aaaand Done. Ty for the rp c:

With his parting words, she watched Rhag'na walk away as she waved him goodbye. A bad time for the brotherhood, huh? She was convinced that the same thing was happening in the brotherhood as it was with her family. There were very few instances of her being angry, and this fact made her blood boil. She never understood the lure of corruption and the concept of "all for one" but she really didn't care. All she knew is that it made her want to weed out those who would take advantage of the poor as well.

With that, she was as fierce as ever, ready to do good in the world once more. Starting with Ferrah's father. "Come, Iska." She called as she walked from the food stall, "We have much to do..."
