Tasinei
She nodded at his question. "Yes, he... was my childhood friend. He told me he was going to become a warrior and join the brotherhood, but the proud, strong boy I knew went and got himself killed by nature..." She sighed. At least he didn't die by conspiracy, like I almost did. It was a relief to her, and put her mind at ease for the most part, but something felt... off. She chose not to pursue it, though, for fear that maybe it really was some kind of conspiracy. The fact that the both of them came from the same town, well it made sense.
"I'm... Serana. I used to be a noble in my village but..." She trailed off. Serana wasn't sure if speaking of this in public was the best idea, but she had to tell someone. What if the brotherhood could be her way to overthrow the corrupt? It was a chance she would have to take, for she knew that without the uprising, her people would suffer greatly.
She leaned in and spoke in a low voice. "My parents were allying themselves with those who would abuse their power in the council. They tried to have me and Iska killed by assassin when I spoke against them... I..." Should she continue? Might as well since I'm already this invested in this boy. He could really be my only chance. "I planned to go back to overthrow them, and restore justice to the system and my people, but... I don't exactly have a plan." She gestured to her spear and familiar. "I only have these two. I'm still recovering from the shock of it all. I just... want to make things right, for my people."
The Perzi was out of the pouch now, and Serana hoped it was a good decision and that it wouldn't come back to bite her.
