With the sheepish reveal, Pruu chuckled lightly. "I can't blame you for that. It is often a relief for me when my mothers have two other daughters to pay attention to." Especially with a sister like hers... Her look-alike was something special...
Waiting for a partner? She nodded with approval. While she wasn't against single parents, she did prefer the idea of two. When the question came at her, she pursed her lips in thought. "As soon as I am able... would be nice. I wish for a partner to help me raise any daughters as well."

There was a feeling of envy in her that Pruu had that break from being smothered. Akel started to wonder if maybe she should start to drop hints to her mother that she would like a sister or something. "I always wanted to wait a little before I asked Elzira for a daughter."Mostly because she worried about the new tree mother. Akeldama didn't want to overwhelm her with requests. "Have anyone in mind for a partner? My mother has been trying to get me to choose already." It made her curious if maybe Pruu's mothers were doing the same thing.

Pruu nodded a little in understanding; though she was thinking more of waiting for self-prep than for concern for the goddess. When asked about a partner, her brow rose with interest. "Well, no, I have not yet." Brow knitting now, she looked down at her blades. "Not to cross your mother, but I do think you look young enough to have plenty of time to search. Finding a partner is not something I feel should be rushed. There is much to consider, after all. Don't you think?"

The spear in her hands shifted a little, spinning slightly as she eyed the tip. "There is a lot to consider when choosing a partner. I want to wait and see how well I get along with others before committing." Akeldama sighed a little and turned her head to look around at the woods. They were supposed to be hunting after all. "Ciriet wants me to agree to an arranged partnership with the daughter of one of her friends." That was what had been on her mind earlier and though she had agreed to come out and take out her anger on dinner she was still fretting about the choices she had been given. None of them seemed appealing to her in the least. So that meant she was stuck until a solution presented itself.

Pruu continued to scan the forest, seeking out the signs of her prey. An arranged partnership? "Ciriet? Is that your mother?" She pursed her lips and sighed slowly. She didn't want to speak against Akel's mother, but even she wasn't fond of the idea of an arranged partnership. "Well, perhaps the partner your mother wishes you to meet might be a good match for you?" She glanced back at Akel with a small smile. "Perhaps just meet her. You should be forced into partnership upon first meeting, correct?"

Her head gave a bob when asked if Ciriet was her mother. Akel guessed she forgot to mention that earlier. Not that it was all that important. As Pruu told her to just meet the girl and go from there she gave a visible cringe. "Not sure how much talking will happen. The girl is still in her bloom." And that was where Akeldama had the problem. Not only was she not getting a choice but her mother was trying to take away the choice of a girl who had yet to leave Elzira's bosom. She moved her spear to one hand and looked around feeling awkward. "I'd rather my mother just leave me alone about it."

When the big reveal came, Pruu nearly tripped. The prospective partner was still yet in her blossom?! She looked back at Akel, seeing the other's discomfort clearly. "I.. I see," she murmured, pressing her lips. While she was all for growing and strengthening the Elarian race, she didn't like feeling as though she was part of a hand-picked crop... "Perhaps you could speak to the bloom's mother? Surely she will see reason in not promising away an unblossomed youth?"

She had thought about it. Talking to the other mother. Of course she wasn't so sure how well it would be received. Just who's idea had it been to promise the bloom anyway? Akel nodded her head absently at the suggestion. "Thought about it." Then again she could just avoid the subject altogether. Before she could say something else she saw movement to the right and she reached a hand out to tap Pruu gently on the shoulder. With another nod, this one pointing in the direction that she saw the thing moving, Akel tried to show the other Elaria that their prey might just be around the corner. Or in this case around a tree.

Pruu sighed softly. It was truly a tender subject. What is the blossom's mother was the one who had initiated the whole thing? What if the mother had agreed to this with Akel's mother already?
Looking where the other pointed, eyes widening slightly on alert. Was it their target? She crouched down and crept forward, their conversation put to the side for now. When it came to the hunt, Pruu kept her focus where it belonged. "Take the other side," she murmured softly, peeking around the trunk. An aracala...

Cornetified You can start the rolling. XD See if Pruu gets the beastie. With the hunt now in full swing Akeldama gave her attention to it rather than her personal problems. So when she was told to take the other side she nodded and moved as quietly as she could just as she had been taught to do. Holding her spear in her hands she bent low but avoided being in a full crouch. Once she was in position she looked toward Pruu and nodded her head to signal that she was ready whenever the other was. Already she could feel the adrenaline coursing through her and her mind became sharp. This is what she was hoping for as an outlet to her anger.

Pruu crept closer to the tree, silently peeking around it. Yes, it was right there... Gripping her daggers tightly, she swept around the tree to attack. She used one dagger to confuse the creature when it tried scurrying up the tree. When it turned to find another route, Pruu snarled and leapt with her other dagger, digging it right into the head of the aracala. She panted softly, staring at her prize. She'd.. done it!
Looking up, she gasped at the sight of the small colony scurrying through the limbs above. "Above!" she hissed sharply, grabbing at her daggers to free them. Imagine what their sisters would say if they could bring home more than one together! Heras Box Well, that went unexpectedly well...

Roll: 1=Miss, 2,3=Hit, 4=Catch Akel saw the moment Pruu went for her prey and wanted to congratulate her but was more focused on the hiss that seemed to come from her. Instantly the Elaria looked up and when she saw the others moving around she saw a chance to get more than one beast. Holding her spear in her hands she took aim at one of the things as it moved and then launched it. Akeldama gave a grunt as she sent her weapon flying through the air and her eyes never left it. Luckily she hit the one she was aiming at. Sadly, it didn't bring it down so it moved awkwardly through the branches now with her spear stuck in its side. "Just my luck..." She mumbled before she started to look for the quickest way up into the tree after both her weapon and her dinner.

Roll: 1=Miss, 2,3=Hit, 4=Catch She was up the tree and after her spear in a matter of moments. Akel had very little time to see how Pruu was doing, but the sound of blades hitting a shell told her that she was at least going after another of the beasts. When she got to her weapon, as it slowed her prey down considerably, she yanked it out and sent the poor thing flying to the ground. Almost instantly Akeldama was going after another aracaia that had skittered too close to her in it's attempts to flee. She felt the tip of her spear hit the creature and it knocked it off the tree but not too much more than dazed it.

Pruu let out another holler, leaping after her prey when it tried to escape to another branch. One dagger dug into the branch, while the other landed on target and this time broke through the hard shell. The creature squirmed until Pruu sent the second blade through its head. Nearly beside herself with delight, she pulled the body free of her blade and dropped back to the ground, setting her prize next to her first catch. She couldn't wait to tell Kou!
Looking back at her hunting partner, she saw the arancala fall from Akeldama's hit. "You can catch it, Akeldama!" she called out encouragingly, though a little breathless from the excitement.
