Everything that Aluna was telling 'Aulani is something that she is used to already. No matter where and when she dance in her old location, there are always those who may be a little more touchy feeling and ask of their employees to treat their customers like kings, which usually means that someone like her has to be a little more flirtatious. Of course she is already like this when she is around men so its not like the owner is asking 'Aulani something that is entirely impossible to do. Hell, none of what she is saying sounded like so much work or hard at all. The smile she had on her face didn't fade away as she looked at her nephew for a moment, patted him gently on the head, then turned back to Aluna and said to her,

"My precious keiki means the world to me. I need this job so I can make sure he has his favorite cereal in the cabinet and I never have to worry when his next meal will be as we ride the waves until the sunset. I an tease, dance, have all your men liquored up and feeling good about themselves. All that you ask, I will do, so long as it means that I can feed this one's mouth."
Kaiten wasn't really paying attention to the conversation going on next to him. Especially while he had ice cream to focus on. Nonetheless he couldn't help but pick up a thing or two, he wasn't deaf after all, not that it really made much sense to him what they were talking about. He knew what dancing was, but the rest sounded a little weird. The boy giggled a bit when 'Aulani petted his head and he smiled up to her, but he was soon back on his ice cream until he had finished it. Though what she said confused him a bit. Even he knew that all his aunt needed to do to buy him anything was to call his father and he looked at her as she spoke with the lady that had brought him ice cream, though he didn't speak. His father was a businessman after all and had told him plenty not to talk through conversations whenever it happened back home. Besides that he didn't really dare to speak up around strangers much lately anyway. And he still just met the other woman.
Aluna grinned. She liked this woman. The bar owner leaned back in her seat a bit before leaning forward as if giving some sign of approval to 'Aulani's answer. As she moved forward the dancer's eyes looked into the other dancers. "That being said then, if you feel uncomfortable with someones touch then you need to tell me. Placing a hand on the hip is fine, but anywhere sexual is not. You are not sex objects, you're eye-candy. If I find you having sex with any client without my permission. I will fire you."
Aluna left a little wiggle room with her words. If 'Aulani happened to fancy a client then what was Aluna going to do, but she wanted some control over her establishment at the same time. She didn't need anyone abusing her girls. She didn't even like them to go off by themselves when they had a show late at night. She personally made sure everyone got home safe.
"Now that you've proven you have what it takes I want you to jump on that stage and give me a small show. From there I'm going to show you some moves and I want to see how fast you can remember them." The woman continued.
Aluna got up from the table and pushed her chair back in when she heard a ding. The food for her customer was done. "I'll be back. Do some stretches." She responded to the nose and turned on her heel to get the food. She was gone for a couple of minutes, but when she came back she went right over to Leilani and served her. "Please enjoy the meal." She said in her polite hostess voice before turning to 'Aulani on the stage to watch and see what she could do.

"Mahalo!" Leilani squealed with delight as she got her food. Loco moco! It was her absolute favorite! Quickly she put her gead off to the side and dug in. Blue moon had the best food after her mom.

It seems like the bar owner Aluna is catching on to 'Aulani's dedication to put food on the table for her nephew that she will even do work that she doesn't like doing, in this case food service since it meant that she had to move around so much in a way that isn't dancing, which meant that she has a good chance of getting the job. Of course the owner informed her that she should come to Aluna should any unwarranted touching happen and that termination of employment is guaranteed if she were to take one of her clients straight to the bedroom without granted permission. To be honest these rules seemed a bit lenient for both customers and employees, although she can't help feeling this mother-like tone coming off of Aluna. All that is left for 'Aulani to get that job is show off her skills, something that she has no issues with. She may have to tone it down just a little bit considering she doesn't want her nephew to see his aunt in a highly provocative manner. As Aluna left, 'Aulani can smell the distinct smell of loco moco. She already had a lesser version of the one she is smelling right now but may spoil herself a little bit and have some later for dinner. She got up from her chair and began to do some stretches to warm up her body. After she finished stretching, she gave her nephew a brief hug before saying to him,

"Your makuahine will be back soon keiki. I just need to do a little show. If you need to move up closer to the stage to feel more comfortable, then go right ahead."
'Aulani removed her shoes before walking up to the stage and stood still for a moment with her eyes shut. She needed to imagine the music assisting her as she entranced the crowd with her dance since she didn't see any musicians ready to accompany her. Of course she could've just missed them and they could end up playing music the moment they see this new girl dancing on stage. This certainly brings back memories of her being trained as a dancer and taking to the stage all those nights at her last job. As soon as her mind and body relaxed, she wasted no time showing off her skills to all who were watching.
The boy watched as the owner walked away on the sound of a bell. He followed her with his eyes till she disappeared through a door and tilted his head. It was the first time he saw someone react to a bell. When 'Aulani hugged him though he looked back and smiled giving her a tight hug back. "Good luck." he said. Kai wasn't very sure what was to happen, but he knew that was what you said to people when they were about to be tested and that was what it sounded like.
At first he stayed where he was, but it didn't take long before the boy indeed moved to the stage. He was just not comfortable with so many faces he didn't know and he climbed on the corner of the stage and sat down. He was watching his aunt as she danced, for him it was the first time he saw as such. Kai had seen performances before but none like this. He was playing with his small necklace a bit before he ended up putting it in his mouth as he did at times when he wasn't paying attention to what he did. The dance itself meant little to the boy, but he did enjoy seeing his aunt on stage and smiled a bit.
Aluna walked towards the stage as she watched 'Aulani. She wanted to start at a distance. She wanted to see what some of the people would see. Once she was satisfied she moved closer and closer, side too side seeing what the other woman looked like on stage. A smile graced Aluna's face.
"Well I now know what you look like on stage and what style you clearly know. Traditional Roatoa dance is used as opening acts on days when there is a high tourist volume. we of course do other dances to the satisfaction of our customers. I'll now teach you another dance and dance style." The woman responded as she started to climb the stairs to the stage.
A total of five steps later and she was on the stage. She looked at 'Aulani and then glanced away from her and looked out to the nearly empty room. She leaned over and pulled up a hidden control panel. She installed it for when she needed to be on stage with the girls. She always had what she needed and with a few clicks of some buttons, she had the music going.
Aluna started her own movement. She hoped that 'Aulani was watching and learning. She would be doing these same moves in just a bit and if she did them well enough, the girl would be hired. If not she would start at the bottom of the totem pole. When the music finished she turned back to 'Aulani. She wasn't expecting the girl to get it all at once, but more test for what she could do and if she could remember pieces that other choreographed.

Despite the small audience that 'Aulani had as she danced on stage, she still had a lot of fun and can feel the few eyes that were there looking at her as performed her tantalizing dance. In a town like this, her style dance may be familiar to some while for others it could be something new. The dance she did may have been short and sweet but she didn't want to do anything that might be too much for Jiron's eyes to comprehend or at the very least, didn't want to show something super provocative in front of him. There is no way she ever wants to end up in a phone conversation with his father and have to explain why he has seen her dance so suggestively nor discuss her behavior around men. Hopefully this will be acceptable for Aluna and she will immediately have that dancer's job. Seeing that woman get on stage and smile indicated satisfaction to 'Aulani but words matter most in this situation so she has to wait and see what she has to say. So far it isn't a yes or no on whether she got the dancer job or not, but Aluna did acknowledge that 'Aulani has talent. That is a good start so far. For now, the owner wanted to teach her another dance with a different style. This ought to be interesting. She watched closely at the way Aluna moved and listened carefully to the music that is being played. She is moving slower than 'Aulani did in her dance earlier, but there is still something mesmerizing about having to pay close attention to her. Clearly this is the kind of dance meant to captivate the audience by appreciating every single move she made rather than simply being in awe of the speed 'Aulani demonstrated. Once the dance was over, she tried to imitate that same dance. For the most part she was successful but her own style of dancing sometimes got in the way due to muscle memory. The most important thing she kept consistent was not to stumble or start over despite the little mistakes she made. After all, the worse sin a dancer can make is totally falling apart with the rhythm. When she finished imitating the dance the best she could, she said to Aluna,

Leilani looked up at the young boy that was all alone. She put her food to the side and called over to him."Little Braddah! Do you like cameras?" She asked as she waved him over.
((Or his attention could be diverted LOL I was afraid angel and Yami were waiting for my post for them.))
Kai was still looking at his aunt when a sudden call came from the other side. He wasn't in Roatoa long enough yet to understand all the words but as he looked at where the voice came from he did see that someone was particularly talking to him. He was the only 'little' person here for what he could see and she waved him over. Kai looked at his aunt one more time before he slid himself off the stage and walked to the lady that had gestured for him. When he reached her he nodded his head on her question. "Yes.." he said softly, which caused the necklace to drop to hang from his neck once more. He looked away for a moment before he rubbed his cheek and gave the lady a small smile when he looked back. "I like them." he added.
Aluna had jumped off the stage to again watch 'Aulani as she danced this dance. She moved back and forth, closer and further to see all the views that she could. She was looking more on 'Aulani's ability to do what she said then what she made up. Improv was a part of dance. Once 'Aulani was done Aluna came back up to the stage.
"Very good." The woman started. She was not going to lie. "I'm interested in you as a worker. You may be able to have a few solos every so often until you've mastered some other dances, but for the most part you'll probably be a waitress at first." Aluna responded. She kind of like 'Aulani. She had reasons to keep a clear head, though she she was young and she already skills.

The dance is over but judgement awaits 'Aulani. What does Aluna think of her? Will 'Aulani be able to dance right away or will she be doing work that she doesn't want to do? The tone of voice Aluna had made 'Aulani feel hopeful only to feel a slight disappointment after hearing the final verdict. Despite the compliments she received from the owner, she was told that she like to have her as a worker with perhaps a few solo dances until she has mastered other dances that the owner wants her to master. That means she will have no choice but to work as a waitress or whatever else she needs her to be, but this job will help her keep food on the table for Jiron and herself. She had to think optimistically about this in order to keep a smile on her face. The last thing she needs for Aluna to see is the disappointment that 'Aulani is feeling. First she got off the stage since there was no need for her to be there anymore and it would be rude of her to talk to someone from above unless it was during a performance or the aftermath of a performance with a full crowd. Then she said to Aluna,

She smiled and pointed to the scattered parts."This is my ultra special blogging camera. Saved up lots of money to get this. I use it to help me with my blogging. I run a blog about Roatoa to help me start in travel writing. But I can't seem to get the right lens I want. Want to help?" Leilani asked. She knew he was probably brand new and needed help breaking from his shell.
When she pointed to the parts, Kai followed her gesture to them as he listened to her. "What is a bl..blogging?" was his first question repeating that new word when she finished as he tilted his head. He had never heard it before nor did he know what a lens was. To him a camera was a camera, in one piece and he hadn't really spent time on a computer before. He nodded nonetheless though as she asked if he wanted to help and smiled a bit. Kai did like to help others. "I will help" he added perhaps completely unnecessary. That said he didn't really know what to look for.
