"Corvus and I went to school together when we were younger-- Before we both wound up enrolled in private schools. Arsinoe and I were friends after that." Different times, different people. They had all grown up and changed since then, some of their changes more drastic than others. Something about what the cat said brought a smile to his face and he nodded at the memory they brought back. "He talks to himself when he thinks no one is listening. He's not used to having people around who are willing to listen... It makes it harder to talk about important things, though."

"He knows i'm listening now though so I think he's gotten a bit better at talking to someone." He didn't want to mention that Lucien had probably been talking to his fish before that. He did like the beta though, it was pretty and as long as he didn't tease it Lucien was okay with him watching it swim around. "Maybe he's gotten better at talking about important things? He said he went away for a while and he's grown up more since then."

"That's good. Really good, actually." He nodded as he brought one of his hands up, lightly scratching behind the cat's ear again. "There are some things that you have to talk about or they just tear you apart inside. It can lead to bad decisions-- Or maybe not bad decisions, but ones that aren't entirely in your best interests." Like joining the Negaverse. Most of the past five years were a blur to the Cosmos knight, but he could remember emotions. Many of them had run together into something that he could only describe as destructive and frantic. Whatever it was, he'd been able to put it behind him and that was a relief. He was in a much better place now, both as Arin and as Mag Mell.

"Arsinoe would rather let some of the things tear him up I think." He didn't really like that but he couldn't' exactly force him to talk either. "He doesn't have anyone but Corvus to talk to and I don't think he feels like he can tell her everything." He knew Lucien needed friends but also knew he wasn't very good at making them either. He spent more time complaining about people than talking about what he liked about them.

"That is because Sailor Corvus is a worry wort." The Knight smirked, giving the cat another light scratch behind the ear before his hand fell back down to his side. "As his cat that gives you an important, job, you know. It means that you have to listen and you have to guide him. Maybe you showed up right when he needs a Guardian the most." One of the things that he could recall was the feeling that Luc hadn't needed him as a friend as much as he'd needed him. He couldn't recall what had made him feel that so strongly and assumed it had something to do with the way Chaos had infected him. "Does anything about this area look familiar, Sumi?"

"From the others I've met he isn't the only one who needs a guardian but I like being with him. I know I'm supposed to be." he wasn't sure why he knew that but he did. Hearing that Arsinoe might need him just as much was good though since sometimes he felt like he was just being a burden to the senshi. "I try. I just ... not very good at this whole guardian thing. I can't even protect him. He's protecting me most of the time." At Mag Mell's question he looked around. "Um ... oh! yes. That coffee shop. That's the one he likes to go to in the morning so it's a couple blocks ... um ..." "Two blocks south and take a left for the sixth time." Arsinoe had been heading back home after his meeting and had spotted Sumi on his radar. He'd thought the kitten would stay in the apartment but something must have made him come out. He hadn't expected to find him in the company of a knight though. "I hope he wasn't a problem ....?"

"You'll get there. Guardian Cats wouldn't have the word 'guardian' worked into their title if it wasn't a thing... And not everyone is perfect right from the start. Sometimes---" He had started to continue with their conversation as the cat looked around, cut short by the sudden excitement in the feline's voice. He might have continued on even after that had it not been for the addition of another voice. The senshi who had spoken looked familiar in the same way that Sailor Corvus had looked familiar the first time he'd seen Cordelia Carden power up. There were enough similarities that his brain wanted to make a conscious connection, but it wasn't possible thanks to the magics that guarded their civilian identities unless they exposed themselves. That he sternly spoke to the cat only confirmed it. "No problem at all. I was just trying to help him find his way. It's my understanding the stars are supposed to aide with that... Mag Mell, Knight of Cosmos." Instead of offering his hand he reached up to gently pluck the cat from his shoulder, holding him gently out to Arsinoe. "I believe this one belongs to you."

'Arsinoe!" Sumi squeaked in surprise and happiness as he heard his senshi's voice. At least if Arsinoe found them then neither of them had to get lost again looking for home so that was a major relief. "I wasn't completely lost this time. I got back to here. Mag Mell was trying to find you, or Corvus so she could find you." "I swear you can get lost in the bathroom." While he did sound a bit annoyed there was a touch of fondness as he took Sumi from Mag Mell's hold. He set the kitten on his shoulder where Sumi curled around his neck, purring. "You did do better though." He scratched the kitten's ear before looking at Mag Mell. "You were looking for Corvus as well?" If the knight was looking for his cousin that meant he knew her. Which probably meant he should know who the knight ... "Oh! She's mentioned that name before and i really should remember why." His face scrunched slightly as he tried to remember what Cordy had said. Sumi nudged the senshi gently. "You should invite him for tea." He whispered.

"The idea was to look for her only if I couldn't help your fluffy friend here find you. I have her cell phone number, but signet rings aren't exactly useful for accessing aps or dialing out." The knight's smirk was warm and familiar-- That much about him hadn't changed, even if his outfit had since dinner several days prior. "She gave me a few names at one point of other people on this side of the playing field that I could trust if I were ever in a bind. Maybe my name came up for the same reasons?" His brow lofted as he shifted on his feet, pretending that he didn't catch the cat's whispered words himself. "Now that I've reconnected you with your cat, though..."

"I've had to get quite good at finding him when I go out. He seems to always get himself into trouble somehow." Not really a good thing but at least Sumi was trying to help rather than just hiding like the other Mauvians he'd heard of. "I think all the cute is a magnet for it." It was tempting to ignore Sumi, pretend like he hadn't heard, but Corvus had said Mag Mell was familiar face. She wouldn't have told him that without good reason and something about the Knight was poking at his mind. He knew the magic was responsible but if he was sparking something then it was probably something he should listen to. "I should thank you for that and ... if I know Corvus there's a reason she told me your name and told you about me. If you want to come with me I can probably get us both warmed up."

"I believe it's her way of passing on the fact that she feels personally responsible for making sure that nothing happens to me. Unlike Sumi, however, I've managed to avoid being a magnet for trouble so far." It was inevitable that the good fortune would wear off at some point. The medals he wore on his chest were likely to attract some attention as word made its way around. He intended to bank on it-- It was why he'd handed them off to Corvus the night Castor had purified him to begin with, he was certain. Having just recently spent an evening in the company of an overly suggestive senshi, Arsinoe's offer caught him off guard as his mind went straight down into the gutter running beneath the streets. "You don't need to thank me for helping him find his way back. What kind of a** would I be to leave someone lost?"

"The usual sort who wanders around here?" He didn't have much faith in people actually helping each other. Sumi might have been an exception since he was a cute kitten but that didn't change his opinion. "Corvus takes a lot of things personally. It's not always a good trait." It had gotten her hurt often enough that he hoped she'd learn from it eventually. "If you'd rather go home that's fine. I can just have tea with Sumi and ask him what he found out about you instead of asking you personally." Not that he really thought Sumi would give away any secrets but if Mag Mell didn't want to come he couldn't force him.

"Actually, Sumi was doing more of the talking than I was." A smirk lit the Cosmos knight's face as he fiddled with his bracers only to drop his hands back down to her sides. "She does-- And has since we were teens. First one to grow up and feel like she had to be responsible for everything, but you'd know that better than I would. Her heart's in the right place, though, and having met Denebola, Celsus and now you? I think she can take a little bit of that responsibility."

"I'm older than her so I technically grew up first." He'd just done it a lot earlier than anyone else thanks to the fate of his parents. The words hit home though and that sparked the memory that Cordelia had told him. That's why Mag Mell was familiar. "Heart being in the right place has gotten it broken a few times you know." He motioned for the Knight to follow him as he headed down the street. There was a nice little alley a bit down the street where he could power down without anyone seeing. "I'm tired of being out in the cold for tonight. Ar eyou coming or not?"

"So first one between she and I to grow up." He laughed softly as he followed after Arsinoe. He was the youngest out of the three of them. "Corvus has good people looking out for her heart now. I've had the pleasure of spending time with the two she's closest to-- They're good people, both in uniform and out." Denebola was, at least. Celsus he was taking an educated assumption on as he hadn't spent any time with the Chronos knight out of uniform.
