Gothita only had a tiny purse, but she clung to it like it was her life. She gently put it down in front of Pearl then scrambled onto the bus.
Peter, who was striding behind Gothita, tossed his bags onto the growing pile.
"Thanks, babe!" he called, getting onto the bus.
Pearl's eyes were huge with annoyance as person after person gave her their luggage. She kept opening her mouth to say she was not going to do it for them, but they kept getting on the bus too quickly. She didn't even hear Lapis speak to her.

Grrwin was quite proud of himself. He was going to do something on his own without Flaire for once! That would show him and Kellach that he could be his own griffon! Carrying his bags in his beak, he stalked over to where the bus was. When he saw the growing pile, he assumed that that's where he should place his stuff, so he did. He gave Pearl a friendly smile before climbing onto the bus and promptly getting his rump stuck in the door.
Pinkie Pie was walking with Melody. They were both excited for the festival, and Melody felt a little special, because she had actually been to one before. She had made sure to pack a tent, just in case, but she was not looking forward to trying to fit it in the bus.
Therefor, she was very pleased when it appeared Pearl would do it for her.
"Oh good!" Melody sighed, "I was afraid I was going to have to get this tent in the bus myself!" She placed the bag on the pile, which was slowly burying Charlie. "Thanks!"
Then she and Pinkie Pie walked over to the bus, shoved Grrwin's rump in, and climbed aboard.
Pearl's eye twitched.

Brook approached the bus and saw everyone unloading their stuff onto Pearl. Such an injustice!
"Now what's a beautiful woman like yourself doing towing everyone's luggage around like this?" he asked her. "What a crime it would be if a gentleman such as myself didn't offer my services to you! Please, allow me to put away all of this luggage, my lady."

Foxy continued to stand there through all of this, his mouth open and his eyes starting to drift in two different directions. He had asked Pearl a question, and he was not going to move (nor was he going to repeat the question) until she answered him. Or until the bus started to leave. Which ever came first.

Night Witch the Third Mizu and Reeah approached the bus together, talking in low voices. As soon as they reached the others, Mizu climbed silently onto the bus while Reeah noticed Charlie and Pearl. "Awesome," she said when she heard what Charlie said. "I don't have to drive or put my own luggage in the compartments!" She dropped her two suitcases in front of Pearl with a thud. "Thanks, hun," she said and climbing onto the bus before Pearl could reply. "Hello, Kaji, how are you?" Mizu asked her friend, sitting down next to him.

Charlie, who was still buried under his, and everyone else's stuff, with only his nose sticking out, tried to struggle out from under the pile.
Grunting and scratching at the ground, he pulled himself out.
"I was having trouble breathing under there," he muttered. He flopped down onto the ground, taking in deep breaths.

Amethyst casually strode up and slapped Pearl on the back.
"Yo, P! We haven't even left yet, and you look exhausted!" She walked over to Steven and Lapis and put an arm on Steven's shoulder.
"Sup, Steven?" she greeted.

"Thank you," she said, "I don't know why everyone suddenly decided that I was their butler today."Brook would have given her a winning smile if he had a way of giving Pearl a winning smile, so instead he just started attempting to haul everyone's bags into the bus. It was a lot harder than it looked. It didn't help that he had no muscles to aid him in his task, but he was determined not to complain. "Anything for you, my lady," Brook huffed, slowly dragging the first huge suitcase over to the compartment. "It's...no trouble... at all..."

Jack was excited about the festival. He had been to one before, but now he was going with a lot of new people, and he was glad some of the ghosts were going.
He was very confused when he saw the scene in front of the bus. Brook appeared to be struggling with the luggage, despite his bravado.
"Um, I'll just take my stuff onto the bus," he muttered to no one in particular.

When finally all the luggage was crammed into the storage compartment, and everyone was in the bus, Pearl let out a sigh of relief. She got on and looked back over the seats, making sure Steven was actually sitting down. (She didn't really care if anyone else was standing. And she knew Amethyst wouldn't listen to her.)
She sat down at the driver's seat and fired up the engine. It was time to hit the road!

Charlie scrambled onto one of the seats and was just trying to figure out how to put his seat belt on when the bus roared to life. As soon as it started moving, he fell off.
Grumbling, he climbed back on and laid down, grasping one end of the belt with his teeth, while trying to secure the other end with his toes.
It was not easy.

Harmony passed Charlie, making sure to buckle him in before sitting down next to him.
"I've never been to one of these things before," she told him. "So what are we supposed to do when we get there?"
