“Ten!” The word burst from Elvira and she laughed excitedly. “Any...any specific kinds or can I surprise you? Oh let me surprise you! I’ll make them all good, I promise!” She was already making some lists in her head, clearly he needed the best cookies...and she would make him a great gift basket full of them, complete with bows and ribbons and glitter...all of the glitter.
“I need to know your favorite color, Alya! I need to know it for the present I’m gonna get for you! And you’re not allergic to peanut butter or anything are you?”
She had such a serious expression on her face at that, she didn’t want him to die because of her. “What about coconut, do you like coconut? I have to knoooooow!” He was so great, just like her brother, and she loved her brother more than anything in the whole world.
“When should we hang out again so I can give these things to you? Oh! How about you come to my brother’s bakery shop? I can give you your cookies then!” Elvira laughed at the idea of giving someone a big basket of girl scout cookies in the middle of a bakery, but what was she going to do? She was Arias’s biggest competition this time of the year, but he didn’t mind much. Or at least she hoped he didn’t.

"I like surprises," Alya said, winking. "I'm not allergic to anything--or, at least, nothing I've ever tried. Peanut butter, coconut--they're all fine with me."
Truthfully, he tried to restrict himself from sweets, and being in a bakery just sounded dangerous.
...But, he knew where the bakery was; he'd dropped her off there before, after they'd first met.
"My favorite color is red. I mean, a lot of other colors look the same to me," he confessed, tucking his hair behind his ear as if he were telling her something almost secretive. "But red always looks good, I always get that one right. I always wear it, I'm so happy that my outfit is red. Besides, I think it looks best on me. Oh--uhm," he had to pause for a minute to wrack his brain for his schedule. "Are you free on Tuesday? I'm open from four to six. Or almost all day Wednesday, if that's better? I can do later, but I don't know when his bakery closes--or if that's weird or inconvenient for you. But I can try to move things around if I need to."

Elvira nodded enthusiastically and grinned. “I’m homeschooled, so I’m free pretty much all the time! I’ll be there Tuesday and Wednesday, so just stop by whenever you get a chance to! My name’s Carlee when I’m not Elvira, so just look for...you know. Me.”
She listened as he talked about not being able to see colors well and blinked. “So...you’re colorblind? That must be strange...I mean, I can’t really imagine it, because I’m not colorblind, but...I get it! My parents are deaf, so people think that it must be strange to them, but that’s just life. You don’t know any difference, so you don’t know if you’re missing out on anything, and you don’t know how other people feel who can see in color!”
She looked down at her own red outfit and laughed. “At least you can see my outfit’s color, so that’s good! I think your outfit is super nice too though, Red and gold look so well together.”
Elvira sighed. “I should be getting home though, my parents will worry if I don’t show up to kiss them goodnight...but I’ll see you on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it’s not a long goodbye!”
The senshi gave him one last hug and grinned. “I’m really glad I got to meet you, even if I did end up almost dying...it was worth it.”

Once more, Alya smiled. "You go home, be safe. Thank you for coming out with me tonight. I'll see you on Tuesday--you'll know it's me, partly because I walked you home after we powered down, and partly because I wear a lot of red. I'll come find you though, Carlee."
He didn't dwell on his vision, partly because he didn't want to talk about it, but mostly because he didn't know how to talk about it. It wasn't that he was embarrassed of it, just...
...That people knowing made him feel a little uncomfortable and inferior and he was filled with a strange anxiety about how they might use it against him and make him feel ashamed for his imperfections.
But, no, definitely not embarrassed.
"Have a good night!"
