Surtr smirked at her jest such a feisty one she was. "I'm just lucky you'd never use something like that... else I'd lose every time we sparred." Surtr tease returning the jest back to her. As she commented he grasped his flaggon and took a deep drink from it the sweet liquid warming him to his core. "I'd say more of immunity... unless you have something to share..." Surtr teased slyly a very devilish smirk across his lips. He had just insinuated something he thought may get under Androks skin a bit a slight misstep on his part but with all the drinking and the scuffle it had loosened the crow up a bit.

"For travel I've procured a growing potion that will allow my companion to take us both... As for your compensation that is up to you.... I doubt this venture will be trivial and you'll likely have to fend off foe while keeping me on point..... not easy task" Surtr said with a chuckle openly admitting he would likely have difficult with this fight. Though his insatiable curiosity made it so this treasure once discovered couldn't be ignored. He ran a hand through his ebony hair ruffling it a bit as he went to keep it messy and yet somehow orderly.

As she spoke of her passions Surtr chuckled. "Few things I'd go to war over... though I'll agree with you on the wine.... there's another word that starts with W that I have in mind as well." Surtr said chuckling softly as he took another drink finishing his flaggon of mead and turning it upside down to signify he would have no more. Surtr was no stranger to his vices he knew alcohol, women, and knowledge were his weak points and he had asked Androk along because she would cover those weaknesses nicely.

Androk rolled her eyes at a few of his words, her previous clearly not adequate enough to stave off his need for verbal jousting. "You'd enjoy it somehow. I just know it." she claimed before placing her hands slowly around the bottle, eyes now focused on the swirling liquid inside. The comment on immunity gave her a small moment to let her eyes once more glare towards him. "Yes Surtr. I have secret ways of dealing with Sirens. You just gotta sleep with all of them." she stated as an exhale began to escape. "Elves are naturally resistant to charming ways. However it doesn't mean much when you're filled with rage." she claimed before taking another slow drink of the wine.

"Sounds like a pretty reasonable form of transportation to me. Beats walking." she mumbled before shrugging her shoulders a little. "Figure it out for me. Don't really have much in terms of wants lately." she mentioned with her eyes scanning Surtr a moment. "..so like any other time in the past I've had to ensure your safety? Least we both know we are off to a typical adventure." she stated with a hint of that teasing in her words. She wouldn't admit or even remotely show it but the thought of getting some time with what she'd consider a friend was something she had little of. The king and Royal family came first in all cases.

"Justify women and the pursuit of it all you like. Or wealth. Hell all three come with fame and glory." she claimed taking another swig of the wine before resting the empty bottle aside and leaning back in her chair. "...either way you better not be pulling my leg for this little excursion. You'll feel my rage if I round a corner and there's a blanket beside a waterfall at sunset. I mean it. I'll kill you. Slowly." she stated with a firm glare and a hand tightly grasping the bottle. If there was one thing she hated it was losing. The second thing she hated was being duped into useless time not spent doing something worthwhile. But Surtr was smart enough to avoid such a cliche. He'd at least had her battle a beast to the death beside such a scene before letting her rest there.

"I suppose this means you've got my word to assist. If you manage to acquire my services from the kingdom. Good luck on that Crow." she said in a calm manner, pushing away from the table and giving her a firm slap on his shoulder as she passed him, her legs taking her across the hall to her Elf she'd been assigned to observe. Seems the hours grew late and their little game roused a few feathers...

Surtr chuckled softly at her remark. "It would be a very bittersweet moment. The enjoyment of seeing such a sight and the disappointment of knowing I would never be able to court you." Surtr said chuckling softly. The thought in itself was something to unbelievable. A woman able to handle Androk now that would be something! As she jousted him Surtr chuckled casting a playful gaze her way. "Don't tempt me...." He joked enjoying playing the fool sometimes. It was an easy card to play and although it never worked on Androk it likely worked on the rest.

As Androk continued her words Surtr tilted his head. Figure out for her? If there was one woman that was hard to figure it was Androk though he believed he'd be able to find something worth her while. "Very well. I agree to the terms. You help me and I'll find something worth your while." He said with a smirk his mind already swimming with ideas. "If memory serves I believe we're pretty much even when it comes to ensuring the others safety. One of us tends to be a bit ungrateful as well....." Surtr teased casting a playful glance her way. He could remember every time he saved her life. Her rage seemed to boil over each time. As if he was the fool for keeping death was taking her.

As she mentioned a blanket and sunset Surtr began to laugh. "Oh don't you worry. There will be no tricks when I court you.... though I suppose the slow part is probably accurate." Surtr said teasing that he would take his time when it came. The man was sure of himself his confidence bordering on arrogance though thanksfully Surtr knew how to walk the line.

His bird flew down landing on his shoulder promptly just in time for Androk to formally agree. Surtrs eyes lit up with excitement the adventure set in stone. All that remained were trivial formalities. Things that could easily be worked out. As Androk rose and patted him on the shoulder Surtr let out an audible "ooof" as she patted him rather roughly. A staple of Androks contact her strength always being displayed.

As she went to her lord Surtrs came to him and sat down. The chubby teen still
Hunger and with a shake of his head Surtr ordered the boy some food for the two to share as he "listen" to the lord tell of the nights events. His gaze may have been on the one he was assigned to protect but his mind was already planning out the quest he would soon begin.

Androk remained at her escorts side after the brawl, her eyes maintaining a vigilant and stern glare to any unwanted person to approach them. When the meeting finished she gave Surtr a small nod as she always did, never giving a farewell or goodbye. Didn't believe in them and hardly gave it much purchase either. As she left she made her way towards a mage, a flash of energy occurring before her blades were returned to her side. A security measure that had been put into place to ensure nothing too dicey happened while she was around. More so than the display before.

And with that the night ended. Trade established and friendships rekindled. Success in more than a few ways apart from a few bloodied fools that tried to take on some Royal Knights...

Androk let out a deep breath as she leaned firmly into a pillar just outside the meeting chambers for official documents and the like. A safe and secure room for agreements so prying eyes or ears wouldn't catch wind of the discussions. Unfortunately she knew all too well who and what this one was about. A week or two had passed and Surtr came true to his words, to barter for her assistance. He'd been in there for close to twelve hours and by then Androk knew they were likely wrapping up the details. Her armor was adorned, to the extent she preferred as her blades rested on her hips. Arms crossed and the brooding aura endlessly rolling from her frame.

Waiting. More waiting. All so Surtr could bring along someone to take on Sirens and Yggdrasil knows what on this mysterious location for a scroll. Magic was always so fickany and burning to her. That's why she focused on brute force and the tearing of limbs. Can't cast a spell without working limbs after all. Her eyes scanned the halls, ever vigilant even in her own location it seemed. Few guards walked past, their pace quickening and conversations cut short when they noticed her standing at the ready. New guards. Always so awkward...

After several hours of sighing, bartering, whining, and perhaps even a little begging Surtr exited the hall with a smile. "There she is..." He said extending his arms outward large smirk across his lips. He allowed them to fall to his side though deciding rather quickly a hug wouldn't be the best thing to celebrate. "It has been settled. You are to accompany on the journery as we discussed previously." He said in a giddy tone before beginning to move a bit. The two were off. He smiled as they would begin their journey.

Once they exited the chamber Surtr looked to his crow and pulled a small flask from his robes. "Bottoms up..." He said with a smirk. The crow opened its mouth and he poured it down the crow before having drop to the floor. It suddenly grew to an enormous size. Its wingspan growing to 50+ feet and its body large enough to hold both of them with ease. Surtr smirked softly offering Androk to sit first. They'd have to straddle the bird and of course ladies first. It was a rather devilish smile he knew he'd get to sit behind her for a long flight and it would be arguably the closest he'd been to her. He stood waiting for her to get on planning to follow in suit right behind her.

Androk felt the door shift as she turned her head to see Surtr making his way from the meeting chambers, all giddy and seemingly excited. His awkward extension of his hands caused her to raise a brow at him. "...Here I am." she stated as her hands slightly lifted from her hands in a tada like mannor. "Sure seems like it took less than the usual amount of time. Must have made a compelling case for this." she said as she remembered their bet. Must have been another point of leverage than simply besting down townsfolk.

"Shall we then?" she asked as her head motioned to the hallway, exiting the chamber with Surtr. She observes the bird consume the vial and grow in size, her overall disposition still calm as she saw Surtr indicate she go first. "...I'll take that into consideration for the future." she claimed already putting a tally on an invisible board within her mind. Not even to the island and he was seemingly instigating a start to their journey. She reluctantly shifted herself into place atop the back of the bird, her hands padding a few times before grasping a patch of feathers for security.

Her blades shifted at her side before she glanced back to Surtr with a plain expression. "I don't suppose you also wish me to pilot this as well?" she asked, assuming it knew the way unless he had some surprise for her to find it. This was to be an interesting endeavor that much was clear at this point. The idea of being close to another wasn't on her top preferred actions either but this made sense.

As Androk climbed on the crow and situated herself Surtr climbed up behind her in one smooth motion. It was quite obvious he hand done this before by how easily he mounted the crow. He wiggles back and forth situating himself so that he was pressed up against Androk and his arms came around her slowly grasping a patch of feather in front of her. "No I will be piloting this crow... you are in front of me to ensure you don't fall off." He said softly into her ear with a rather playful tone. He was teasing her about something totally unrelated to their close proximity to hopefully comfort and take her mind off of the fact that Surtr was practically cuddling her. It didn't help any that he wore no shirt so eventually his skin would likely be felt or chaffed by her armor. Such a mixed bag this voyage would be.

He smirk as his grip on the bird tightened softly causing it to take off. It wasn't the smoothest launch and Surtr know his bird wouldn't be very good at ensuring stability so he insisted it this way and was pleased Androk could for a moment ignore the urge to hit him while they traveled. "You smell nice..." He teased softly perhaps pushing his luck a bit as they were underway. The two were flying out clear over the ocean well above. The crow would move above and below the cloud line every now and then cleaving through it with ease. If Androk could lighten up she would in all likelihood enjoy the ride, unless of course she got motion sickness in which case this would likely be a hellish journey.

With a few hours the bird began to descend and an island was in sight. Lush greenery coated the island providing wonderful cover for whatever lay upon it. Surtr has the crow dive pretty hard to limit their visibility to the opposition that waited and as he did his right arm would come up over Androks waist hovering a few inches from it. He didn't touch her but the arm was there and if she slipped or started to slide back Surtr would wrap it around wanting to ensure the safety of his Ace regardless of how she felt about physical contact.

The bird would pull up hard come to parallel just a few feet above the water and coming to a stop at the oceans edge. A very jarring and rough few minutes to be sure, but when it landed Surtr let out a very satisfied Ahhhhh, as if he was pleased with the journey. He would hop off the crow and offer his hand for Androk to take he knew she'd likely decline but the man could at least pretend to be gentlemanly when she put up with such a trip.

As the two dismounted in whatever fashion the crow would return to size and a soft melody would begin to play it wasn't a siren, but something else. Surtr although still maintaining his lax disposition was on guard and Androk would surely see that.

Androk felt Surtr position himself, working his way into place so he would be able to ride behind her for the journey. She inhaled and exhaled slowly at he shifted closer against her. "I'm sure that exactly the reason." she claimed, eyes once again locked forward and an irritable expression showing. She knew this journey wouldn't likely take a huge chunk of time from the day otherwise he'd suggest leaving in the morning following. Her grip was tight as the bird quickly ascended, her muscles shifting to slightly exhibit her strength as they rose. His comment regarding her smell caused another small tally mark to etch it's way onto her counter. "Didn't know you were a fan of sweat." she responded before closing her eyes to ignore the moments for a time.

Flight was a mixed bag for Androk. She usually only experienced it when riding a dragon down after killing it in the skies. Save for a few other times in her life she didn't have much experience with it. Gorgeous view for sure but she was hardly sight seeing. Spotting the island she gripped the bird tighter, eyes darting for a moment to a hand that hovered close to her. She didn't slide however, her iron grip proving itself before they came to a halt. She rocked a little with the stop as Surtr climbed off her grip loosening before she pivoted herself to the side, her leg slipping over to allow a small jump from the crows back.

She didn't accept his hand to assist her, but that was partially due to her own two hands firmly resting on the hilts of her blades. She landed and kept low, knees bent and ready to kick off as her head slowly scanned the area. Her jagged ears lifted and shifted with her head as she tried to pinpoint the cause of the music. She slowly rose to a full stance as the bird returned to normal, her eyes glancing to Surtr before she motioned towards the direction of the melody. She didn't speak and had little time to fuss over the journey as she slowly began to step forward, eyes scanning each place slowly. Not a siren but the sounds of it..

As the two exited and the crow took its normal position atop Surtrs shoulder he looked to Androk noting her already on point disposition. He was glad she was taking this so seriously. This island was quite large and from what Surtr had heard it was filled is a myriad of creatures some deadly, some not. As everything became quiet the melody became more clear a soft tune being played from an instrument a flute by the sound of it. "A Satyr?" He inquired softly to Androk the sound being reminiscent of the tune they'd play. Lusty little creatures some even jokes Surtrs father was one due to his own insatiable lust. Though he did have some control over it. The two would creep closer to the forest edge the sounds coming from within. The tropical weather was hot and the air heavy saturated with moisture. Surtr sighed slipping his coat off and folding it in his hands. It would suddenly disappear one of the mages little tricks. He sent it back home and would be without his signature clothing for the rest of the journey.

What remained were pants and shoes both simple enough in design and loose enough to allow free movement but tight enough to avoid getting snagged on nearby branches. His upper body was now revealed rather pale and this feature was accentuated by the contrast of Androk being nearby. Across his shoulder blades and upper back lay a monstrous tattoo of a three eyed raven with its wings spread. On either hip rested 5 or so dagger small and designed for throwing but long enough to be lethal.

As they reached the forest edge Surtr smirked to Androk and began to move through walking softly and turning and twisting with the foliage to avoid disturbing it. The tropical humidity only grew and Surtr had already begun to sweat his thin but muscular frame shimmering in what light could pierce the canopy. After fifty feet or so of travel inward there was a clear and the source of music on the other side. Surtr stopped and crouched down looking to Androk. "We'll need to take this one alive... I need to know where the cave is and this island is far larger than what I was told." Surtr whispered indicating he had actually never been here before. Classic Surtr too not properly scouting out the area before coming. Though in this case he couldn't really scout. He was told sirens, undines, and succubi were on this island all things that without Androk would likely kill Surtr.

He looked to Androk wondering what she would decide as their course of action since she was his immunity it only made sense to give her lead on this. After all if he took point and got captured he know she'd never let him hear the end.

Androk paused a moment as Surtr mentioned what sounded like a Satyr. She paused and glanced to him before letting her senses slowly piece together the melody. Sure enough it was far too organized for a siren to call prey in. No this was something to draw attention without the alluring call. She shifted and moved alongside Surtr as they crept through the dense forest that almost reflected that if a rain forest to how humid it felt. She noticed his sigh and removal of his coat, her expression once more half lidded and eyes forward almost in an annoyed fashion. "...Telling you if I round this corner I swear.." she said in a desire to make herself clear. This had better not be a saytr playing music for an outing.

She kept her attire as is, the small sweat she was starting to accumulate starting to become evident on her black skin tight undersuit. Her hands remained on her hilts as she continued to keep her gaze on task, not taking a moment to see his figure with all the current circumstances. His mentioning of not knowing the island or cave caused her to stop a moment, a flinch in her face showing. "...You don't even know...if this cave exists..." she mumbled as a vein in her forehead suddenly began to surface, the idea of coming to a tropical island in her current attire and battle ready stance easily weighing on top of her.

She crept beside him and inhaled deeply, the slow and drawn out exhale to follow reflecting her current disposition. "If it's a saytr they'll likely attempt a charming spell. If I go in I'll be expecting you to either snatch or destroy his instrument. Then detain him. Then you will have your gui-...wait..." she started before her hand quickly slammed over his mouth as she covered her own, eyes shifting about slowly before she inhaled deeply through her nose. A few more deep inhales and she slowly removed her hands. "...Ogres...or cyclops...more than two..." she said before her hands slowly shifted to her blades again.

She motioned her head towards the blades of the grass before them as she shifted passed him, unintentionally pressing against him before she suddenly darted and shifted into the depths of the woods. Seems she had a plan but he'd have to kick it off. She vanished into the tress with a small jump before leaves slowly fell. Once in position she held her blades firmly, slowly inching from the tops of the trees to gain an upper glance at the scenario.

As she threatened him Surtr rolled his eyes. "I told you, I know you well enough that when I court you you won't be bale to say no." Surtr whispered playfully and insisting that he already had that planned and ready. He could see the sweat beginning to accumulate and Surtr shook his head softly what a stubborn woman she was. He would certainly tease her about this later. As she slammed her hand over his mouth Surtr let out a muffled "MPH" as she caused him to bite his lip. He brought up his right hand and found itself smacking the left a** cheek of Androk giving her a very serious glare to accompany it. She would likely feel the warm blood come from his lips as she caused it.

It quickly disappeared and with it his hand from her. As she pressed against him Surtr let out a hmm as if that wasn't enough to make up for it. Though he'd be sure she'd likely cut him later for spanking her. Still his left hand went up and wiped the blood that hand since begin to pool from his lips. As she went into the trees he could hear the the cyclops beginning to shift they could smell blood in the air and with it their element of surprise was dwindling.

Surtr burst from the brush and immediately threw a dagger by the satyr teleporting to it and swinging his elbow to catch the satyr in the back of its head knocking it out immediately. The 3 Cyclops stood each one well over 10 feet tall and angrily growling at Surtr. It caused him to sigh and huff in frustration. Each on had the trunk of a tree raising it to smash Surtr. He smirked waiting for his compadre to make her move knowing he would follow in suit.

Androk was methodical in her observation, intently keeping and eye on the trio that had this saytr cornered for their own desires. She'd made a mental note on Surtr earlier, vein on the top of her brow still showing as the thoughts of how to repay him played through her head. But that was for another time as a dagger flew, the first strike rang and the target was down. Good. She wasn't too keen on being the one to take the saytr over the cyclops. Her legs bent tightly before she rocketed from her position, body cutting through the trees with her blades making the smooth and signature drawing sound before she connected with the middle target.

Her left blade sunk deeply into the neck of the cyclops, blood quickly flowing from its new escape point as her right arm drew back to sink the other blade directly into the single eye of the creature. A quick roar followed by a massive rumbling thud sounded, her blades drawing back before she spun off the shoulders of the beast, an effortless unhinging of its neck causing the head to slink backwards. She twirled her blades back into their sheaths, eyes flaring a moment before she reached down to grip the tree the deceased had been using to take it for her own.

One of the two remaining took note, roaring like an enraged bull as it swung it's own tree down towards her, quickly doing the same as the two trunks met with a sickening snapping sound. Another swing from Androk and the cyclops met before it charged forward, it's leg sweeping with an unnatural speed to send her flying backwards, arms up to take the brunt of the attack before she rolled and skidded a few feet to a halt. She shook herself a little and grinned ever so slightly, grabbing the tree once again and signaling the brute forward. She missed larger enemies. They always packed a punch. Hopefully Surtr was having as much entertainment with his target as she was...

As Androk attacked the three split two for her one for him. Something he was rather pleased with why would he want the trouble of dealing with two? He leapt backwards allowing his to follow as he smirked watching it lumber after him. "Where is the cave..." he inquired are the cyclops belted back a yelling roar obviously uncaring of what Surtr had asked. With a sigh Surtr watched as the beast raised its club before slamming it into the ground. A sidestep was more than enough to evade these brutes telegraphed their movements far more than they should making a smaller target like Surtr much harder to beat. It raised it's club up again and as it swung Surtr rolled down beneath it drawing his dagger and having to stab it into the heal before ripping out in order to cut the monsters right Achilles' tendon.

It fell to a knee and let out a very angry howl as it did it swung behind it with its free hand grasping Surtr."Where.... is ..... the ... cave" Surtr inquired again between haggard Breathes as the beast began to squeeze the life from him. This time it taunted saying it would never tell. At this response Surtrs anger seemed to flare and he threw the dagger he held teleporting to it and slicing the other Achilles' tendon. The beast fell to the ground wallowing in pain as Surtr stood above it. "Last chance.... you'll probably say she'll kill you if you tell but I will kill you if you don't..." He said with a malicious smirk fire forming in his right hand. Something most Cyclops feared more than anything it began to weep and beg saying it didn't know and to ask the Satyr. Surtr nodded looking over to Androk to see if she had finished hers yet. He wouldn't let this one go until he was sure that the two had a way to get to a cave.

Androk had her little skirmish with the cyclops, trading blows that let her opponent continue fighting but slowly dwindle in their assault. She was playing with her foe. She'd lodged the tree firmly in the shoulder blade of the cyclops while she delivered firm blows all across its torso. Internal bleeding was starting to mount as the cyclops would pause to cough, lurch and attack again. After a good minute if this behavior she visibly grew bored, her body halting in place as the beasts fist swung wide before she caught it with her own the impact sounding deeply through the clearing. "You're weak. And this is tiresome." she claimed before grabbing his wrist to wrench the arm from its socket.

She idly tossed it aside before marching up to its face, a slow and painful barrage of fists caving it's face in until she met the bloodied dirt beneath it. She sighed slightly as she removed herself from the still twitching carcass, shaking the blood from her forearms as she made her way towards Surtr. "You haven't dealt with yours yet? Starting to suspect you payed those patrons to take a dive for you now." she teased slightly with her bloodied appearance and stern neutral face, eyes shifting down to the cyclops who was begging for release. "So. What do we have with this one? I thought the saytr was to be our guide. Unless you intend for me to drag this one by his severed heels. I could remove his arms to keep him more complacent." she offered, hands cracking as she flexed them similar to how she'd done the precious cyclops arm.

She wouldn't admit it but the warmup and overall skirmish had her on the more loose side of things, almost enough to forget what Surtr had done earlier. Almost. She'd repay him in kind for that rather rude gesture when she passed him earlier. Still, the fight was a nice stretch for her after the long ride here. Whatever island here was anyway.

Surtr chuckled softly as Androk teased him. "Come now Androk I can't kill him before I properly motivate our guest." Surtr said with a playful smirk as he walked over and slapped the Surtr awake using the back of his hand to do so. "Come with me." Surtr said softly dragging the satyr to the bloodied Cyclops. "You know where the cave is...." Surtr said placing his palm on the Surtrs chest and leaving a strange mark on the satyr. "That allows me to teleport to you instantly so no running..." Surtr said wagging his finger as he looked to the cyclops now. "If you lead us astray this is what will happen to you...." Surtr said as he plunged his hand into the cyclops chest and fire began to pour out. The Cyclops writhed and screamed in pain for a few moments before perishing.

The cries it let out shook the satyr visibly as it collapsed and began to weep and sob begging for its life. "Shhhhhh..." Surtr said softly kneeling down and turning to the satyr wiping the blood fro the cyclops off on it. "We will not kill you... we are here to kill what lays within the cave. I have heard it is tormenting this island. You need only take us to the entrance and then you may leave. All will be over soon." Surtr sat patting the now blood covered shoulder of the satyr as he got the satyr to comply still shivering with adrenaline and fear.

Surtr rose and sighed as he spat out some more blood from Androk glancing to her with a rather playful grin. "So rough Androk.... a bit of foreshadowing perhaps? he inquired returning her tease with his own. Battle always increased his natural traits making him more of a pain to deal with in Androk case. He would remind her of that spank later.

The merry band of three were off back into the woods heading past a waterfall and lake to make camp before assaulting the cave in the morning. The sun was beginning to set and Surtr knew this quest would take two days. Despite Androk being nice and loose now he would need her at full strength and he knew fighting during the day was better. "The satyr will take us to the waterfall to make camp. Then in the morning we shall finish this little adventure." Surtr said softly to Androk as they continued to travel.
