"Honestly, Ah just kind of stumbled 'cross it when Ah first arrived here at DC."

She wasn't about to volunteer the fact she'd been forced here by her Aunt, nor the fact she used to go to Crystal Academy, only to flunk out a few years back. Those were details she'd offer up once they were more comfortable friends - after all, if she told the girl everything now, there'd be nothin' to tell later on! "There's a couple of places that serve waffles, but none are as cheap and big as the 'ol Waffle House makes 'em."

It didn't take long for their speed-walking to reach the yellow and black building, the square-shaped sign welcoming them from a distance. Mags was kind enough to offer the door for her new friend and dog, ushering them both towards the back booth that she'd had in mind. Thankfully, it remained free - Mags would have hated to have forced some folks to rush through their meal just to let her have the perfect sittin' place for someone's first visit to the WH.

"Hey, Gary!"

The blonde waved towards the waiter at the cash register, who gave a brief bewildered look at the dog entering the restaurant, though the confusion seemed to disappear when he realized it had arrived with none other than Margaret Butler.

"Heyo, Maggie. Want your usual?"

Two fingers stuck up in the air as she gestured towards her friend. "Make it a double?"

"Sure thing, Mags. Comin' right up!"

Satisfied with her unconventional ordering style, she finished guiding the two others into the booth, plopping her denim covered butt into one side of the booth, ignoring the peeling plastic on the booth cover.

"So - Ah prefer good 'ol fashioned maple, but there's also blueberry and strawberry syrup, if ya prefer one of those." Hands motioned towards the syrup sitting by the napkin holder and the laminated advertisement that she happily ignored. "But we'll come to those important decisions later on. Tell me about yerself! If ya don't eat waffles all the time - what do ya like to eat?"

She scrunched her nose up at the mention of sushi. Mags had tried it before, of course - what hadn't Mags had, really - but it just never felt right in her stomach. Maybe it was the knowledge that the chefs never bothered to actually cook the blasted things... maybe it was just the taste of fish, which she never had a fondness too.... or maybe it was just too far off from her normal, Southern tastes that she felt comfortable eating it on a regular basis?

Whatever the case was, she continued to scrunch up her nose at the thought.

"Ah... uh."

Well shoot. She couldn't exactly say that she ate waffles and fought crime as a superhero in tights and frills, could she?

"Ah work a lot, mostly." She finished, leaning back into the booth as she rested her arms across the top of the plastic. "Ah used to be a real sharpshooter, but they don't take too kindly on havin' guns around the city, I reckon."
