A faint red flush was beginning to spread across Hermes' cheeks. He did not appreciate being mocked, nor did he appreciate the insinuation that he had been implicated in some sort of mistaken identity. More so than that, he was not about to comment on the growing sense of realization starting to dawn that he resolutely squashed.
"You have no proof of that," he said flatly, and then, in a more level tone, "Accessible just to read, or accessible to add our own entries?"

The flush caught his attention and he didn't know if Hermes was getting angry at him or embarrassed that whoever told him these things had been lying. "You have no proof of your side either. And I kinda do." He'd seen enough on his homeworld to know they weren't gods. At least he hadn't been a god and he doubted anyone else was either. He didn't even consider Castor on a 'god' level. "Both, eventually? Right now I am mostly just collecting information that can be put into the database but it's not a project I can do entirely on my own."

The flush deepened. Hermes had never heard such a blatantly arrogant statement in direction to himself, other than the ones he had made himself, and those didn't count because they were truths, not arrogance.
"In your opinion," he said.
A beat passed. Hermes cleared his throat, shifting from one foot to the other. "So what exactly do you want people to do? Go to their homeworlds and then come back and enter the data or give it to you, and you enter it?"

"I really want to know who told you all of this. Was it a Mauvian? ... was it one of our Mauvians?" Sumi had told him about the two corrupted cats he'd encountered and he wondered if someone like that had anything to do with Herme's opinions on himself. "As for the database though, yes. Or if someone is willing they can let me tag along and I'll make notes to take back myself. It's kinda arrogant to go around asking to be taken to someone's home though so I tend to reserve that for my friends."

He was not about to dignify that question with an answer. Hermes focused instead on the rest of what Arsinoe was saying, icy blue eyes narrowed slightly as he contemplated the work this would involve. It was an expression more out of thought than anything else, pale blond hair falling about his face.
After a moment, he said, "I suppose if you wish, you could come to my homeworld, though I have yet to be there myself. It would have to be another night, however, not tonight."

He raised a brow, blinking a couple times as the other senshi made the offer. Given how much Hermes seemed to dislike the other things he'd been saying he hadn't expected him to offer to take him along. "Going to a homeworld isn't usually a spontaneous thing so understandable. Even more so when it's your first time going." He should probably suggest that Hermes go out on his own first but the bit of him that just wanted to see everyone's homeworlds won out and he kept his mouth shut on that. "Thank you though. For being willing to help."

He gave a slow nod, somewhat relieved that the topic of his own godliness was something set aside for the time being. Hermes carefully readjusted his own already pristine uniform, flicking away nonexistent dust for something to do with his hands.
"I'll make arrangements, then," he said. "It'll be within the next week or so, if that's all right with you. I don't mind taking someone else, I don't know how to get there myself, so you'll have to guide."

He nodded, a slight smile on his lips. "I can do that. It's not too hard if you can concentrate and have enough will ... and you seem like the sort who has enough determination." Arrogance was probably closer to the truth but that wasn't a fight he was going to get into with a stranger. "When you're ready you can send me a message and I'll make sure I'm available."

He did indeed have a great deal of determination. Hermes gave a slow nod of his head, a stray gust of wind making the flaxen strands of his hair ghost around his high cheekbones. He wasn't so sure he appreciated the earlier insinuations of mistaken identity - but he would set it aside for now in favor of homeworld explorations.
"I will do that, then."
A pause.
"Thank you," said Hermes, a little stiffly, as though he wasn't used to the words (he probably wasn't).

"Just let me know." He nodded and tried not to shake his head. Someone eventually was going to put the look kid in his place and it was going to be a very rude wake up call. The part of him that was a bit vindictive wanted to be around for that. "Ill see you around, most likely" Not wanting to deal with the blond anymore in case he started a fight he figured he best take his leave. He bowed his head slightly to the other senshi again as he took a few steps back and headed off back toward his apartment. kuropeco think we can call it a wrap?
