I don't really want to bother with numbers though. The last guild was great but all that dice rolling and calculations.... I'm just want to see if rp works well without the formats. Everyone here is, to my knowledge, quite literate and sensible. We could create the setting beforehand and start from there?
For instance, we're all part of ANBU and sent on a mission, or we're jonin in different areas and get to meet, the village is under dictatorship and we meet as missing nin in different circumstances,,, etc. I'd think it'd be fun.

Sounds like you're describing a short informal campaign/plot. I would be down for that (to participate anyway). Happy to follow anyone's lead on setting etc. I know it's the d20 system that makes WotN unique, but regardless of that I've missed RPing here.

At this point we could just do a simple ANBU (or genin, etc.) mission to assassinate someone or something lol.

I think so. We can use the guild format for profiles but we won't have to bother too much with the numbers and jutsu count. Just keep it reasonable I guess?
ANBU is fine. I'm finding the missing-nin route potentially fun as well. Loyal to the former (MIA) kage, chased by the current one..
Do you all have any ideas?

We could do something similar to what they did in the Naruto manga later on - like a United Front kind of thing smile I would probably use my Mist ANBU chara, Naru. (genjutsu with a perfume theme)
Maybe something like sneaking into a base in Kumogakure (I feel like it hasn't been active for a lot longer than the other villages ;; correct me if I'm wrong) because Konoha, Kiri, and Oto are worried about its amassing military power?

Don't know how "alive" this guild (or even this website) is now, but while I was recovering from mono last year I had begun working on a new game system to attempt to launch a whole new Naruto RP: https://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewforum.php?f=1537889Don't know how interested anyone's going to be in this, but I was looking it over today out of curiosity and noticed I had gone farther than I remembered! If anyone was interested, maybe we could push this forward to see if it would be fun!
