About then, Jini wished her fur was a bit darker, maybe even red. Bowing her head in thanks, she crawled in, admiring the work. "Wow, this is really nice..." She smiled at him - A genuine smile, at that - and settled down. "So cozy..." She looked around, mind running away. "Heh, a whole family could live in here with room to move..." Her mind went back to the blissful time when she was but a cub. Despite all natural ways, her father had insisted upon staying around. After all... In a litter of boys, he didn't wan't a sissy of a daughter. So he had taken care of them all - Her, her mother, and her brothers. And he'd done so by first making the den much more spacious. The smile remained upon her maw as she settled down, wishing for such blissful times once more.

Topas smiled as she took in his work. The den was big enough for two full grown lions and then some! Topas smiled at it too. The dark colored ratel felt a strange sensation inside, what was it? Was he shy? Was he nervious? Anxious?
"Hey Jini, let's get some rest. We got a day tomorrow to work some more!" he grinned happily, motioning over to two small dips in the far corner. He settled himself into one and curled himself up. "Get some sleep, dea----" he paused. Did he just? "Er.....Jini." he flushed slightly, turned away and closed his violet eyes, hoping that she didn't catch that. "Night..."

Oh, she caught it. But she chose to ignore it, settling into the dip. Her mind thought of what they could do with the den the following day. Perhaps add side passages to it... Yes, that was an idea... And maybe... But she didn't finish the thought as sleep overtook the pale badger. With a soft little snore, she was fast asleep, off in a land of dreams.

The great sun rose up into the pristine sky. Most of the other animals had awoken and ventured out for their morning routines. The lions are grooming their cubs, the antelopes grazing with the wildebeasts. It was just....typical.
Topas stumbled out of his bed, literally, falling onto the floor. The dark ratel gave a yipping yawn and strentched out. He looked around again to his the den he and Jini created the day before.
"I'll be back before she wakes." he just wanted to get a quick drink, return and start the work before Jini could wake up, he's just a guy~

Shifting in her sleeping spot, Jini soon woke up, blinking at the missing male. Looking around, she shrugged, then got up. Getting out of the den, she blinked at the sun, sniffing the air. Water... That was where he'd gone. Another shrug, and she started down the path to where Topas had gone.

Topas stood for a moment behind a large crowd of other animals getting their morning drinks. Hippos that way, rhinos the other, boars here and giraffs there, it was just plain crowded.
"LET ME THROUGH!" he cried out trying to force his way through two rhinos. He pushed and shoved, but the two would not budge. Suddenly the two behemoths quickly moved aside just as he was about to push making him fall into the cold water.
"Whahahaha look at the little pipsqueak!" one laughed "pipsqueak! pipsqueak!" the other joined.
"Ya got sumthin to say? Then say it teh meh face you bloody low lives!" he taunted back. But the two rhinos simple laughed and walked away, leaving the wet Ratel to himself and the other animals watching.

Jini grunted a bit as she watched the show, then waddled over to one of the rhinos. Pausing, in the manner of a male dog, she lifted up one hind leg, letting loose a a torrent upon the animal's leg. With a flick of her little tail, she waddled down to the water when she was done. "Try going around the hole next time. There's plenty of space between the legs of a giraffe." There was a bemused smile on her face, one eye watching him.

Topas seemed to sink into the water as small bubbles came up in front of him.
After getting their drink, the two were walking back to their den. "So how did you know where to find me, Jini? You could've slept a little bit longer, you know." he asked. "Besides I could have taken those two on myself, ya know."

"I followed my nose. I know the lay of the area, so I knew where to look And next time..." She grinned. "Bite 'em on the balls, or somewhere similar. Gets 'em outta the way EVERY time." A laugh escaped, and as they passed the disgruntled rhino, the pale badger gave it a scowl, sending it scurrying. Even the mightiest of animals was loath to face a honey badger, especially a female.

Topas laughed loudedly as the rhinoes fled. But what jini said was....awkward. "I'd rather avoid that that region of the males...." a poisoned look ran acrossed his face as she mentioned it.
"So-what do you think of the den? It's pretty good, huh?" he said confidently. "It's one of my finest work.

This time, Jini laughed. "Of course... A male wouldn't do another male the dishonor of biting him where it hurts." She paused at the entrance to the den, looking at it. "I have to admit, that's really nice. You got a lot of skill, you know that?" A smile made it to her maw. She'd been doing that a lot since meeting the darker ratel... Interesting, very interesting...

The ratel flushed slightly by his female companion's complement. "Th-thanks." he replied, laughing a little.
They walked around and sat in the den just talking with each other. "So what do you want to do now, Jini? The suns still out and there are more animals to soil~" he asked, very childishly.
