Arseno thought he had been ready for what she would do, however he didn't think about her doing a leg sweep and even though he tried to dodge it by jumping, he unfortunately tripped himself up a bit and was knocked down with the leg sweep, grunting out when he hit the ground.
He rolled away a little though so that he could try and get up safely in case she decided not to take a break away from attacking.

She watched him as he pulled himself away from her, staying crouched low to the ground for the moment as though she were stalking him and waiting to pounce (which wasn't entirely untrue). Tourmaline shifted as he did, waiting until Arsenopyrite had pulled himself up before taking a swing at him with a gloved fist.

Arseno stopped rolling, but he looked around quickly to see if it was safe and readied his weapon in case his opponent decided to attack him on the ground.
He would teleport, but he hadn't really ever done that as of yet.

Tourmaline took a step closer to him, although she didn't seem as if she was going to spring just yet. "It looked like you hesitated for a moment... Just a second while you were glancing around, but... What were you thinking of doing right then and there? Why didn't you just do it?"

He understood what she was saying, however so far he hadn't ever really felt an advantage over an opponent. He supposed that at some point he might be able to get the jump on them and be able to strike then, but he wasn't so sure about after that. He felt a bit annoyed at saying what he did was hesitating. He hadn't really considered it as "hesitating". "I was looking around to see if it was safe. I don't really have the fighting experience to just go and jump in a random direction assuming it's safe yet." He really shouldn't be getting annoyed with whom was essentially his trainer, but he was irritated that they somehow expected him to be some fighting expert, when the case was when he was recruited was that he had never been in a fight before.

"You're a captain now, Captain. Surely you've fought with senshi to get yourself this far, haven't you? What about knights? They aren't going to give you a chance to look around and see if you're safe. They're going to keep on attacking." Green eyes narrowed as she stared at him, wondering if she could somehow get him to channel that annoyance she could hear in his voice into something that he could use against her. "What do you consider your strengths, sir? What advantages do you have at your disposal that a senshi won't have? How could you get the element of surprise?"

He hadn't really thought about that, but then again, none of the senshi or knights that he had fought so far seemed to really be into fighting. The only one he had fought that had seemed to really want to fight him was the chibi senshi he had gone up against. That hadn't been fun.
"I... really don't know what strengths there are other than teleporting and the enhanced physical attributes we have." He certainly didn't have any strengths in his own fighting techniques. It was annoying to admit that, but he hadn't gotten the training he needed to be an effective fighter.

"Why do you need strengths other than that? You don't to start off with. Teleporting gives you the chance to have the element of surprise. If you overdo it you'll exhaust yourself, but it's worth having it in your pocket when it's needed." Tourmaline rocked on her heels, crossing her arms over her chest while staring at him. "Have you thought about taking any classes? Martial arts, kickboxing... Interpretive dance?" A grin curved her lips at the last one, eyes gleaming brightly.

He hated to admit it but... "I haven't yet learned to teleport yet. However my General promised to teach me soon." There, he said it, let her laugh at his inability to do something that should be simple at this point.
He stood up, relaxing a bit since Tourmaline didn't seem to be attacking again... yet. "Yes, I have signed up for some classes, but unfortunately with my school schedule getting a bit busier I haven't been able to go as of yet." It probably just sounded like an excuse to her, however he did care very much about getting his degree. It was the first step in becoming a doctor that he had wanted so badly.

"How about we schedule a time to do this again, then? If your General hasn't taught you how to teleport by the next time we meet then I can show you... And we'll have a rematch once you've had a bit more practice?" Her brow quirked as she rocked on her heels, pondering for a moment longer before adding on an extra thought. "... Unless you'd like me to show you how to now?"

Arseno thought about it for a bit. He definitely wasn't at the same level of skill as Tourmaline, and he definitely needed to learn how to teleport. He also didn't want to risk randomly doing it in battle before he had been able to practice it. He nodded to her, agreeing with her idea. "I think that would be best. at least then I would know how to teleport, and I hope that I would have improved on my fighting skills at least." Though he couldn't guarantee it. He still didn't feel like much of a fighter.
He shook his head. "I believe my general would be happy to teach me, and I trust him. I would be fine with us meeting up some other time though, when we're both ready and available." He certainly wouldn't be ready anytime soon, but at least he could get some training in right?
"Since we'll meet again, I believe we should call it a night. Thank you for meeting up with me, though I know I'm not the best sparring partner." And with that, he waited long enough for her to give her reply and then he was off.

"I'm sure your generally would be. I know that mine was." The smile had faded from her face at the mention of her general and for a moment the young captain seemed less vibrant than she had only seconds ago. General Labyrinthite had taught her many things and then he had just... Disappeared. Tourmaline took a deep breath, bringing her hands up to tighten her ponytail before turning on her heel to walk away. "Until we meet again, Captain."
