"Mmhmm!" Nuawahn said, stuffing Jelta into a sealable pocket. It wasn't as fun for her in there, but he didn't want her to get eaten and there were seeds if she wanted them. "I got her! She's okay! She's a lady! She's a pretty lady!" he replied, standing up, "But maybe I shouldn't take her out right now... Where's the perzi?" he looked around him for telltail slitted eyes. "Kitty? Kittykitty?" he called out, jangling his beads hopefully.

"No I don't think so, besides if he did so in a way I didn't like he wouldn't still be walking..living, whichever." She muttered an aside to her husband before walking inside. Arron's perzi was skittering around the corner looking for whatever attention it could get, besides it had heard little rodent feets.

Iroia caught it by the scruff, it was a friendly thing for all of the method of its catching and held it like a baby for Nua to inspect.

"This is my sons, a well behaved perzi..for a cat."

She stroked the hairless head idly and the darn thing started to purr obnoxiously and batted gently at Nua.

She had a point, there.

Definitely, Arron's Perzi was a sweet little attention seeker. Meanwhile, the one that Votzhem had given to his daughter was... different. Votzhem often wondered if the creatures had picked up on his children's personalities.

"So." Votzhem said carefully, "Have you been in Jauhar long?" he stroked the sailscale's head as he talked, trying to keep the beast calm and happy on his arm... and within distraction distance, if he needed to distract his sunny guest. "Will you be moving on tonight, or...?"

"Kittyyyyy!" Nua cooed as he batted at the perzi's paw. He giggled at it's antics, opening his arms to cuddle the creature himself. "Cute kitty!" He gave it a kiss on the face and pet it. A lot. "Nice kitty!" Happy Nua.

He sat down on the floor for better cuddling of the Perzi, looking up at Votzhem - all big, sparkly eyes and innocence. "I just got here this time!" he said, "I have to visit my friend as soon as possible - she grows special plants and I need them." his expression grew hopeful. "... but can I have soup first? I'm hungry. Baths make me hungry." And so did magic, and he'd shown his new friend 'roia lots of fun magic!

Iroia contrary to appearances and other hobbies, did like gardening, "What kind of herb?" She asked curiously, their odd little bug had just gotten interesting. Meanwhile she prepared soup for them all and set up the table so that they could eat. Once the soup heated she set it out and cut some bread. Soon everything was ready.

"Come and get it!"

"Yes, what kind of plant?" Votzhem continued to interrogate Nuawahn. He knew that gardening was one of his wife's hobbies, and if they could provide said herb, maybe they wouldn't be troubled by this mysterious person for much longer.

"Ah, thank you." He was hungry himself, though he watched for his guest before eating. "I take it." he said, preparing some food for Seri before sitting down himself, "That you like animals."

Nuawahn clearly liked animals - he didn't have to nod to affirm that. The perzi on his lap absorbing attention like a spiky sponge was proof enough. "It's a special, rare plant - big and thick and purple-y with lots of thick sap! You can only find it here, and only my friend grows it because it's really rare and the special bugs that used to help it went away a long time ago..." he babbled, "I take it so that I can think!" he said. he would have taken out one of the purple salves, but his arms were full of perzi, and he didn't want that to change... even when he saw the soup and the sailscale, in that order. He shifted indecisively, unsure what to do. Did he put the perzi on the floor so he could eat? Did he hug the perzi some more (it was purring so loudly!) Or did he reach for the sailscale to pet it?

Choices, choices!

Choices were hard, and his face grew strained, his eyes distant as he tried to make this very important decision...

Iroia raised an eyebrow and caught her husband's dark eyes. After the initial zing of connection she displayed her best 'I don't get people look'. His presence was becoming most awkward but if Vosh wasn't going to go there she would.

"Nua dear, come get your soup put the kitty down." She was getting tired and nothing drained her more than confusing earthlings....except perhaps confusing alkidikes. She sighed and scooped her allol up for comfort. She wanted to feed this boy and send him on so she could have a nap perhaps next to or on top of Voshy she wasn't so picky as to which as long as he was there.

"I'm getting tired, which is odd for me but not unheard of, still my bed beckons me."

"I don't believe we have that herb..." Votzhem responded. He raised his eyebrows at his wife, musing briefly how, while he'd been living with his sister in the cold, unforgiving wilderness for years, his wife had slightly less subtlety and tact than he did. Somehow. Still, the wind spirit man... thing... was exhausting, like a child. Worse than a child almost.

"And you do have to be going, after all?" Votzhem added, stopping himself before inviting him back. Mysterious entities should not be invited willy nilly into the home.

"Okay!" Nua obediently put down the Perzi, who was displeased by the sudden lack of attention, and picked up his spoon. He nodded understandingly, his expression almost comically serious. "Oh! All right!" he said. Of course she would be tired. "You're sleeping for..." mentally he counted the lives he had sensed before, including her own, that would be... "Three, after all!" he said, pleased.

"Sleeping for three what? " This boy was awfully wierd. What was he talking about now? She shook her head and leaned casually on Vosh. Soon the confusing one would be gone and she coukd relax.

She didn't relax often so when her bidy actually let ger she enjoyed it. Of course ut was easier with her husband home. When he was there she knew they were all safe.

Votzhem raised an eyebrow at the phrasing, but it didn't mean anything to him, and Nuawahn had already established himself as bizzarre. For all Votzhem knew, three could be some magic number with significance only to whatever spirit-entity Nuawahn really was. He held his wife and watched the strange windling carefully as he ate, just in case he did anything... weird.

"Three!" Nuawahn said, between happy mouthfuls. It was obvious to him what he meant. So, it must be obvious to them. Or was it? "People! Lives!" he clarified, after a moment. Maybe it wasn't so obvious after all - they were small little lives, two tiny little heartbeats and one big racing one - but surely she knew!

"You have to sleep so that the little ones can get big in your tummy!" he added, nodding proudly to show that he really knew this for a fact! It was a gross oversimplification of what was going on, but it made sense to him. There was no need to really get into all that detail about stomach-tummy and other-tummy and long gut things and whatnot... 'Tummy' worked just fine.

He resumed eating, completely unaware that he had just dropped a bombshell.

Iroia's lower eyelid twitched sutley as the rest of her body remained frozen as it only did when prey looked up during a hunt. Her muscles felt like steel bars and her heart was beating double time.

She turned to Vosh and jumped on him. "We did it! We did it! I told you it wasn't because of what we are!" OBVIOUSLY their first kids had NOT been a fluke.

She showered her mate in kisses completely forgetting about Nua being there, watching, whatever, the world had just changed absolutely again. She was pregnant with TWINS.

"Voshyvoshyvoshy!"

Now when you have an over energy disorder...you try to do ten thousand things at the same time when your excited. So of course she was clobbering her mate and babbling to him incessantly. She burrowed her face between his hair and beard and continued to babble happily. Showing the side of herself that usually only Voshy got to see. She inhaled his scent and was overbearingly happy.

Votzhem was confused at the windling's statement. So that what could get big in what now? Confusion was par for the course with this earthling, though, so when Iroia suddenly leapt onto him, squealing happily about how THEY HAD DONE IT, Votzhem wasn't sure what to think. "Wha?" he exclaimed.

"Are we... pregnant?!" It was what they'd been hoping for - hoping and hoping, with no reason that the time before hadn't been some strange fluke of fate. He couldn't believe it. He held her, praying to Aisha that it was true, and that the energy his wife was using to babble in exhubernace wouldn't lead to her crashing down to nothing in the end. He had only heard of the despair she had fallen into before. He had no desire to see it. "Are you sure?" He asked, not quite to Nua, gripping his wife tightly.

He couldn't get excited until he was sure.
