It wasn't that Jason had any malice against Sammy, or even any past history with the zombie. He honesty was just a big scardy-cat, even if he'd been here for a few years now he still couldn't get used to the more bizarre of Halloween, which for him included zombies. Seriously, she was a dead corpse walking around, it was extremely unsettling.

Still, she had proven to be very friendly and helpful towards them, and he saw no reason to be rude back to her.

"N-not so much a new haunted house, theres no traces of insanity around, which is good." He watched with much relief the creation horse gallop away from their camp. "I feel that place... has a mind of it's o-own. Like it's alive."

And then much to his surprise, Sammy sat down and explained to Joy what the seven legacies were. He himself leaned against a tree to get comfortable, amazed that someone from the other side was actively educating them. He was moved by the sentiment, only to be surprised even further as she held up a golden pendant of protection. "T-thats amazing!" he exclaimed, clearly impressed. Once the zombie ghoul had finished her explanation (he had to pause for a moment, finding her comment about the zombies being 'freaks', slightly humorous if not ironic), he pushed off the tree to fill in the blanks.

"Sammy is quite correct. The legacies have appeared time and time again in many forms. T-they originated in King Arthur's time, when the original knights were born. As Sammy has said, Excalibur is part of the blue kingdom, and has protected us for many years." Although he was currently AWOL at the moment. "There are 5 other legacies; Pride, which is gold, Reflection, which is purple, Grief, which is White, Destruction, which is Red, and finally Revenge, which is Black." His face grew dark, frowning at the mention of the black legacy. "Out of all of them, I would be most weary of revenge."

"Oh it's very alive and I think it hates all of us. Insanity is an equal opportunity force of destruction," this was her theory about the haunted house at least. Something like that torn between two worlds was sure to breed a lot of insanity that would cause chaos if it ever got out.

When Jason was impressed with her artifact she only grinned more, the ghoul did take some pride in being able to upshow a hunter, and to have the hunters be impressed only added to that.

"The kingdoms actually don't combine at all. The first time we ran across them as a whole they where actually at war with one another. The blue kingdom shockingly stayed out of most of the fighting opting to try and protect one another by sacrifice."

She reached up tapping the back of her skull, "Another me in that timeline, or world, whatever it was. She volunteered to take a bullet to the back of the head. End her life. Along with another fella, if they died the crumbling world promised protection to our kinds and family. Turns out it wasn't the end but that's whole nother mess."

The ghoul remained on her stone and had grown more relaxed as they talked shaking her head at Joy again. "Nah, no malls when Creation hit, at least not when I ran across it. That was in Canada. There was um, a lot of weird stuff to be honest? Tons of humans passed out and stuff we had to save. I got to drive a 'hummer' whatever that is. Like a big monster truck. Cool as ********. And a crazy casino, an abandoned hospital. Shadows of ourselves blah blah blah."

She spun her finger in a circle, "And Jason's right. Revenge is the worst of the legacies, if Excalibur is Blue, Merlin is Black, and that's.... I don't even know what to say. He's..." She frowned, "Back in the start with Arthurs knights, Lancelot was the knight of the blue, I think Merlin was the black knight? My memory is rusty on that bit. But he forced the first conversions of FEAR into weapons. Our knights we lived the lives of didn't know it, but some finally caught on. They woke up enough to realize their weapons where living things I don't think mine realized it till after the world nearly ended."

Joy raised a hand as if intending to ask a question. "Tekaminute, nosebleed moment." And while the actual lack of blood made it clear it wasn't a literal nosebleed, the utter confusion on her face suggested it was a figure of speech. "Am I gonna have to take like notes on this s**t?"

Damn it, you'd think the only names she would have to focus on remembering were the bosses and the people she ended up working with. And the couple of halloweeners who were nice enough kids. Okay now that Joy thought about it there were a lot of names. Maybe she should start bringing around a notebook and a pencil or something.

"I-it's fine, there is so much to remember, and so many t-time lines." Jason reassured. "I-I'm able to recall the knights era fairly well, it was...very memorable." But in a good way, he felt. Of course horrible things happened, but some good memories were forged too.

"The legacies sometimes appear at random, and when they do their power drags everybody in, and thats when we have things like the knights, or the kingdoms. Though when they go berserk like creation, we get a whole lot of problems."

He also wanted to reassure Joy that she wouldn't need to remember everything. "Y-yeah, most of this stuff isn't necessary to know for our day to day tasks. It just makes some things easier to understand."

"Memorable is putting it lightly," It was a reminder of how close the world had come to ruin already before they even existed to fight for it now. Surely there where and would be other close calls like it.

The wonderland only caught the faintest edge of her memories, that was one she hadn't really taken part in, but the faintest whif of it did linger. "They warp reality, like Jason said they pull you in. The difference is well, the Kingdom, the creation of hunters. That was a memory, we lived the memories of one of the original hunters. All the other ones where shattered worlds. A world where Merlin and Excalibur nearly destroyed everything before putting it back together again."

"So you were there too, Jason? If we ever teamed up or fought, sorry if I don't remember it." She apologized though not about to admit that she remembered others things about Wonderland more.

Her brows were definitely getting a workout in relation to always meeting together, "Exploding and being remade, is that mebbe why FEAR exists? All this," she gestured around herself in a sort of generalized area "Can't be stable if it's been destroyed and then put back together a whole buncha times already."

"I-it's fine" He assured, though honesty he had no recollection of meeting her either.

Jason then flinched when a bony pointed was pointed his way. "S-sorry!" He quickly apologized, not wanting to offend Sammy. It was interesting to hear her explanation about why they existed. And truth be told he had never heard this before. It wasn't something he had thought to ask Zanthvos. He just knew they were there and liked to scare them. All the time.

"Y....yes" He looked to the ground, biting his lip. He did know the part about weapons eating his fear (Which might explain why Zanth never asked him to go fight creatures, since he was so freaked out all the time. Guy must be stuffed. )

He wanted to add to that, wanted to ask her to pull back on the whole scaring part, but the idea of even asking such a thing felt stupid. She did need to get fear to live after all "I kept seeing things...all the time." He mumbled. " Every night. They would always come from me...I never got a break."
