Blake could only chuckle at Rei's volume correction. Maybe coming to the party wasn't such a bad idea after all."Heheheh, you're fine!" she stated, waving her free hand back and forth."Let's head over there before someone snatches up that prime real estate."With that, the elf head over to the open couch, hopefully followed by Rei. All the while, those women's conversation ate at the back of her head. Why would someone bring up Gram here? People would probably take more interest in that here. Rowan's said that himself, but what's the point of talking about it at this party? She'd stew on this until the purple-haired woman she'd met at the snack table joined her on the couch. Whether it was because it was on her mind or someone had actually said it, Blake swore she heard "Gram" not too far from where she scoped out for chilling. They would, however, be cut off by a guy who looked about their age. He had dark hair and small horns jutting from his head, making Blake think he was a demon.
"Hey, ladies. Didja hear? That oaf of a bouncer let the dangerous weapon Gram into the party. Don't worry, though, I'm more than capable of keeping two cuties like you safe." A third mention was enough to make something in the Mage snap.
"Oh, well,"she murmured stepping closer to the man, almost uncomfortably so, but if the elf didn't want to get kicked out, then she'd have to be discreet enough to go unnoticed."That's really...frustrating."Her voice dropped an octave and in volume as she moved her finger close to his chest. Between them, a very small orb of metal was forming."'cause I was just considering skewering the next imbecile that mentioned my Knight without purpose," she whispered to him with a smile. Anyone who knew of the two would probably think the woman was channeling her mother.
"Tch, whatever..."The demon shoved his hands in his pockets before walking away. Blake sighed and turned the small swirling orb of metal into a very tiny flower, happy the fake threat didn't turn into a scene. Her green eyes did a quick scan of the sea of people. Was Rowan really here, though? What would be the point in showing up to a party he hadn't show the slightest bit of interest in? Some passive aggressive epiphany was forming in the back of her mind, but she wiped it away. This wasn't going to ruin her night.
"Sorry, Rei, something really weird is going on. Don't you just hate rumors?"She handed the silver flower she'd made to her new acquaintance. It was probably small enough to fit in the woman's palm."Anyway... let's go sit down. These heels are killing me." And so is all of this Gram talk!Blake wasn't sure how long she could sit around and listen to people back-and-forth about it. Defeated, she cast the detection spell. A couple auras near her showed up first. They were surprisingly potent, making Blake think they were vampires or something of the sort. Then a very unique one revealed itself on the edge of the spell's radius, undoubtedly belonging to her Knight. Fighting every urge to loose her cool, she made her way to the empty couch before sinking into it. The aura faded away.He really just hates me, doesn't he? Coming to a party I'm at after saying he wouldn't... Either he despise me that much or is trying to give me an aneurysm. No! I'm not going to allow this to bother me! I'm having fun talking with Rei. He can deal with whatever attention he brings to himself.Though she would probably stop the man if she ended up seeing him.
πThis was humiliating....Why did he have to come to such a thing?! Sure it was a formal event and it'd be handy to make some possible allies, but this get up...It embarrassed him way too much! He didn't really have any formal outfits, but seeing how this was "cute", it was the closest thing he had. Earlier he had considered simply buying one here for himself, but he was proud of his culture and wanted to show it off! Even if he looked like some pampered child....Grumbling a bit, Akihi had slowly walked into the main area, blushing somewhat deeply as he wasn't looking forward to what people were going to say. Quickly he began to look around for Rei, wishing to have someone to use as cover so less eyes would look at him. As he walked and looked around for his Knight, a few people had talked about him, calling him a child, cute, asking why he was even here and where his parents were. It was honestly frustrating him that he was being mistaken as naught but a mere child! He was young yes, but they should at least show him respect! It pissed him off on many levels, but he would have to bare it for now.
Finally the young child found his companion, quickly dashing at her and hiding behind her, embarrassingly tugging on her dress for dear life as though his greatest nightmare had came to life, which thankfully it wasn't. With his cheeks still red out of embarrassment, he would casually peek out while hiding himself, making sure no one was loo-....He had failed to notice the elf, great. Looking up at her with a face that screamed he was possibly a Shut-In, he would ask "R-Rei...W-Why is attending such a thing worth it again? Also w-who is this? C-Clearly a mage, but who is s-she exactly?" In a stuttering and also embarassed voice. This girl, while beautiful, he was unsure if he could fully trust; while she was speaking with Rei, it was obvious they had just met. Many a thing had happened to Zhen which left him with low trust in others, it was a wonder that he was trusting Rei in all honesty. He had given Blake a stare akin to someone who suspicious of someone else's motives; was she actually trying to be friends with Rei?
Rei smiled and nodded before she followed Blake toward the couch. Thoughts running through her mind included which finger food she would try next (color=violet]'Maybe this fruit one.'), if there was anyway she could replicate any of these with the low level ingredients available to normal residents, and if Akihi would show up ('Or maybe he's already here?'). She had a small feeling that maybe he really was here, but she was sure she would hear about a cute little boy within the passing gossip, so she brushed off that thought. And then they were stopped by a guy who seemed to be underestimating (or mistakening) the two women. 'Gram? I think I've heard of that somewhere before.' Rei mulled it over in her mind, tipping her head slightly to the side in thought and confusion. 'Or maybe I just knew someone named Graham.' She completely missed the confrontation between Blake and the man as she was lost in thought, but came back to reality when Blake addressed her.
"It's alright. You just have to take rumors with a grain of salt." She smiled and accepted the small flower, thanking her for the gift. "Yeah, same here." Rei herself was surprised she had made it this long without tripping or slipping out of the insane footwear. She followed Blake once again to their destination, but was once again stopped, this time from behind as hands grabbed at her dress. She didn't want to cause a scene by spinning and attacking the offender, so instead looked over her shoulder, only calming down once seeing the familiar blue hair and ears of her mage.
"Akihi-san..." Rei would start warily. She was shorter than him (even while he wasn't very tall himself), so he had to look pretty suspicious with the way he was trying to hide behind her. She sighed slightly, but a bit comforted in the unusual environment with familiar actions. "This is Blake." She motioned to Blake before looking to the woman to introduce the awkward boy. "Blake, this is my mage, Akihi." She would then hold out her plate of food to Akihi, trying to possibly get him to not be so stressed looking. "The food here is pretty great. It's a nice break from Lembas bread."
You're all attempting to enjoy yourselves when something strange happens; absolutely ever party member is becoming nauseated, sick to their stomach. Was it the shrimp? Who knows? The phenomenon slowly subsides. Anyone who hadn't noticed that change may even think that everything was fine; however, that's not quite the case. Upon close inspection or even first glance, it seems that all of the party guests have switched genders! How could something so ridiculous happen without anyone realizing beforehand? What caused it? Hopefully, everyone will find out soon! What are they to do if they party's to come to an end without solution?
That's right, everyone! The switch is now! We'll be allowing you guys two-three posts to serve as a wrap-up of whatever you're doing, but please realize that you have to make the bend rather soon.
If you have any questions, check out the OOC thread linked in the first post! Good luck, everyone!
Something felt strange, it was as if something had attacked her senses, but only that. It was like you were being spun around continuously while asked to walk in a straight line. She went to tie her hair up but felt the length had changed, a thought that she let pass for a second before throwing water from the sink at her face, washing it trying to re orientate herself, fluttered from this sudden inability to sense things. Looking up at the mirror she double checked, looking behind her then back to see a male that was by means her type. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" she shrieked.
Rushing back out from the bathroom she took a coat the was hung up, her thoughts on hiding her body that went from being feminine to muscular. She went back to her seat in a clear panic. "Please help me, I don't know how it happened but it happened and I can't fix it oh my gosh, please help me Ellie."
Blake couldn't help but raise her eyebrow at the blue-haired boy. Did she really give off such an air that people pin-pointed her as a magus? He seemed to be rather wary of her presence, so the elf just smiled at him kindly, waving when Rei was nice enough to introduce them to each other."Hello! You're a Mage, huh? That's pretty cool!"Her attention drifted back over to Rei. "Wait, so Rei, that means you're a Knight? That's awesome! Mine's around here somewhere..."she muttered under her breath, looking in the direction of where the aura was. It was no use. He was taller than most people, but there were, in fact, lots of people here. Blake sighed with a bit of a smile."At least I think so!"The woman laughed nervously while scratching the back of her head.
I can't believe he'd even show up to something like this...and without me! Rei's mention of the food to her Mage caught Blake's attention. She had planned to chime in about it but realized that she'd yet to take a single bite! With that, the woman picked up one of the crackers from her plate and put it in her mouth. They were pretty delicious! Something so simple beat her own basic cooking by a mile! It almost made her jealous... "Oh wow, Rei, you're right! These are really good!"Blake exclaimed after eating the thing, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. She was about to ask what business they were into as a Knight and Mage but suddenly felt light-headed, even nauseated. The woman was prepared to power through it, but the feeling was so overwhelming that she wasn't sure if she could.
"S-sorry, guys. I'll, uh, be right back. I'm not really feeling great..." Maybe some water would help her unsettled stomach. As Blake head toward the bar, Rowan's aura entered her radar again. She sighed but decided to head toward it anyway. It was strange. The woman had expected something a little less...appropriate when it came to how he'd be dressed. Instead, he was clothed rather extravagantly, leaving Blake a little dumbfounded as she stared at him through a small crowd of people. Oh, come on. That isn't fair at all. It's bad in itself that you were bold enough to come without, but dressed like that...She almost instantly forgot about how sick she felt at the sight. He most certainly looked the part of a Knight. Futilely attempting to stop blushing, she made her way over to the man before stepping in front of him to get his attention. It was hard enough to look him in the eye.Y-you can't surprise me with this stuff!
"W-what are you doing here?" she asked, doing her best to be angry despite how she found his current appearance. "I thought you said this party would be stupid! Y-you came anyway?! And even wore something so nice... Geez, and there are a bunch of people talking about you and Gram like..." A surge of nausea hit her, causing her to stagger a little and hold her forehead with her hand."Uhnn... Nevermind that right now. Have you seen a restroom anywhere? I'm not feeling so great..."Despite being a couple shades of red from just how princely her Knight looked, Blake wasn't in the best of shape. It sounded like there may have been a scream from another room. Blake being Blake wanted nothing more than to go see and maybe help with whatever was going on. Moving, however, didn't seem like such a good idea.

Living Eternally
~Rowan~
"There used to be a point to everything, but since that day I can't seem to find myself caring about anything anymore. It's not because I don't want to, but because it's best if I don't."
Rowan was in the middle of getting yet another piece of food when he was so rudely interrupted by a woman who was undoubtedly is Mage. While she seemed to be upset with him, her blushing face told a different story that only served to make Rowan feel slightly awkward. It was uncomfortable, and her fake angry attitude was only making him feel more and more awkward as he listened to her. "Listen, I don't care about that dance at all. Nor did I want to come to this thing. The fact is, I don't know how to cook and whatever they're serving here is probably ten times better than whatever I get on a daily basis. We live like paupers, and our food really reflects that. You think I'm going to pass up the chance to eat some extravagant dishes all night long? You're insane if you think I would." Rowan stated, stating the facts of the situation rather than trying to calm the young woman down. There was no doubting that the food tasted better here, after all they lived off of food bought at local markets and using as little money as possible. Local and cheap did not mix too well.
"Listen, I've gotta hear you nag nearly twenty-four seven when we're at the house. What makes you think I want to come to a party to hear you nag at me when I just want to eat food?" Rowan complained, disgruntled by the situation and having a slightly more venomous tone to his voice. While he was rather cold, it had been an act up to a certain point. Over time, however, it seemed that he had actually started developing the traits that he was pretending to have. Not that it was necessarily a good thing. When Blake asked him if he had seen the restroom, Rowan merely waved his hand from side to side nonchalantly and spoke. "Like I'd know that. It's probably toward the entrance though, you should try there." Rowan stated to her, his eyes drifting over towards her for a moment before he looked the young woman up and down. Despite the fact that he had decided against attending this party with her, she seemed to have dressed up rather nicely for someone attending a party alone. Maybe she's finally managed to get a guy for once. He thought to himself, observing her carefully.
She was decent, at least in his opinion. She seemed to humble though, and did not really show much confidence in her beauty. That sort of negated a lot of the appeal of the girl. If she carried herself better, showed some pride in how she looked, then she would seem a lot more charismatic for sure. Instead, however, she was far too modest about it and ignored the beautiful qualities she had. It was... slightly disappointing... but that was just how Blake was. At least, that was how she acted around him... which could be an entirely different person. "Don't bother if you're going to the bathroom to touch up your makeup. You're fine as is." Rowan stated to her with a rather uncaring town, walking away from her and leaving her to find the bathroom for herself. After moving away from her, however, there was a slight nauseous feeling in his stomach and he felt very uncomfortable. Great... I ate so much food that I made myself sick. I was so eager to eat as much as possible because this was a rare occasion... I guess that's my mistake. Rowan thought to himself as he leaned up against a wall, trying his best to ignore the nauseous feeling.
"Even if you tell me that there was a point to bringing me back, that still doesn't seem to mean anything to me. All I am is a weapon, and that was all I was trained to be, since the beginning."
