Cerelia's head tilted in wonder and some confusion. From the way he spoke about other lifetimes, there seemed to be more to the story, perhaps that was his real secret. "If you're able to show me, perhaps it isn't so useless after all!" The female chipped in, trying to imagine what it could possibly be that was so useless. Even if it only had use as entertainment, it was still purposeful, right? The look on his face certainly intrigued her, and the female shrugged her shoulders in a more flirtatious manner in response. "You don't need my permission." She responded. How strange that he would ask her for permission to use his own ability. For not being interesting enough to have secrets, he sure seemed pretty interesting right now. Menelie If I remember right, his kiss grants pae the ability to breathe underwater? Would that have any effect on a naiad?

Toli couldn't help but chuckle at her curiosity, and the ease with which she agreed. She had no idea what his power would do, or why he might ask permission. He hoped she'd be delighted by it, but he was amazed at how trusting she was. Maybe he'd been spending too much time with Itsaso after all...she didn't even trust herself. Maybe it was rubbing off.
"How kind of you," he said with a little wink. He stopped swimming then, and turned them so they were facing one another. "Close your eyes, it'll be a surprise." If she liked secrets so well, he'd bet the whole ocean she also liked surprises.
Once her eyes were closed, he put one hand on her hip, and curled one hand around her back, pulling her close, but still at a respectful distance, and he didn't hold her too tightly. You had to give her a way out for a surprise first kiss. He leaned down and kissed her softly, and his own heart fluttered. Maybe the surprise was really on him.
He released her, then, and watched for her reaction.Wolfs Heart Nope, but it makes a darn good excuse for a kiss anyway lololol

At Toli's response, the look on Cerelia's face still spelled out her confusion, but she was so very interested. A small smile formed at his wink as she stopped swimming to see what the naiad might do. "Okay!" She agreed excitedly, this was going to be fun, she could still hardly believe that his power was going to be useless. The female closed her eyes, her body now buzzing with excitement. The feeling of his hands on her was magnified by the fact that his eyes were closed, she could feel everything as if it were a shock of electricity. The excitement she was feeling about his surprise power changed into a different sort of excitement. It was incredibly unexpected when her lips suddenly felt pressure as well. Cerelia couldn't help but peek now as warmth flooded her cheeks and moved throughout the rest of her body. That was surprising indeed. Her heart was racing now, but she waited now, waited for something else to happen. But nothing seemed to happen. Cerelia tried to make sense of what happened. "Ohhhhh..." She said, the realization dawning on her. "Your power is that you are an amazing kisser." No wonder he had kids. "That's hardly useless." The female giggled, her cheeks still rosy.

Toli burst out laughing. "I appreciate the compliment, but I'd hardly call that a useless power!" He shook his head, still tittering. "No, that's not my power at all." He felt heat rising to his cheeks. He was...blushing? How unmanly.
"Now, if we were up above, on the beach, and you weren't a Naiad, which would be a damn shame, of course, since you've got the most beautiful tail I've ever seen, and I'd done that? If we were above and I'd kissed you, you'd be able to breathe underwater for a spell, like a Naiad." He put his hands on his own hips.
"But, as it is, both of us already at the bottom of the Lake?" He made a shrugging, open-palmed gesture. "A bit of a useless power."
"So there you have it. That's my secret."

A bright smile formed on Cerelia's face, she felt silly for suggesting that his power was that he was a good kisser, but at least he had enjoyed it. She flicked her tail in appreciation of his compliment as he explained what his power truly was. It's true, he would have to spend a lot more time kissing land-pae for his power to have any use. That would be a shame too. "I guess you need to get in the business of rescuing pae that fall in the water." She suggested, although admitedly, after that kiss, she really didn't want to think about him kissing every dame that fell in the water. "You're right though, it doesn't seem like a good fit for you." She nodded decisively. That kiss sure had been swell though.
