Zephyr smiled a bit as he saw the young boy, chuckling a little, "For a little bit - I'm not sure if we'll end up staying here or not, it depends on if I can find her. She sent me a message saying that she was coming home, so I figured I'd check here before trying to find other places she called home.. you wouldn't have happened to see her?" he asked the boy, he was hoping someone saw her recently, it would be helpful if they did.

Zaku blinked as Tri suddenly shifted directions and flew after him, not about to let him run around on his own after that last stunt he just pulled.
The library was open, but not at all busy. Amelia was shelving books near the front of the library to keep an eye on any visitors that might pop in during the day.

"Find her?" he repeated with a concerned look and a tilt of the head. Listening to the rest of the story he shook his head. "I haven't seen her around since she left. Have you checked the library? She went there all the time." he asked, moving his arms up behind his head casually as he kicked at the ground, swaying a little. "Mom's there right now, maybe she's heard from her..."

Tri landed and just checked the area before silently going inside. There was one thing he never had been able to get when he was looking for Hexxis the second time around and that was a picture of Amelia, or at least one where he was completely certain it was her. As he walked inside he looked around and moved to the employee that was shelving books since there didn't seem to be anyone at the desk. "Hello, Would Amelia (name) be here today? Or Hexxis" he said stoically, hoping Zaku was distracted by a killer bee or something.

"Darn.." Zephyr sighed, kneeling down a little bit, "The library, huh? I was going to go there next, but I just wanted to check here for a little bit, see where she might have ended up." he looked at the boy, "I am happy to see that you're alright though, kid."

The shorter dark-skinned demon looked up to Tri with a smile, "I'm Amelia, the owner of the library.." she suddenly paused as the topic shifted to Hexxis. "...And who might I ask is looking for her?" she requested respectfully but kept a close eye on the two men.
Zaku was behind Tri but trying to stay inconspicuous with his head down and eyes averted for the moment.

"Well, if she came back to sing, you'd bet the whole town would be in an uproar about it." he commented with a smile, "Yeah, I'm okay. Glad you're okay too." Witley gave a smug look before leaning a bit back. "Maybe I can help you look for her."

"I believe we talked on the phone before. I mentioned I was her father then, adopted" he added quietly, not having the time or patience to cut through assumptions." That I was grateful that you stepped in to help her when she needed it" not really sure what he said but pretty sure he said something along those lines. " She has gone missing a while ago and her journal has shown me that her mind... might not be in a very good place. I was hoping to know if you have seen her, before she does something drastic"

"That would be wonderful, Witley." Zephyr stood back up and stretched a little bit, "I checked where the shop was, but we can always stop by there later again when we complete the circuit of where she could be." as he spoke, he looked around, "Might as well head to the library, would you like to lead the way?"

Amelia showed relief in her eyes as she recognized his voice with the one on the phone. "Oh, you are the father. That's a relief, there's always a multitude of shady characters asking about her." she nodded as he thanked her. "It was no problem. I will always be there for her if she needs it."
There was a flicker of worry as he mentioned her missing. "Last I saw her a couple weeks ago. She was out of town with Zephyr and some shady people came and burned down the coffee shop she lives in. Thankfully no one was hurt. But there were Criel government officials looking for her. She felt it would be safer to go back home to SIU to try to get her freedom granted. She told Zephyr she would be back in a month... I assumed she was still there..... I assume she made it there alright since Zephyr left the city after that." she explained with a frown. "My son runs around town a lot, and would have told me if he saw her around. He is very close to her."

Witley smiles wide, "Okay! Yeah, we can check again later. She always liked to wander around from time to time." he commented before grinning with a small chuckle. "Of course!" he spun and began to walk back toward the library. Not taking very long to get there. He opened the door, holding open the door with a smile. "After you."he stifled a laugh, acting fairly silly.

Tri frowned faintly as Amelia basically proved she knew a bit to much than she should as she explained everything that happened and where Hexxis had gone.
That Hexxis had gone back to SIU to regain her freedom was something new to him, likely even Mara. They had both assumed she was just looking for safety from Criel, which made her desire to suddenly leave after rescuing him and finding out her heart problem even odder. Then again she said she would meet Zeph again in a month .....that was likely it...that was always it.
He let out a very soft sigh "Some of that is new to me. If she contacts you again can you send me a message of where she is ...if she asks you not then I just ask for an update that she is okay " he asked quietly, frowning as he felt his phone ring. "Sorry " he excuse himself not to far away as he pulled out his phone, looking surprised at the number and answering just as he heard a kid entering the library.
"Hexxis" he said quietly, hopefully as he answered the phone.
"....No. she headed to the west from Belrad (#) hours ago. She dropped her phone after we agreed to meet. I doubt it was accidental. That's all I know "
"Ree..." he took a breath "Wait..." there was a flicker of pain on his face as he took forward but had no wait to stop him from hanging up.
"She's hurting Tri. She wants to be with you and think you hate her. You are her Mara ... but she is going to be an equally stubborn idiot like you and go for the things she really wants. Right now? She's lost, depressed, and very close to suicidal thoughts with just the slightest push. Now she was picked up by someone or just completely hit breakdown and forgot what she was doing. You better figure out which " the line went dead a moment later but not without anger and pain entering Ree's voice in the last few words.
Tri stood there holding the phone as it clicked off and slowly lowering it down with a deeply pained look on his face. Taking a breath he pocketed the phone carefully and looked up.

"I do believe her want to wander is duly deserved, as it gives her much more freedom and allows her to see things in the world she might not have seen - as every minute gives new possibilities." Zephyr stated as he followed Witley to the library, happy to see that the kid seemed safe and sound after everything had happened before he and Hexxis had left. Chuckling a little as the door was opened for him, he bowed his head a bit, "Why thank you, good sir." he joked back, grinning a little, though as he went to take a couple steps into the library he spotted Tri.
His stomach sinking, he quickly looked away and turned to look at Witley, now wondering if Tri was also looking for Hexxis. It hand't quite clicked that he was the one who shot earlier.

Amelia nodded. "Of course, ii let you know if I hear anything. I really hope she's okay."
As Tri moved away, she looked to Zaku with a curious look. But when the door opened she smiled as she saw Zephyr and Witly. Walking over to them, her smile grew. "Hello, Zephyr. How are you doing today?" she greeted, also waving at Witly. "Oh, her father is here looking for her... You happen to know where Lorelei is?"
Zaku moved through the library to get a good positi9b behind a shelf so he could hear the conversation between Zephyr and Amelia.
Witly grinned. "Hey mom!!" he saved back then laughed a bit.

Tri froze the sad look fading to one of hatred before fading completely behind a stoic mask. Feathers bristled for a moment then smooth as he stared at the merc then looked over to Amelia. "Thank you for your help. I hope to hear from you soon " he said with a slight nod to her and moved around them toward Zeph, phasing through him if he didn't move and releasing only a very faint hint of his intimidation aura as he tried to move past Zeph .

Zephyr waved at Amelia, and moved out of the immediate way of the door, reaching out to ruffle Witley's hair before he put his hands in his pockets, "I've been looking for her myself... she's had to limit any outside contact since the fire - which I am still incredibly happy that they did that while the shop was closed.. - but I have only one real word to go off of. Home." he let out a soft sigh, his shoulders slumping a bit. "I was hoping you might have heard from her or might have seen her, but I guess not..." he bit his bottom lip and looked out the nearby windows.

Whitley giggled a bit as his hair was ruffled, also having gotten out of the way of the dark figure that walked through the door.
Amelia frowned as she watched Tri leave then returned her vision to Zephyr. "No, I haven't seen or heard anything. Her father mentioned her journal. That her mind wasn't in a good place... and was worried she had done something drastic. She never seemed like the type. I mean, she hardly smiled, but she never seemed to give up. So I really hope everything is alright...." she relayed then sighed. "I will let you know if I do hear from her though...."
Zaku listened then moved out and around to leave the library without another word. Finding where Tri was, he shoved his hands into his pockets. "...where next..?"

Tri let out his breath as he passed Zeph, unconsciously holding it and his own urge to attack the merc which under normal circumstances he would have been able too.
"...where next..?"
The voice startled him slightly as he looked at Zaku coming away from the corner of the building. He raised a brow faintly then looked back at the library hearing the child's voice before taking out his phone and started typing, grabbing a few bookmarks as he did so.
"Not here" he said simply and started walking as he typed, not caring if he was in the open.
-Amelia, as a parent I feel the need to inform you that while Hexxis may consider Zephyr a friend, colleague....and unfortunately more. He is not the best person to leave your son around. He has a reputation for having taken illegal jobs and having other ....interests. Should he inform you that he has changed I am linking multiple sites that feature him or talk of him as well as his warrant for suspicion of murder (unlike Hexxis's stolen property warrant).

Unlike what they might have likely told you, that Metas age quickly, Zeph is considered nearly a senior citizen of our kind being one of the oldest at 30 years old. Hexxis is only 7 years old and while mental age differ vastly between metas she has barely had a childhood until recently and even then that has been cut short due to his involvement.
If she has not informed you she ran away due to an argument as a child. Three weeks later we find Zephyr and Hexxis, as a newly reach teen, together already pledging their love. Not counting Zephyrs promiscuity and hinting of being a ***** there is also the high likelihood of him being the person torturing Dr Kae Broken in the video that had been featured in Norcrest as well as having Renegade ties. I would not recommend you tell or ask him of this information for the safety of you and your child but you are free to ask Hexxis if you see her again. -
Sending the text to Amelia he looked up and blinked before sighing. "Lets go. Ree called..." he said once they were far enough from the library and took wing.
