She made an indignant squeak when he stretched the cap back over her head and eyes, and she she gave his side a little pinch before pushing the knit back so she could see again.

"I can and I will if you're not careful," she threatened playfully, wrapping her arm around his again and laying her now free hand in the crook of his elbow. "Better toe the line, Mr. Payne." She was joking, of course. Probably. Maybe.

The way he mentioned his sister, along with it being tied up with his dislike for water made her think there was a sad story there, but she wasn't sure if they were at the point of their friendship were she felt like she had to the right to ask him about it. Not yet, anyways. "I have a twin brother, his name's Caspian, and he's a complete fashion disaster." She snorted softly, amused. "I'm the cooler twin."

She took the jar he offered up to her and unscrewed the cap to slip into her pocket. "I kinda hope they hang around," she admitted as she sank into a crouch beside him and plucked a pretty crystal out of the softer snow. "Not all the ones in the city, but at least the ones we're collecting." It'd be nice to have a magical keepsake from one of the weird events that plagued the city that wasn't actively trying to harm them.
