He could feel the fear like a physical thing; a cold chill in his chest, as though the lieutenant's hand had already sunk down into it. Remus had had the experience once of almost having his starseed ripped by Harmotome; and had had to watch as Sessrumnir's starseed had been pulled, and he wasn't keen to repeat either experience anytime soon.
His knee hit the man's leg, knocking him sideways, but he'd miscalculated. The leiutenant's arm hooked under Remus's leg and made him stagger, Remus bellowing out a sound of anger and protest, staggering and slipping and almost falling over, but managing to hold on and not be thrown.
He tried to disentangle himself, Remus yelling, more out of desperation than anything else, "Rock Walk!"guine Remus flings a handful of regolith on the ground at his opponent's feet, and they feel the same sort of sluggish sensation, only with the added effect of feeling as though they're walking barefoot on sharp rocks or legos. It's not actual rocks, so there aren't any cuts, but it sure feels painful. This effect lasts for 25 seconds, and can be used twice per battle. Effects are weakened if opponent is stronger.

Ah, this senshi had more clever tricks up his sleeve. But that was all they were; tricks. Soon enough he would run out of the energy he had to use his magic, and that would be it. Game over.
Bloodstone gripped tighter to the senshi’s leg, taking advantage of already having it hooked over his arm, his other hand reaching to grab hold of his ankle, despite the sluggish movements and feeling of stepping on sharp rocks.
But, he had to wonder. If this magic made his movements slow, did it affect gravity as well?
He pushed himself forward, making to collapse on top of the senshi’s leg, to somehow get him onto the ground and hold him in place until the magic wore out. The effort was rather crude, but when magic was being thrown around, Bloodstone needed to use his resources.
Hitting the ground with a thud and gasp, using his shoulder to brace himself from the impact, but also trying to keep the senshi’s leg twisted under him. If he didn’t manage to do that, Bloodstone knew he would have a hell of a time trying to get back up.

Remus did the only thing he could think of as the lieutenant grabbed for his ankle and kicked out viciously, lips curling back into a snarl of annoyance that overtook, at least in some part, the underlying fear of having his starseed ripped. He was not going to let that happen.
Or anything.
The man was trying to get him to the ground, even with the magic hounding him, and Remus could not quite break away. He hit the pavement with a crash right after the agent and felt the shock of impact reverberate up and down his left arm and leg, sending pinpricks of unpleasant sensation. He was still kicking, writhing, refusing to be still and let this b*****d do anything more to ******** - get off," Remus snarled, and twisted, yanking at his leg. "You Negaverse shitheads are all the same."

Managing to get the senshi on the ground was a success for him, if only because he knew he wouldn’t have a chance to escape while the magic of his was still wearing off. From the last time, he estimated only a little while longer until he was able to stand back up with ease.
Preferably with the senshi’s starseed in his hand.
The words didn’t surprise him. Senshi were all the same as well. Especially when they realized they were in danger. Bloodstone knew he’d probably have a difficult time with this one; self-righteous and obstinate. He’d been the one to attack Bloodstone, after all.
He tried to guard his face from too many injuries, very much aware that the proximity would open himself up to being hit and kicked, but it wasn’t as though he hadn’t suffered through worse before.
“You seshi are all the same. Thinking that you understand everything about the world while refusing to believe that you may be wrong,” he grunted, keeping his head low, holding on tightly to the senshi’s leg, his fingers gripping into the fabric of his pants.

Remus let out a snarl that was less actual words and more just inarticulate anger and annoyance that he was still being treated as though he was stupid. He got enough of that from everyone else; he did not need it from this jackass of a Negaverse lieutenant.
The man still had his ankle. Remus kicked out again, vicious and unhesitating.
"I'm never wrong," he snapped, which was a perfectly outrageous lie and they both knew it; he was mostly just trying to be deliberately obnoxious in the hopes that this guy would let him go. Or show any other emotion other than flat nothing, which seemed to be his default.
"Get - off - "
There was a sudden burst of power flaring to life around them. A hand clapped down on the lieutenant's shoulder, not pulling, but resting in a way that suggested immediate action.
"Bloodstone," said Aurostibite calmly. "Let go."

There was no hesitation, no second thought. The second he was told to let go, he did, releasing the super senshi’s leg as quickly as the lingering magic allowed. It was still difficult to move, and Bloodstone did what he could to push himself back to his feet, which still felt as though he was stepping on sharp rocks, but thankfully seemed to be fading.
“General,” he greeted calmly, wondering if perhaps Aurostibite thought him too reckless, or maybe that he wasn’t efficient enough to dispatch of a super senshi. Whatever the reason he was sure he would find out later. Perhaps punished for whatever failures of which he was guilty, even.
He stepped back slowly, because he had no other choice, and waited for instruction, ignoring the fact that the super senshi had managed to kick him in the face, giving him a bloody lip and probably a nasty bruise along his jaw.
“Orders, sir?” he asked, his eyes trained on the senshi, his hand over the pocket he’d slipped the stolen starseed.

Remus let out a gasp of a surprised growl and scrambled away as soon as he felt the grip loosen. He wasn't sure what had changed the lieutenant's mind, but judging by the power signature that wafted over him, it was not a good thing in any sense of the word.
He clambered to his feet, his heart hammering in his chest, and took in the man standing there, the dark hair rippling down the general's back in ebony waves. He was regarding Remus with a calm, narrow-eyed expression, gloved hand sliding from the lieutenant's shoulder to rest at his side.
The general said, in tones of indicated dismissal, "He's not worth it. We'll come back for him another time. You still have the starseed and you've taken some energy, that's good enough for the time being."
He did not sound disappointed or disapproving, merely factual, the general turning away.
"We can give that starseed to Metallia," he said. "Let's go, Bloodstone."

Bloodstone lowered his head in understanding, turning to obediently follow Aurostibite. Had he been a Captain with the ability to teleport away, this fight would have been over long ago. Unfortunately, he would have to keep in mind the type of magic this senshi had, as it was rather obnoxious, just like the senshi’s personality.
“Yes, sir,” he responded and turned on his heel, glad to note that the magic had worn off. Perhaps next time the senshi would realize they should just leave well enough alone and keep walking.
