[ Shu - Pokemon Coordinator ]
Team: Shiny Drifloon, Reuniclus, Mimikyu, Sylveon, Bounsweet
-------------------------------

"So...here we are, Lumiouse city. Hmm, let's have a look at the map again, the lab is.....there and we're.....here-" The petite girl muttered to herself as she left the habour, she was glad that she booked the ticket earlier, for some reasons, the ship was packed with people. Once the ship parked, they rushed outside like a group of mooses. Shu overheard about an exciting conversation about the legendary, since she would have to pass the center anyways, she decided to check it out.

Having her cheeks puffed, Shu struggled in the ocean of people. The closer it was to the tower, the crowded it became. She had to make a sound frequently so that the much taller spectators circled her would aware someone was there. It couldn't be helped that the giant creature could be noticed from afar, it wasn't hard to spot when the area above your head was overshadowed. Frustrated, at a moment, she wanted to call Sylveon out to use her Moonblast to clear a path for herself.

Eventually, she could see the enormous legendary. Such an amazing creature, she immediately imagined what performance it could perform on stage. Gasping at the scene, she wondered what attracted the pokemon to the city. After she promptly snapped a photo, she was asked to leave. She realized she already spent thirty minutes on that and needed to catch up. In order to meet the scheduled time, she got onto her pink bike and rode down slope.

"MOOOOOooooooVE AWAAAAAaaaaaY~~~" She warned as the bike uncontrollably brought her like a blast of wind, the brake semmed malfunctioned. "Ouch..." Her bike finally hit something and she fell off due to the crush like a pouncing bean. The petite girl dusted herself and read the sign in front of a poorly maintained structure. "Oh! Here it is!"

The lab was much smaller than she thought, compared to that in her home town. "Excuse me, is Professor Awesome here?" she knocked on the door and asked. Though startled to find others were there, from their dressing, she could tell they were not assistants. The petite coordinator spotted one girl shaking the white lab-coat figure while there was another door not that far from her position.

As the figure didn't seem to wake up in a minute, she decided to check what inside that door first. It turned out to be a computer and stuff-

- I found a way to capture it.

Shu quickly related the "it" to Yvetal, she'd clicked on the message, but she was late.Someone had been poking the keys and clicked on the message. Instead, she picked up one of the pokeball and threw it out to see if there was anything inside.

It would be good if any news arrived or the professor wake up, she would just wait patiently. Hopefully she could get things done before the meal time, starving pokemons were not a joke.

Lawrence was too wealthy to care much about pokemon, in spite of them being the central focus of the whole world he found the creatures on the whole uninteresting, tools simply to be used and cast aside, a means to an end. He found the constant drivel about caring for them, grooming them and training them tedious at best, proselytizing at worst. He went through pokemon like other people went through warm dinners and the only consistent companion he had was a strange banette which refused to leave him and managed to avoid the bulk of the cruelty he was capable of. His day job was in a fairly unethical pokemon laboratory, dealing with ways to effectively utilize the creatures, ranging from power plants to agriculture. It was simply by coincidence he was in town that day and stopping by the pokemon laboratory was simply an excuse to see what sort of facilities they had.

He was sorely disappointed with the state of the place and wrinkled his nose in disgust at the barely tolerable living conditions contained therin.

Was this the lab or had he simply wandered into a shelter for the homeless?

QUICK OOC
I RAN OUT OF TIME LINKING THE STARTING POKEMON, you can find them HERE

Baneful
Unfortunately for Zar, having a starting companion often depended on the reliability of professors, and on a reliability of Professor Oak to this one, his just wasn't and had forgotten entirely that it was even a tradition to locals.

Toshihiko Two

Thanks to Barth's well off background, his family obviously gifted him a Heirloom Eevee as his starting pokemon back in the day, an expensive creature with a high pedigree. Whether he kept it or left it at home like any other toy was another story entirely.

Thanks to the clicking and prodding the screen flashed and began to blare loudly and obnoxiously as a window promptedACCESS DENIED, PASSWORD? over and over.

Miliardo Kason

Sammy's persistent nature would have attracted the attention of some local Pokemon Rangers feeling rather sorry for her one day. She would find a pokeball with her name on it, a small gift tag wrapped around it, and the potential of having a Pikachu as her starting pokemon.

Upon being prodded the professor in the hammock, somehow managed to fall over, stand straight up so his weird not-quite-beard was on full display, stare straight at Sammy, and then directly fall back asleep.

Lady Mist
As a healer, it was natural that Lareina's starting pokemon, gifted kindly by her local professor, would have been a Chansey

iStoleYurVamps
Upon completing their Ranger introduction certification, Lure's starting pokemon would have of course been as adventurous as they were, a Charmander that one day had aspirations of flying

The Professor was indeed humanish. They had no intention of waking up, it seemed no combination of Awakening or Pokeflute would have done the job either. In their pocket, however, was a notebook that said SECRET STUFF ONLY.

kuumeii
A fiesty trainer, Iyari's starting pokemon would have naturally been a Torchick.

The note Iyari unfolded read "Dear Iyari, we've tried multiple times to contact Professor M, can you please do something about this, since you're about the only option we have in terms of trainers with Fly.

PS:

Good luck.

PPS: The password is bongoes.

iStoleYurVamps
Crimson, being an artist, of course had Smeargle as their starting pokemon

iStoleYurVamps
Elio's of course had a starting pokemon fitting of any team flare grunt: a poochyena who's bark was as worse as its bite.

cheshire
There was a mystery involving whether or not Gilly still had her starting pokemon. Some say it was flushed down a toilet accidentally and became a mutant, however, nobody really knows except for she herself as to it's true location. The Magikarp starting pokemon, however, was quite tenacious.

Black Magic Empress
Bing, being a creature of stealth, of course had a Meowth back when she first began as her starting pokemon

All of Bing's pokeballs were indeed in tact, though the patterns of some of them were similar to the designs of some stray empty pokeballs strewn around the room.

[A.V.]
Mimi, after the professor wasn't not much else to do with them, handed them a Popplio as their starting pokemon - and then ran out of the lab for some reason.

Surely enough, most of the buttons didn't respond at all. Some of them began to blare loudly but, considering the noise the computer was already making, did not accomplish much. More button pressing did begin to spew out a wide arrangement of pokeballs though - surely they couldn't actually be from the storage box?

Nothing Yet
After failing every single trainer personality test when Mimsy was starting off, the professor told Mimsy to go outside and capture a pokemon for themselves. That was of course, when she found a lovely Drifloon that captured her - literally - though she did return a week later mostly in one piece with her new "Starting Pokemon".

Rikku Takanashi
Camilla was no stranger to the Trainer handbooks, and even her local Professor knew that from a young age. She was considered quite gifted and given a tenacious starting pokemon: a Fennekin.

Meegane
Shu's starting pokemon was as sweet as her: a Growlithe which was as loyal as it was aggressive

Baneful
A long time ago, someone had left a starting pokemon as a gift for Lawr, but the Ditto came with no message or meaning, and was perhaps best lost to time

Throwing the pokeball revealed it to be empty. To be honest, it was probably entirely okay to borrow it for proper use on the permanent side. Some trainers liked to search trash cans, others just found them naturally, after all (a lot of Professor's favourite hobbies were to buy as much as their budget would allow them, and hide them in the strangest of places including rock tunnels, crowded beaches, fishing spots in the middle of nowhere, and of course, ledges that could only be obtained by having specific pokemon with specific moves).

Ranger Diana
Team: Chandelure, Castform, Xatu, Flygon, Whimsicott, Sceptile
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not being from around the Lumiose area, Diana was a bit lost in the big city. It was vastly different from Fortree City. Fortree was made of trees. There were trees as far as the eye could see. Lumiose was lucky to have some planted shrubs and small trees around. She'd been tasked with delivering a note to the local professor, but whether or not she would actually be able to locate them...well that was another thing entirely. There were too many people around, too many sounds. Things Diana was not used to at all. Overall she was relieved when she finally located the lab she was supposed to be going to. Arriving had been trouble by itself, but once inside Diana was unsure if she should even be there.

They weren't the only ones there for one thing, on top of that the professor. Well the the professor was something. She could only hope that once she delivered the message she would be done and headed out to her original destination before making her trip back home.

Crimson-Artist//Team: Smergle, Scyther, Scrafty//By Computers

Crimson eyeballed the computer set up with a sort of detached appreciation. It took skill to get things to work like that. And well. He was half tempted to frame it and call it abstract. While the woman might not have thought so, what little Crimson did use of computers was that motsly for function not form. ANd the beast that was before them-

"Ever seen a multicolored Muk? They might smell worse than this fermented abode, but, they are quite interesting. In fact, I once read of an artist who uses oils on their bodies to make the most unique prints."

The painter did sigh loudly, looking at the screen as it flickered, demanding a password.
"Likely. I was to deliver a note but I don't really fancy it much. Curiosity got the better of me so- here I am. I am Crimson. A pleasure." Hand held out, the color stains remained fixed on his skin.

Hi Mimi!

Baneful

Name: Melvin Wood
Profession: Researcher (ancient runes)

---------------

Melvin stared at the mess before him, thinking about what the appearance of professionalism and what it had deteriorated into in this room. They couldn't all be bleached-white, towering pillars of excellence leading the way into modern advances in the ever expanding field of pokemon. That is unless this man was somehow one of those "interesting" curiosities that somehow popped out genius revelation after the next.

Regardless, he was far from the scientist back home on the islands.

Adjusting his coat, he looked down at the bottles and one girl helping to pick them up. Deciding that he couldn't hold any conversation in the state it was in, and hoping not to expose any passing children to the wonders of alcoholism with all it's decorative wonders, he went and dragged over a trash can and proceeded to help Mimi.

"I wonder if his Aide quit." Unless the Aides were fetching more booze for the wineo or out avoiding the mess entirely. The note felt important in his pocket and he looked up as other trainers were working before rising up to drop some bottles into the trash and look over at Lawr.

"You think for all the trouble of directing the ship here we would have been expected." He took a handkerchief to wipe off his hands. "There doesn't seem to be any Aides to help take the messages. We might be expected to return something back."

Pulling out the letter, he turned it over in his hand and then looked at the drunken man.

Elio, Team Flare Grunt, Only Poochyena and Zubat because Grunt
By Prof

Watching the professor get up, stare at the woman who'd actually made the good college try at poking them- Elio gave a shrug and figured if the man wasn't going to wake up by normal means? Then he'd just use a more non traditional way to rousing the drunk.
Flinging the pokeball down, the Poochyena that came out let out a small yip before it was picked up by the scruff of it's neck.

"Okay buddy. See that?" Elio pointed to the man. "You want to play? Yeah? Yeah? Play time? Yeah?" The canine pokemon began to wiggle and squirm as it clearly got more excited.

"Poochyena, use bite." He chucked the literal 'bite pokemon' at the sleeping professor, expecting either a very happy pokemon thinking it was playtime- or getting in trouble with his boss for 'attacking someone under the pretense of having them play with your dang mutt again.'

"Oh, here." He pulled out a bottle of hand sanitizer and offered it to the woman who's physically touched the professor. They could catch something.

[ Camilla Forester ]
[Roster: Delphox, Dedenne, Hawlucha, Meowstic(Female), Talonflame, and Aegislash. ]

To say Camilla and Mimi were startled was a understatement. The pare jump and leap back from the computer only to nearly bump into the professor! Whirling around to look at the unkempt professor and his impressive, furry, beard, they both tilt their heads as he simple crawled back into his hammock and went back to sleep... How could he sleep with all this noise?

Mini was pulling her ears down looking quite unhappy as the alarm continued to blare and Camilla herself was not keen on the noise either... Finally, the smell, the noise, it was all too much for the pare and when Mimi took off for the exit, Camilla had to follow suit! "Wait up Mimi!" she shouts as she chases after the mouse Pokemon. Once the pare were outside and could breath in the fresh clean air, Camilla decides she might as well read the missive she'd been given. Sure, reading letters meant for other people was morally wrong, (and illegal,) but the professor sure didn't seem interested in it...

It took a few minutes of debate and, some Dedenne encouragement, before she finally pulls the letter out and breaks the seal... Being curious at heart, and seeing as she'd already caught sight of the message on the professor's computer, Camilla couldn't resist seeing what her letter said.

Zoobey
I hope it's ok to say that her Fennekin has already evolved into a Delphox at this point, if not I can change that.

The movement of balls being thrown and the general jostling of the sleeping professor made her glance back up at the incoming crowd, looking back over the note and blinking. "Professor M?" She looked over to where the fuzzy... thing? was at. "Bongoes?" She almost face-palmed and shook her head at reading the password. Though she felt proud that someone knew her talent, it seemed like they had anticipated her reading it in the first place, which made her wonder, but her curiosity took hold and she pushed off of the wall she was leaning on. Taking a step, she nearly slipped on a Pokeball and groaned loudly to the nearest person, but rather than dwell she marched towards the people by the computer, looking between them to the angry monitor which had turned into a miniature air raid siren.

Her eye twitched.

"Ah, move. Move!" She commanded, pushing her way through the little group to be closer to the computer. Quickly, she grabbed the keyboard over. "Time to shut this thing up and see what this was all about." She shot a glance back at the people in the room, clearing her throat loudly to get their attention, but was certain it fell on deaf ears considering all the commotion and blaring computer noises. All of this for this M guy? Internally there was the worry that the "it" of the titled message was referring to a brand of beer or something of the like and she grimaced, but tapped quickly. Carefully, she entered the password "bongoes" into the computer and pressed enter...

The result of the prodding was unexpected, the machine began to create deaftening loud noises that resembled an alarm. The petite coordinator was startled and forgot the pick up the pokeball she tossed away. She blinked her eyes several times before a bossy girl rudely stepped in. She typed "bongoes" into the computer Shu could see.

Shu didn't have a liking towards that girl, she reminded her too much the mean people she met where she picked her Mimikyu. Feeling glad it wasn't with her to see that, she walked out the room and returned to the professor. The figure remained the same pose but she spotted something fell from their pocket, she picked it up and checked it out.

Maybe she could find a name and return it to the owner?

Oh no, meal time's coming soon, when the professor would wake up so that she could finish her job as a delivery girl.

Not sure it's paper-made book or computer. I know it probably has nothing to do with the plot, but the word "secret" caught me.

[ By computer || Team: Chansey, ]

User ImageA perfectly neutral poker face was worn tightly on Lareina's face at the outstretched hand for just a moment while she worked up the courage to grab it. That paint was dried, right? They weren't touching anything really dirty, right?!

If her short time in the room had been any indicator, Lareina wasn't a particularly good healer. Oh sure, she had plenty of skills: She could craft potions, had memorized hundreds of Pokemon anatomy, all the skills that would make her a valuable asset to any PokeCenter. Yet no center would dare hire one such as she who, since entering this room, had ignored someone who likely could use a healing touch at this point, had cringed upon the idea of getting dirty, and who could scarce lay a comforting hand on anyone's shoulder. Her empathy could certainly use some work if she wanted to be a truly good healer.

"A pleasure, Crimson. I'll leave the Muk and oils to others, I think." Lareina mentally recoiled, shaking her head. "Though it does sound like you know a fair bit in the artistic field. Have you experience there?"

Unaware of the computer's password being available, she gave a small shrug; it would be strange for a professor's computer to be left unguarded, she supposed. Perhaps it had a whole host of securities, with the most complex code system that had to be deciphered and--

Someone had forcefully grabbed the keyboard and tapped in what looked like an intentional word, startling the medic, "Do you work here?" She was about ready to find any of the professor's assistance to unleash a host of complaints.

Aoe Shiki

[Team: Vulpix, Shiny Zorua, Eevee, Meowth and shinx]

Shiki had been wandering for a long time. He had picked up a few pokemon in his travels though for the most part they had kind of stumbled on him. He still had no idea what he was doing, and he trusted on the pokemon to help him. His closest traveling companion was his Shiny Zorua who he let out to bounce around him from time to time.

It was through wandering that he ended up at a lab. He had rarely been around the labs and other buildings but this one was rather enticing. He walked inside and stared at the strangeness of the empty room. Or rather a room that could have been empty but seemed to have hidden secrets.

Shiki gave a bit of a sigh as he thought of the legendary pokemon it had flown overhead a while ago, and he had nearly wanted to scream in joy. That was likely the reason he had wandered into this lab.

He looked around slowly and then noticed that there was a message flashing. Wait, a way to capture... capture that legendary? Yvetal, it was such a surprisingly majestic figure. If there was a way to capture it, he wanted to be part of it. Shiki had a strange group of canine and foxlike pokemon but he was not sure that there was a way to capture something that powerful with his team.

Shaking off his thoughts he looked around at the room again, before walking to the computer. It seemed that someone had already entered a password into it, and he moved to join the figure that he had somehow missed before. He stood on his toes, still not really tall enough to see the screen but trying. He jumped a time or two before letting out a sigh and waiting for the other to move slightly so he could see.

"Uh, sorry, I.. well I am curious as to if there was any information on how we are supposed to try and catch that Legendary." His voice was small and piping but had energy. Shiki then shuffled his feet a bit and looked around again. Maybe something important was left in the trash?

"Bartholomew," Barth introduced himself. "And no, I haven't," he responded, re: the issue of authorization. Thankfully someone was pressing something that looked promisingly like the password. "But I thought it was, perhaps, an emergent situation. With the mess outside."

He did still have his Eevee (named Handsome) who was completely unevolved and used for nothing resembling fighting whatsoever. It was also on the fat side.

In general, Barth liked pokemon, with the exception of the electrical ones. It was like being a baker and enjoying having an ant collection. They were always going straight for the wiring.

Rodney made it into the lab, breathless and frazzled from the crowd outside. People were panicked. And rough. And he didn't want to go outside again. He sat against a wall to recover some of his composure instead.

He liked events. Friendly ones, like festivals, just not...competition. Or whatever was outside.

He was an artist, not a battler!

Pokemon were brave, loyal...and it was these traits he looked for when he carved his statues of them. Calm and kind guardians. Gentle companions, even (and sometimes especially) the ones that were in memoriam. Sometimes he'd be commissioned to make the image of a champion, but most of his requests were for cemeteries.

But...the one outside. He'd never seen anything like it, and, the aura...he....didn't know if it was kind. He...didn't like it.
