Xavier's brows had risen as he watched Amonee's grey cheeks flush with jade. While he didn't want the other to feel bad by pressuring him, the gem cutter gave his painter companion a strange look as he began laughing. Dismissing there was no one actually despite his initial words. Xavier wondered if perhaps Amonee wasn't telling him the truth, but the shorter jadeblood respected the other for what it was worth.

Although he didn't have to wait long, without much more prompting he soon clued him into the general idea of what his problem was on the subject. Turning his attention to the other, he looked to Amonee as he groaned in dismay, and dramatically flopped back. " I don't mean to make yuh dwell on it." He expressed sitting back as he draped one of the large blankets he'd had since he was a wee wiggler. Looking to the other he drew the other close in a comforting gesture. "But, You never know until you try right?" Xavier explained gently with a thoughtful look.

"If yuh really want, try and tell him how you feel? Unless you think that's not what they really want? Pump biscuits are complicated. But, follow yours too." Xavier encouraged as he closed his eyes momentarily. "If I have learned anything when the ladders fell...was to tell those you care for how you feel before a thousand moments pass you by.” He bit down on his bottom lip then.

"Aha...Sorry, I just want the best for everyone I guess. What's important is you stand by those who are important no matter the weather.” He looked to the television worried he was taking this too seriously. However, it was important Amonee knew he supported him regardless.

Xavier watched the way the other blinked at him, it brought a light hearted chuckle from Xavier. It wasn't like he was trying for groundbreaking; Xavier just wanted to help his jadeblood even if it didn't mean anything to him. It was just a suggestion after all. The smaller jadeblood would never have learned to play music, or cut gems if he's decided to simply sit back and never try. Everyone and thing in his life was a result of having made the choice to reach out. "Don't rush it of course not, it sounds like slow and steady is the best. Exactly yuh!" Xavier nodded thoughtfully in agreement. He had a feeling he knew who Amonee was talking about..but for now he would not push him until the other boy confirmed his suspicions another time.

As the other ruffled his hair and not only thanked him, but called him sweet Xavier's laughter following was bright and almost child-like from the other boy’s antics. "Hey! Yuh know it's just because I care!" He tried to defend himself although the effort was minimal. "You have such a big heart, an amazing eye for detail. It's the least I can do." Xavier in turn snuggled into the other comfortably as he exhaled happily. Sometimes Xavier worried Amonee would wind up in an emotional ditch, lost and confused as to how he'd arrived there (no matter how capable his friend was.)

"One step at a time. That’s for sure." He mused. If he took things one at a time, life wasn't nearly so overwhelming. It helped he never was truly alone, Xavier had realized that at an early age. His moirail had been, and always would be a positive addition to his life.

Xavier held Amonee a little tighter for a moment before relaxing at his side. The other jadeblood was lost in thought while they hung out before taking Nucleo his stew.
