Aiyana inclined her head softly as Eve spoke, this mare seemed like a very kind soul. She didn't blame her for not wanted to interrupt the ceremony she had just done, knowing she would have felt the same way if their positions had been reversed. The pink haired mare had a lot of respect for different ceremonies, knowing it was an important part of life. She listened as they other explained how she liked to move around, going wherever the land called her. It was something she was familiar with, but she was glad to finally have a home to call her own. She didn't mind going some where occasionally, but having a home meant so much to her. Then she looked down at little Wraith as he asked if she was expecting and she smiled.
"You are definitely an inquisitive one. I guess you like to learn about all you can, why you like seeing interesting things. I prefer things that are quiet and calm,"Yamka spoke up from Aiyana's curls.
"It is alright, I do not mind answering at all. Yes, my mate and I are expecting some little ones. I am not sure how many, but I believe it is more than one. This would be my first babies, so my love and I are very excited. Oh and as for traveling, I used to do that, before settling near here,"she replied.

Wraith lifted wide, dark eyes to Yamka. "I do like experiencing everything life has to offer. Not so much for the learning part, but I do get to have fun." His whiskers twitched as grinned back at Aiyana. "As you should be! Babies are amazing! I remember when Eve had hers. I had lots of fun with them around." The ferret then turned to face his bonded and, without batting an eyelash, said, "You should have more of them."Eve chuckled softly to herself, gently shaking her head. "One day perhaps. But there is more to it than that." Her features softened even more as she gazed at the obviously pregnant white and blue mare. "You are in for a lovely treat when your little ones arise. It is perhaps the greatest blessing that a mare can experience. Although, there are times when it can grow worrisome and tiring." Eve spoke with the wisdom of a single mother, having raised her children on her own due to Barachiel being in and out of the picture, mostly out. She was pleased to hear that the younger mare had a mate whom would stick around and help. "But you are lucky in that your mate will help in such matters."

"You are very right, babies are a wonderful blessing, little one. And I agree, it will be both a wonderful thing, but also can have its concerns to being a mother. I just hope that I can be as wonderful a mother as I remember my own to have been. It sounds like you learned a lot when you yourself was pregnant, hopefully I will learn as well. And yes, I am grateful I have my Star to help me now and when the babies arrive. I also have my adopted brother, who I am sure will keep an eye out for them. Did you also have a mate to help or am I asking too much?"Aiyana asked. Somehow the thought occurred to her that the father of Eve's babies had not really been in the picture.

The purple and black mare nodded sagely. "You will learn as time progresses. Being a mother is partially instinct, partially learning as they grow along. I did not know many things when I had my son and daughter. For my mother was not always around, so I had to learn on my own." A kind smile touched her lips, reaching up to her glowing eyes. Aiyana was certainly lucky to have so many to help her when the time arrived. She is certainly blessed in ways that I was not. Eve huffed lightly at the thought. Her family was not really around for her to learn from them. She had only recently found her brother who definitely didn't understand the concept of children. While he had slowly grown accustomed to the little ones, he was lacking in many of the same ways as Eve. "Ah...well..." The mare's ears pricked forward when Aiyana asked about her children's father. A mild blush crept upon her cheeks and she lowered her gaze. "He's not in the picture much." Wraith answered for her, chasing after a cricket that he had discovered among the grass. "He's a big flirt." "Wraith." Eve chastised him with breathy sigh. "What have I told you about saying such things?" Meeting the blue and white mare's eyes, she added, "Barachiel and I were never truly mates. Not like you and yours anyway. We spent some time together and I bore children. But he did not stay with me after, though he did not completely vanish from our lives."

Aiyana listened to the other mare, giving a soft nod of her head as she was told that she would learn as she went. She could only hope her motherly instincts would kick in enough to guide her. A sadness came to her eyes when the other mentioned her mother was not always around for her. The pink haired mare knew she was lucky that her mother had been very prevalent in her and her sisters' lives. True, that fire had taken her family when she was still young, but at least she had memories of her parents. She definitely knew that she wanted to be like them. Then as Eve seemed to hesitate on the father of her children, her little bonded came out with it.
"I am glad to hear he still looks in on you and your children. It means that he does care, even if he did not want to stay with you. I truly hope that you find a person who does want to be with you. Of course, that is assuming you haven't already,"Aiyana spoke up. She was glad she actually has someone who wants her and loves her so much, and she loves him too.

"Yes...well...Barachiel is as the wind. He does not linger long in any one location. I count myself lucky that I was able to experience a night with him, even if he does only commit himself to seeing the children once in a blue moon." Eve drew in a breath and let it out slowly. "Such is the price of meeting a wisp such as he. For all of his faults, however, he gave me two of the most glorious of blessings that could be bestowed unto me. I would not trade the outcome of that encounter for anything." The elder mare then smiled softly back at the expectant mother. "Perhaps I shall find the love you possess one day. For now, I content myself with the simple pleasures of my travels, as well as the visits with my children."

"Well, it sounds like you managed to catch lightning in a bottle with that stallion. Someone who is not easy to contain, but makes it worth it when you can spend a bit of time with him. I am glad you managed to have one nice night with him that granted you two wonderful children. That sounds like it was worth it, even if you do not see him very often. I am blessed I found someone who seems to click with me, who is like a part of me. I am not sure how to explain it, but it is almost like we are made for one another. I am sure, however, you must see quite a bit of stuff in your travels,"Aiyana replied.

Eve laughed mirthlessly, her gaze remaining gentle and kind. "I would say that you are the one who has caught lightning in a bottle. For, when it happens, the love that is felt is like no other in the world. It is something that only happens once in a lifetime and can never truly be replaced if released." Her glowing eyes shifted to the stars above as she thought over her relationship with Barachiel. "What I had with him...It was more akin to lightning striking a tree. While it also only happens once, it is because it cannot be captured or tamed. A fire that bursts forth but cools with the passing of time. It is a whim of the heavens so to speak. But--" She shook her head to clear her mind. "Such is the way of life. My travels have indeed allowed me to see much of the world and to understand the various fancies of those within it."

Aiyana thought about what Eve said about how it was her who truly caught lightning in a bottle. Truth be told, now that she thought about it, she had happened to catch two of those. Her mate and her brother, she was so very blessed to have them and the rest of their herd in her life. They may not be a very large herd yet, but there was a lot of love in it. A nod came from the pink haired mare, perhaps the other had just been lightning striking a tree. A chance of being where it struck, before it was gone again.
"I will agree, I am beyond blessed that I found my beloved and my brother. They and the whole herd have given me such joy and it is lightning I do not want to let go of. I do hope you will find your own lightning or fireflies in a bottle. I think you should have such a blessing yourself. Do you ever wish you could just settle down, instead of so much traveling?"Aiyana asked.

The purple and black mare quirked her head to one side at Aiyana's statement. "You are indeed very lucky then." Eve admitted with a gentle grin. "Perhaps, if we are discussing siblings as well, I have managed to capture such lightning once as well." Her facial features softened as she thought about her brother, Cedric, and where he currently resided. It had taken the might of a star to bring her back to him and for that, she could not be more thankful. "My brother and I were once separated from one another, you see, but now I have finally found him after so many years." She drew in a deep breath and let it out in a deep sigh. "As to the traveling..." Her eyes danced over to her bonded who was now trying to sneak his way up a branch in order to touch Yamka. "Wraith, come back down from there please." Her tone was firm yet caring when she called to him. The ferret flinched slightly upon being discovered, quickly obeying his bonded's request as he dashed back down the tree. "Awww Eve, I just wanted to touch the flying one!" He declared with a pitiful voice. Like that of a child being told they couldn't have dessert before dinner. "Perhaps if you would ask first, Yamka might lower himself closer for you to do such." Turning her gaze back to Aiyana, the mare thought about what she had been about to say. "I might consider settling down one day. But the spirits call to me and, where they call, I must follow for the time being."

Aiyana smiled softly, she couldn't argue with that, she really was quite lucky. When the other mentioned being blessed with siblings, she listened at Eve spoke about finding her own after awhile. That was definitely some lightning capturing indeed, though it made her think of her sisters. She wondered what it would be like if her sisters had survived the fire. Her eyes watered a little, her pawing at the ground softly as they did. Luckily, Wraith's antics distracted her as she looked to see him climbing the tree. A gentle laugh escaped as he explained wanting to look at Yamka.
"I am glad that you were able to find your brother, Eve. And maybe one day the spirits will lead you to a good place to call home. Yamka is fine with you getting to see her closely, if you want, Wraith,"she said gently.

Wraith's eyes lit up at Aiyana's words. "Yay!" He jumped up and down excitedly, going around in a small circle as he did so. "Can I, Eve?! Can I, can I? I want to touch the flying one! Pleeeease?" Eve's glowing eyes stared down at her bonded. A motherly smile graced her features as she looked to Yamka. "If Yamka is okay with it, then you may do so. But be gentle if she allows you to touch." She peeked back over at Aiyana. "He doesn't understand his own strength at times, particularly when he gets excited." The mare said by way of explanation. "If Yamka grows uncomfortable then I will call him back."Eve studied the young mare's altered demeanor. Her hooves pawing at the earth as what appeared to be tears filled her green eyes. "I have said something to make you sad." She stated simply. Perhaps it was the mention of my brother... "Forgive me. I did not mean to dredge up any painful memories." The purple and black mare fell silent for a moment before deciding that a change in subject might be the best course of action. "It is as you say. I believe that the spirits will guide me to a home when the time comes. For now, I cherish the moments I spend listening to their whimsy."

Aiyana allowed another gentle smile to reach her muzzle, seeing how excited Wraith got at the chance to see Yamka up close. She nodded her head to Eve as the other explained that her bonded did not know his own strength sometimes. As Yamka took wing, she watched her little bat flutter down to where Wraith could get a better look. Then the blue and white mare heard as the other apologized and she gave her a reassuring smile. She was happy for the other, but it had reminded her of her younger sisters. However that was not Eve's fault, she did not know that such thoughts would come to her mind.
"Do not worry, I know you had not meant to trigger such emotion from me. I had just been thinking about my sisters, wondering what it would be like if they had lived through the fire. Oh and Yamka is a tough little bat, but being gentle is appreciated. Well, you never know where the spirits may lead, they do have a funny way of answering us,"she laughed melodically.

Eve nodded as her silver eyes watched over her little bonded. "It is unnatural to lose a family member in such a manner. We often find ourselves questioning things that would otherwise be a moot point." She turned her head to gaze back at Aiyana. "Forgive me if I speak to bluntly. But, if your sisters were anything as you are, then I believe they would be bringing happiness to this land. We do not always know what the Spirits have in mind for us, and it certainly doesn't always make sense. Although, I believe that I am correct in saying that you would likely not have found your current happiness if the circumstances had been different." She chuckled lightly in agreement of the pink-haired mare's statement. "It is as you say, the Spirits have an interesting way of answering our pleas." Tilting her head back, Eve stared up at the moon which had made its way into the night sky. "It seems that I have kept you for far too long. The hour grows late." The purple and black mare sighed before turning a warm smile upon the other. "We should move along. I'm certain that your brother and mate will grow worried for you." She peered back at Wraith, whom was running circles around Yamka at the moment. "Teach me to fly!" He exclaimed with a leap, attempting to remain airborne. Next he tried to flap his paws in a mimic of the bat's wing movement only to fall on his face. The antics drew an amused laugh from Eve before she decided to step in lest he hurt himself. "Wraith, it is time to go." "Awww...but Eeeeve!"

Aiyana nodded it was not a usual way to lose a family member, even less likely to take more than one. Her words about how her sisters would have done a lot of good in the world did make a smile smile come to her lips. That would not surprise her at all, they would have made wonderful contributions, she truly believed that. Before any more tears could escape from her eyes, Eve spoke about how her present happiness would not have happened without the previous events in her life. It was hard to argue with that, as she herself said, the spirits worked in mysterious ways. Yes, perhaps all of that needed to happen for her to appreciate what she had here. It also led her to want to help others find a place to call home, just as she had needed. When the other mentioned needed to go, she felt kind of sad, she had enjoyed the other's company. However, Eve was right, Hoshi and Star would be very worried if she didn't get home.
"Yes, I really should get back to my herd, before the boys come drag me back themselves. I thank you for your lovely company, it was greatly appreciated. Anytime that the spirits may lead you this way again, feel free to come visit. Just go east from here and you will eventually come to a flower meadow. That is where I am most often then not, as long as I am not away from the herd,"she explained gently.
"I am sorry, Wraith, but my body is made specially for flying. Now go on, you should get going, before you get left behind. I am sure we will see each other again,"Yamka replied gently. She flew back up to land back in Aiyana's pink curls.
