SwordOfTheDarkOnes

Shesha walked forward a couple of steps before he lifted up a hand to poke Aqio in the chest as the other asked him what he was going to do now, "I don't know... I suppose I could just leave you here for a while. Let you bask in the sun and think on what you did. Silly little fish... not even attempt to escape... or are you just the least dexterous of the assassins in your guild?" He asked in a taunting manner, unable to help but tease Aqio a bit. There was just something about him that made Shesha always want to poke at him a bit, to see if he could get a reaction from him.

Turning around he started to walk away, curious as to whether or not Aqio would follow. He wasn't so foolish as to think that he wouldn't be able to escape, not when he was using the weakest spell in his arsenal to hold him captive. There were many things that he could do to trap him for real, but this was just meant to be a game. Were the other to come at him full force and will killing intent he'd met him with the same thing in turn. Presently though it was just the two of them butting heads and testing one another, something that he was having fun with.

"I think I might go inside and get a drink... are you staying here then, little fish?"

Aqio used his sword to quickly cut the roots away as he strode forward. "I was testing you." he covered up his moment of shock with a bluff. "Its not like you do that all the time." he chuckled as he walked in stride with the other.

"So, did you want me to make the tea this time?" another set of skills he had been working on was basic housekeeping. Cooking and the like. Mostly because he felt the need to busy himself while his mind wanted to whirl. "I've been learning from the estate servants how to at least fend for myself since I was a youngling."

Shesha turned, glancing over his shoulder as he heard Aqio make his escape, before giving a grin, "Oh? You were testing me, hm? I wonder, should I be upset with you about that? I suppose that I can let it slide for now." Were Aqio actually his personal assassin then he might be a little miffed over the idea of him testing his master but as it was they weren't in that sort of relationship yet. Now it was a whole lot of push and pull and the testing of one another. They were still feeling each other out, which would likely allow them to possibly become more comfortable with one another in the future... though at the same time Shesha didn't quite want that sort of thing to happen. Getting too comfortable also meant getting complacent after all.

"Tea?" Giving a thoughtful sound he nodded before he said, "Sure, though given the weather today I will be using my magic to cool mine off. Let me know if you'd like me to do the same with yours." A nice tea that was chilled with an ice spell was wonderful on a day like today he thought to himself as he headed inside, leading the way to where the kitchen was located, allowing Aqio free run of it.

As they entered the room he gave a bit of a chuckle as he said, "There are many things I've learned over the years but to be honest kitchen work was never one of them. A task that I can allow you to take over so long as you promise that at least for today that you won't be poisoning anything? It's too nice a day to die an excruciating death." Settling down on a stool that sat near one of the high counters he set to neatening up his hair while allowing Aqio to do as he would.

Aqio was quick to chuckle as he took off all his belts then viels. Showing that he was only down to his shorts and top the youth turned slowly for Shesha to look him over. "No possible way for me to retrieve a hidden poison without you seeing."

He teased the other as he moved about to get the kettle and prep the tea. As he worked the youth looked over to Shesha. "So, how's your training coming along?"

It was silly to try and talk like they were friends, but it was important for him to at least inquire.

Shesha tilted his head to one side, watching as Aqio rid himself of unnecessary belts and veils. Those sorts of things would likely just be in the way as far as preparing tea went, huh? It also went to show that he was trying to prove that he wasn't in the poisoning mood? That or he was just trying to throw Shesha off guard... he supposed that today was a day where he might just have to trust that he wasn't here for that reason. Was he even old enough to get such a mission yet?

As he was asked about his own training he gave a little smile and said, "It's going well, of course! I can't really slack off too often as far as it's concerned given I need the magic I wield to be powerful. If its not impressive enough to net myself a cushy position later on then what's the point, right?" He actually did enjoy using magic, finding that it could make for a better and easier life for himself. He wasn't content with that though, feeling that he was already far off track from where he needed to be. He needed to back to it or else he was going to end up forgotten... which would mean his entire life was for nothing at all.

Sighing a bit he said, "Once I wield even more powerful magic my reputation should grow... but at times it feels it's taking far too long. A sentiment that you likely share."

Aqio smiled as he set the tea to heat up before sitting on a chair near it. "That is one feeling I believe we have in common, my future employer." he teased the other as he crossed his legs. "The tea will be warm in a few minutes." The swordsmen looked to his twin swords, picking up one as he looked over it. The handle was bird-like, a testimony to his goal of being as fast as the wind.

"Things were so much more simpler when I was oblivious to evil..." he muttered before looking off into the window. "I'll be happier to have something more steady under my feet when training is done."

It really was such a bother, wasn't it? The part in the middle that stood between Shesha and his dreams. The same sort of bit that was standing between Aqio and his dream as well. Resting lazily in his seat he said, "So... I'm your future employer, huh? When did that come to pass, little fish?" Was it a ploy to get his attention or something? Perhaps he was starting to realize that Shesha was going to become something great one day and because of that he wanted to be the shadow of such a person? He liked the sound of that but he somehow doubted it was that exactly. It was probably something else, maybe a task by his guild to find a potential master and Shesha was the only choice he had save for maybe the Beast Lord?

As the other mention how things were simpler when he was oblivious to evil he couldn't help but to stare for a moment. What a naive person to think it was better to be oblivious. That just left a person open to being taken by that evil, though he supposed that part Aqio must knew well as well since he was the pet to the Beast Lord for some time. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "You should have chosen a different path in life, little fish. Given what you are now it's very well possible that you're going to become that evil one day. Not as though people hire assassins only to get rid of bad guys, that's a knight's job after all." In this moment Aqio seemed rather childish, didn't he? Something that made Shesha almost pity him.

Rising to his feet he walked over to where Aqio stood, lifting a hand to pet him as one might a frazzled pet and said, "I suppose once I am your master I can take hold of your reins and prevent at least a bit of your pain... though you'd be best to remember that I am a very selfish man. What happens when I decide to point you and your blades at someone one day? Perhaps you'd be better to ally yourself with someone that has a softer heart then I do? Some foolish healer like the one your twin keeps, perhaps?"

Aqio leaned into the other's touch, looking up as he took in the male's words. His claim a few moments ago was clear to the youth. He would serve this mage, he would see him rise. He was content to stay in the shadows. This was the fate he chose for himself. He wasn't feeling his path was set until he made the choice to serve Shesha. He chuckled as he looked up at the other. "I made my choice, to become your shadow and blade."

He nodded. "When that day comes, I'll put my own feelings to the side to serve you to the best of my ability." he was content to keep his face resting in the others touch till he heard the kettle. Standing he smiled at Shesha. A part of him wanted to give the other a soft kiss to the cheek, though he did incline his head. "Ah, here we go..."

He poured them both a cup, offering one to Shesha. "Tea."

Shesha starred at Aqio for a long moment as the other said that he'd 'made his choice' before he gave a lazy shrug, "I am not about to look a gift janarim in the mouth, so I suppose I will take it." He'd have time to watch him, to see if it was a trick or not, and figure out if the other was just going about another mission from his guild. For the time being he would take it and he would enjoy the company since he had been rather bored of late. He was sick of being at home alone, wanted to go to more parties, and until he could talk the 'old man' into such a thing he supposed Aqio was his best source of company and entertainment.

As Aqio said that when the day came he would put aside his feelings to serve him he gave a bit of a smirk, "I suppose that we will see one day, won't we? If you are able to do it." There was that part of him that wanted to be really cruel, to ask if he would choose Shesha over that twin of his if the choice arose, but he didn't. Today had been a fairly nice day so he didn't want to ruin it with 'what ifs' of that magnitude since Aqio still seem naive in some aspects. As the kettle began to sing and Aqio moved away from him he went to settle down in his seat once more.

Tea was handed over to him and he took a sip, giving him a nod, "I am impressed. I think I will enjoy keeping you, little fish." He murmured over his cup, giving him a little wink.
