"Hide and seek? Not really... if only because when I was little I was too scared to play a game like that. I much preferred to stick close to my family so I was pretty bad at that game." He said with a little smile. As she asked if he had sister he nodded his head, "Yeah, I have two sisters, Jhana and Shima, they are quite wonderful, very strong and brave, especially compared to me." He wished that he had their strength, especially Shima who appeared as though she was afraid of nothing. As the big snaptrotter came closer, sniffing Subira down to make sure she was alright, he gave a smile. The beast was very protective, just as Bruin could be, which was a good thing. It was always good to have a beast there at one's side to help keep an eye out for danger. He supposed that she probably didn't have to worry too much though, not when her mother was nearby as well. Not to mention that they were in town at the moment which was an added layer of security for the youngling.

Hearing that Jerami had sisters Subira brightened up, if at all possible, and came out from under his dress so that she could stare up at him with envy. "Wow! Are they older than you?" They had to be right? Otherwise there would be younglings at Jerami's feet and not just her! Besides if they were braver than him they couldn't be little! The fluffy haired Alk child moved to once again wrap her arms around Jerami and cling to him. The look in her pure black eyes something akin to admiration. "I wish I had sisters! I could have someone to play with!" Other than Matlal. There was only so much the snaptrotter could do. "Oh! You can be my sister! We can play all the time! My mommy can be with your mommy and it'll be fun!" Subira was used to her own family dynamic so she didn't understand that not everyone had a single mother.

Jerami gave a nod of his head, "They are older then me by a little bit of so I gather. Our lotuses all bloomed on the same day, one after the other, and revealed the lot of us." From what he gathered it wasn't something that happened often, triplets. His mothers had been blessed by Aisha just as Drexl's fathers had been, a grand couple of blessings that happened near to one another or so he would guess since he and Drexl were fairly close in age. "Sisters can be fun... though at times I worry that I can't quite keep up with them." As she mentioned Jerami being her sister he couldn't help but to smile. It sounded nice, but would she feel the same when Jerami's path became that of an Earthling instead of an Alkidike? He couldn't really say but he hoped that it wouldn't be as bad as it could have been, the zealots that disliked people like him had been sent away after all. Maybe... maybe he was worrying over nothing? He could hope so at least. Giving her a smile he said, "I don't mind keeping you company when I can... as for hooking our moms up I don't believe it would work. My mom is already with someone else after all." He wasn't sure which of his mothers the little one might be referring to but he'd guess she meant his Alkidike mother?

They all bloomed the same day!? Three lotuses!? Subira's eyes widened with awe. "Aisha must really love your mommy." Can you imagine? What if her mother had been given three flowers at the same time? As Jerami expressed his worry she tilted her head at him. "What do you mean?" Were they faster than him? He could always practice how to run fast. "And your mommy has someone? Wow. You're lucky! My mommy doesn't." Subira thought that sometimes her mother looked lonely but she couldn't be sure since Ariya always smiled around her. "Mm, okay! I can keep you as a friend then, right?"

Jerami gave a nod of his head, "Yeah, I'm sure that Aisha does." There in lay his biggest worries, but it wasn't something that he wanted to think on too hard right now. He wanted to enjoy the time with Subira since talk with her was a nice, refreshing change of pace. He felt that the biggest thing he would miss about not going on the path of an Alkidike was the chance at maybe being able to have a lotus of his own in the future... but there were many other ways to have little ones he supposed. "Hm? Oh! Well, they are just far more boisterous then I am. My sister Shima especially. I see her going on grand adventures one day that I could only dream of." He wondered if maybe she'd let him tag along? If he did go the path of a magic user he'd be able to use the powers to heal her and keep her safe after all. As Subira asked him about if she could keep him as a friend he smiled and said, "If you would have me." He didn't mind having Alkidike friends, both those of full blood and otherwise as was the case with Drexl and his family. The more friends the merrier no matter where they came from was the way that Jerami looked at it.

"Boister.. erovus? Huh?" Subira was clearly confused by the word that he chose to use, though as he said that Shima would go on grand adventures she tilted her head. "Ohhhhh!" Her hold on his legs got a little bit tighter as she grinned up at him, once more showing off her missing teeth in her smile. "I can keep you forever!" Jerami might not look like the average Alkidike but he was an alk to her. Besides, Subira had been told by her mother that there were some that were hybrids. Whatever that meant. "Do I have to keep Bruin too? Feathers tickle." The little one looked at the kinfa for a moment and giggled.

Jerami gave a little chuckle, "Ahh... let's see... it means excitable. Shima is definitely that." He said, giving a little smile as he thought about his sister who wanted to go to all manner of dangerous places. Oba first, and more recently it was the dead forest she was obsessed with. If it meant keeping her safe he would learn magic so he could tail her when she went to such places. "Keep me forever, huh? That is nice of you to think you would want to keep me so long as your friend." He told her before he glanced over at Bruin, giving a little smile, "Well, how about I keep Bruin, you keep me, and Maty keeps you?" Along line of one being kept by the other... and Bruin just being in charge of everything! At least that was what Jerami was sure the bird would be thinking at least.

There was another grin from her and she stood on her tip toes to wrap her arms around Jerami's waist as she clung to him. "Of course! Friends are forever! That's what mommy says." Subira didn't know how long forever was, but she knew it was a very long time and that made her happy in this instance. As he explained the chain of who was keeping who she looked at the bird then back before nodding her head. "Sounds good! Feathers make me giggle." It was a curse. Or at least she thought so. Her mother would tickle her with feathers all the time and there was no escaping them! "That's why I don't have any in my hair like some other sisters." She let go of his waist long enough to point to her fluffy mess.

"Your mother sounds like a very smart woman." Jerami said, glad to hear that she was learning such good lessons from her mother. The more people who thought in that manner and were accepting of those who were of mixed heritage were needed in the world. It might mean that one day people wouldn't have to worry about being seen as strange just because they were different. Giving her a smile he said, "You should hold that lesson close to your heart, Subira since it's a very important one." Giving a little laugh he gave a nod, "Feathers care be quite ticklish." He agreed as he reached out, petting Bruin's head, finding the feathers to be quite soft but he also knew that they could be ticklish as well. Giving Subira's hair a glance he smiled, "Ohhh, is that why you don't wear them? Well, there are other pretty things to wear. I've seen really pretty rings that some sisters wear in their hair or pretty rings that dangle from the bottom of them. So you needn't worry that you can't wear the feathers."

There was a nod before she spoke excitedly, "She is! She is!" Though Subira might be a little biased when it came to her mother. As Jerami told her to keep that close to her heart she giggled. Of course she would! Then he agreed with her about feathers. It wasn't that she didn't like them but she had discovered that even though she was ticklish she wasn't fond of it. It was a weird sensation. So when he looked at her fluffy mess of hair and said that there were other things she could wear in her hair she tilted her head. "Really? Maybe I can ask my mommy for some." She wanted to have decorations in hr hair like some of the other sisters. Then the little one reached up to try and reach Jerami's hair. "What about you? Are you gonna wear feathers or rings?" Subira lifted up onto her tip toes and grabbed the bottom of a curl so she could wrap it around her finger. "I think pretty feathers would look pretty." She declared.

Lifting a hand up he rand his finger tips through his flowing hair for a moment before he said, "I' not sure actually. I can't exactly do the bands since my hair refuses to stay in dreadlocks. My mother said she tried to do our hair when we were little but it was just too fine and refused to cooperate... feathers might work though." They didn't require the dreads after all and even if he was unable to walk the path of an Alkidike he could at least wear feathers in his hair. Provided of course that everything went smoothly going forward. "I might go with the feathers so long as I can find some really pretty ones. I hear that the firebirds of Sauti have the prettiest feathers... so maybe I should look for one of those?" It might be a bit tough since he'd never been to Sauti but maybe someone in the marketplace knew where he might be able to find a firebird feather? If not one of those then some brightly colored kinfa feathers, perhaps?

Firebirds of Sauti? Subira didn't know where Sauti was but she knew of the firebird! "Wasn't that the bird that saved the mystic?" Her mother had told her the tale. Though that mystic was gone now. She tapped her bottom lip with her finger a few times. "I don't remember her name.. Asela?" Her little shoulders lifted up in a shrug. "Mother said she went away long before I was born." It was a subject that she didn't talk about mostly because that particular mystic was gone but also because there was a new mystic that had bloomed not too long ago.

Jerami gave a nod of his head at the mention of the firebirds being the one that had saved a mystic in the past. Giving a bright smile he said proudly, "It was my uncle that went to get the feathers from Sauti! Not that he brags about such things... he's not really that sort of person, but still, I think it's neat that he was able to see the birds up close! Not to mention that he was able to get their help to save a life." He was sure many people only dreamed of being able to do such a thing in their life time. Giving a nod of his head Jerami said, "Yeah, I never saw the one that was saved by the firebirds either." He had no idea what had happened to her, it seemed to be a topic nobody talked about. He wondered if maybe she'd passed on and that was why a new mystic had been born from Aisha. Not a thought that he wanted to consider though so he steered the conversation back to avian once more, "I will let you know if I come across any of the feathers and try to get one of them for you if you'd like."

"Wow! Really?" So Jerami had an Uncle that did something great for a mystic? Not only was she impressed with the uncle but it made her look at Jerami with wide admiring eyes. More so than she already did. "That's so cool Jerami!" Topic of the mystic faded away when he mentioned bringing her a feather if she wanted. So Subira nodded her head emphatically. "Oooo that would be cool! I can keep it on my shirt or something." Just not in her hair. It would tickle her neck.

Jerami nodded, "I hope that I am able to do something even half that wonderful in my life." He wasn't sure if he would be able to but it was something that he wanted to at least try. To be able to help others sounded as though it would be a most wonderful way to spend his time... especially given the magical gift he'd been given. It was either a blessing or a curse, he wasn't really sure yet, but it was something that he felt he could use moving forward. Magic could be used to save others after all and that was what he wanted to use it for if at all possible. Giving a smile Jerami said, "Well, I will do my best to find you one and maybe figure out a way you can enjoy the feather without it trying to tickle you." He wasn't quite sure yet how to go about that but he'd see what he could do.
