Chervil smiled and nodded at Kanako, not at all troubled by the other's delay in giving her name; it went without saying that ceremony wasn't exactly top priority in this sort of environment. People were scared and wanted answers. He did wish he had some for Kanako. "I wish I could say for certain that we ARE safe here, and I imagine they would choose someplace else to keep us if we weren't. But for how long it can't be said."
His smile was wide and almost childlike at Adalyn's proclamation. "Do you think so? I do wish more shared the same sentiment, but sadly my classes are very small and sometimes none show up at all for them. Still....." He nodded then. "Don't be quick to sell yourself short; I imagine a student of law would be well versed at discussions and negotiations, and that's something we might need very soon."
He did end up walking over there with them, curious as to who was in fact watching all of them to ensure that full-out panic didn't happen. He didn't expect the door to be unlocked, but he also hadn't expected talking so close to the door where those with strong hearing could so easily make out the notes of panic in their discussions. "Hmmm...."
He was watching curiously to see if Adalyn's query was met with any results when a small hubbub behind them caused him to turn. Apparently a small imp had succumbed to the panic and fainted, and another student was moving to his side quickly and tending to him with an expertness that suggested her chosen profession. Excusing himself momentarily from the group at the door, he walked over to the pair; not to take over, though he did possess knowledge of various methods of first aid, but to be available in case the able student needed any assistance. He did spare one glance at the door, and his frown deepened. A student had fainted, and there had been no response from whoever was in charge. THAT was a bad sign indeed.

Joseth was studying from a dusty divination tome late in the library when the next thing he knew, an alarm was sounding and he was being herded with a mass of other students through a portal and into the Leviathan auditorium. He wondered faintly what the emergency was, worrying about his significant others and his children. He should be with them right now, protecting them from whatever was going on, rather than holing himself up in the library to prepare for his exam. He took a seat towards the back of the auditorium, accepting a bottle of water and an energy bar that was handed to him by a staff member. He observed the rest of the school pour in and fill each row, the nervous chatter filling the large room when suddenly the tv began its broadcast. Horrified, panic jolted in Joseth's stomach at the display and the resulting chaos that followed. The only thing occupying his mind was the safety of his family. Did they manage to get to a safe house? Were they swept up in the streets with all of the festivities going on? Did they know the danger that everyone in Below was in? The towering Litch tried to remain calm and collected, but he could feel himself start to shake with all of the rest of the nightmares and daydreams around him.

Those within Leviathan have seemed to calmed, for the most part. The dean of Leviathan has wandered in and out, though has been unable to offer answers. Professors and other school staff have set up distractions have been laid out for those to try and enjoy.

Celedrin Hornwood Celedrin had been out for only perhaps a half a minute—a minute at the longest. In that time, thanks to the Kirin looking out for him, his breathing had steadied somewhat and the colour returned to his face. The fainting spell itself served as a kind of soft reset. His vision came into focus, and as it did, he saw the face of a dusky skinned kirin, different from the vibrant green of before.
“Oh... er...” he stammered, the realisation of what had happened settling in. His face flushed and he tried to sit up. “Bother. Erm... I'm all right. Just got a little bit dizzy for a moment. Is it just me or is it really stuffy in here?” He chuckled weakly, fanning himself.
Nearby he noticed an older dryad surveying the situation. Celedrin felt a pit open up in his stomach. The commotion had drawn the eyes of several nightmares and daydreams. It might have been better if he had just stayed unconscious. Even so, he tried to play off his embarrassment.“Ahem... Could someone maybe direct me to the nearest exit?”

Adee wrinkled her nose as the dean finally emerged, making quite platitudes, and offering to set up activities. "I'm not sure what we need right now is to make bracelets..." She said it under her breath, and the expression on her face was pure distaste. The very fact that there was no additional information made her stomach crawl. X and their others certainly had to know where the safehouses were, and what were the chances that the universities hadn't been involved in the experiment. She shook her head.
The hybrid glanced at Kanako, a half smile on her face. "Do you want to make a bracelet during all of this?" She glanced around for Chervil, and noticed him standing over a student on the ground. "Shoot, did they faint? ... And the teachers were still all busy talking? " She shook her head again.
Not wanting to crowd the fallen imp, she opted to call out to Chervil. "Hey Chervil, are they going to be okay? Need me to a grab a water or something for them?"

Abrus FabalesSenior Abrus's tail swished fast, almost like a whip as he was barreled into. Who had the nerve to push and shove when things were already so crazy?! Suddenly a very pretty kirin came up, and Abrus turned a slight shade of pink. "M-Mlady!" Abrus stuttered, aware that the kirin was coming right his way. "What do i owe-" Suddenly he was cut short as she shoved Abrus out of the way to get to the imp who just happened to be beside him. "Make way please!" Abrus soured as the woman moved to attend the imp who apparently "fainted". Abrus's tail urged to whip around in irritation, but there was a lady nearby. He had to act at least a little civil. The imp said something, and Abrus's ears flicked forward to hear better. He glared at other nightmares around. Everyone was just being so noisy! "Are you daft?" Exclaimed the kirin as the imp seemed to only want to get out. "Did you not just hear the television and announcement?!" Also your in the care of such a lovely creature, you lucky b*****d. Abrus only thought the last part to himself. He had to remain one of the civil people here, if only for principal.

Neovi wasn't quite sure how to feel about everything that was happening. One moment she'd been at Grendel, slathering paint onto her newest project as usual, and the next there'd been the alarms, the portal to Leviathan, the television's ominous announcements. She'd been moving through the crowded auditorium ever since, wings fluttering out her agitation as she waited for more news on the situation that might make things better. And in the end, maybe it was for the best that she'd kept moving, because she might have missed the commotion otherwise.
Someone had fainted, apparently? Any distraction from the tense aura of fear and confusion that permeated the room was a good one, so instead of giving the group the space they probably needed, she folded back her wings to keep them from being bumped and slipped through people towards the scene of the accident. "Hey hey, what's going on over here?" All that was left now was a kirin blocking her sight, so she tapped them on the shoulder.
"Are they alright?" But then she'd gotten a chance to slip around them and she took it before they could even turn to answer, leaning in to get a look at whoever it was that had gone down. "Are you alright?" It only took a split second to recognize the imp, and she lit up immediately. Of all the ways to meet someone again!
"Celery!"

Chervil was relieved that the young imp was okay, but not at all pleased that the dean offered no answers whatsoever. He had the sneaking suspicion that he knew more than what he was telling, and keeping it to himself and not allowing anyone to help seemed pointless and a waste of misplaced, manic-driven energy. He did approve somewhat of the crafting distractions, since it was a method he himself taught in his class about keeping a panicked mind busy and focused, but not so much as a glance toward the less able to cope, like the poor young imp being tended to right there in front of them. It must be a very grave emergency if such a thing had passed unnoticed.
Having no desire to craft toys or bracelets, Cervil remained with the kirin and the imp, smiling a little at the latter's seeming attempt to play off his distress. he didn't have much of answer regarding the exit; it wasn't as though any of them were serviceable at the moment. He turned as he heard Adalyn's call. "If you would be so kind; I think a bottle of water would be splendid." He smiled down at the imp. "Don't worry; it tends to happen in crowded places. I think a little water will help immensely."

 auriel carta ❀
This was ridiculous.
Auriel wasn't one for theatrics. (Alright, maybe she was, but) She didn't like tricks and honestly, in this situation, it felt so much like one super big joke. It was Halloween, she was dressed up all beautiful, getting candy from the older University students, when she was suddenly swept up into this mess. Auriel was bitter, sour, and angry, uncaring for the problem on the outside. It had nothing to do with her and her family, whom of which were probably safe at home and she was here with these freaks. She was silent and fuming, just one glance at her would show that. Clicking her tongue, the elegantly dressed female looked up when someone fainted, feeling even more bitter. They should've been taking care of her, the minor, instead of some dumb imp with problems. Making her way to look at the imp, Auriel's wings twitched, expression of distaste very apparent. "Um, excuse me, but does anyone know how fast they're going to be able to clean up outside? It's sorta dumb how long this is taking, we've got numbers on our side and everything."

Trick or Treating was for kids. Astra, being a mature individual with good taste and a sense of restraint, had had better things to do with her night than running around, trying to get as much candy as possible in order to fuel a several-day binge of the stuff... and winding up with an aching stomach and a sense of listlessness at the end. No, instead she'd decided to go to a house-concert. It had been held just outside Leviathan's campus, in someone's house, with a band and a bunch of people, mostly older than her, but they'd only started their set when the announcement blared on, and before people started being rushed to the university safehouse. Now? She was stringing some beads together listlessly, and making impassive faces at the growing crowd of people trying to get out. When a Fallen that looked not much older than her piped up, demanding to know why they were being held up, she gave a derisive snort. "If you had anything more than feathers between your ears, you'd have caught onto the fact that something bad is happening," she drawled, slowly enough that it was clear she was being patronizing. "But if you really want to go brave the outdoors with the supposed revenge-seeking cannibals, go right ahead. Keep bothering them and see where that gets you."
quite uneventful I am so sorry. Astra's in a foul mood!

Kiera looked concerned for a moment before the imp came too. She gave them a reassuring smile and helped them to sit up. As they tried to brush the event off Kiera gave a very small frown that passed quickly. This was serious. The fact that the dean had come in and not noticed a student in such distress worried her. She looked around at the crowd of people that had come over, noting the fellow Kirin she gave a small nod and a smile. Unfortunately that faded when the Kirin opened his mouth. He had a point- she couldn’t argue that- but he could have been gentler. She shrugged it off and turned back to the imp.
“Well, I’m glad your feeling better now, I’d be careful getting all the way up and moving just now though- fainting is your body’s way of telling you that you NEED to lay down.”
She heard someone asking about water and before she could reply it was accepted, and it appeared one of the crowd knew her patient.
“Thank you most kindly” She told the one who asked about water. To the imp she said “You should be fine now, I imagine, sip on the water, stay sitting for a few and take it easy. Seeing as you’ve got a friend here I’ll leave you be.” She smiled at the lovely fey who named her patient.
Kiera looked over to the other Kirin and said “ You fell too- are you alright? Any bumps, bruises or scrapes?” She was still on the floor looking up at him through her lashes. Almost absently she brushed her silver hair back over her shoulder, completely unaware of how picturesque she looked.Quote: Sorry for the delay- I tried to keep it short but sweet and still acknowledge everyone!

Abrus FabalesSenior Abrus squinted at the fey who supposedly knew this weird imp. It had to be an act. And everyone was believing it right away! Abrus's ears folded back, a sign of his annoyance. This imp must be an actor or something. He wanted the large crowd and attention. Abrus had to try hard not to stomp a hoof. He was a real performer, he should be in the spotlight! Then the beautiful purple kirin looked up at him, and he melted into her eyes. "Um! No!" Abrus hastily rearranged his own long locks of hair, suddenly uncertain about what to do with his hands. "No a fall like that was nothing really, i assure you!" the Kirin responded, standing up straighter. Abrus looked around at the crowd, all eyes were filled with concern and worry for the clumsy imp, and the lovely lady was watching him. He had to do something! "He needs space!" Abrus called at the crowd, throwing his arms out wide dramatically. He struck the pose for a second, then he bent down to pick up the imp princess style. "I shall find him a safe, quiet place where he can rest his obviously exhausted self." Abrus looked at one of the many in the crowd. "Find him blankets! And a pillow! This imp needs rest!" Abrus gave the beautiful purple kirin a look Abrus thought was strong and heroic. "M'lady! You are welcome to come and keep caring for this imp, but I feel you would be much safer if we were to move this to a more... private area. Cant have one of you getting stepped on or such!" With that Abrus turned and went to find a space by the wall, at least, where there would be far less chance of injury happening.

Kanako found her emotions settling firmly in the annoyed category as the dean came and went, the only comfort offered being some silly crafts to distract them. Looking to Adalyn, Kanako shook her head," It seems kind of silly, given the situation..." the Kumiho grimaced and looked around the auditorium, trying to get a count on the number of Nightmares and Daydreams in the room.
She wondered about the families of those gathered, and found that her anxiety was ever rising. Perhaps the Elders had been right to keep the Kumiho safe within the forest village, the barrier keeping all of this chaos a distant horror.
Unable to think of anything productive to do, Kanako settled herself into one of the seats near the table of crafts, sort of blankly watching the others who were occupying themselves with making bracelets.

Celedrin Hornwood Another voice cut in and Celedrin saw the kirin he had crashed into before. The heat continued to rise in his face. The crowd had not yet dissipated. “W-well... I... I only...” the imp sputtered. Thankfully, another voice interrupted him before he stammer out a half-baked excuse. Its owner, another unfamiliar daydream, called for a bottle of water and smiled down at him. Celedrin could almost hear the wink in the dryad's voice when he responded with knowing words.
“Yes, that would be top-notch. Really,” Celedrin replied, feeling some of his flush fade. He nodded to both the dryad and the kirin leaning over him. “Thank you very much for all your...”
“Celery!”
Celedrin's ears twitched. There it was: that terrible nickname. As he looked over to see who hailed him though, the spark of annoyance burnt out. It was the fay from... Well, where had he seen her before? Somewhere around Grendel to be sure, if the paints on her outfit were any indication, but where? He had no recollection.
“Oh, it's... um... you!” he said, hoping that would suffice. Once more he was saved, this time by the dark-skinned kirin. “Of course. Exactly,” he responded. She gave good advice. Yet a part of him was still itching to get up, slink away, and make a mad dash for the exit. Really, he could not bear to be tied down like this. For the time being, he would sit quietly though. As he plotted an escape route, Celedrin tapped his index finger against his knee. He just needed to wait for the right moment...
“He needs space!” A voice bellowed. All of a sudden, Celery found himself scooped off the ground. He opened and closed his a few times, rendered speechless, before emitting any kind of vocalisation.
“Excuse me!” He cried, panicked. “There's really no need for all that. You're truly generous for offering, but I'm fine. I can handle myself, thank you! So if you could just please, put me down... No, really, there's no need. Just... put me down. Right here. Please. Put me. Down. If you can't—someone please help! I'm being manhandled!”
Voice pitched at full volume, Celedrin attempted to wiggle free of the kirin's grasp.

Well at least the imp seemed to be gathering his wits quickly, Chervil thought, with no thanks to the people in charge of this.....whatever it is. Honestly; just because there was something strange and alarming going on shouldn't excuse administrative staff of seeing to the needs of their students. Once again it struck him as strangely ironic that in the midst of all of this, he seemed the most calm out of all the staff he had seen so far. Him, Chervil, the worrywart who tired people out with his stories of a world with no magic and how everyone would do well to prepare for it.
The sudden barrage of loud declarations from a nearby Kirin put an end to his musings. He watched in mild amusement as the kirin theatrically scooped the poor imp up and looked about for a place to take him. He could hardly blame the imp for his reaction; it didn't seem any of them were familiar with each other despite the fey's proclamation to the contrary. He heard the imp's protests turn more panicky, and no longer amused, Chervil moved to step in, lest either of the youngsters get hurt or hurt each other. "Come now, I think the young one can walk on his own."
