"Help you hunt?" He asked, giving a humming sound. Now that was something that he'd never been requested to do by anyone. It would be a new and different task, one in which he shouldn't turn down just because it wasn't traditional hero work. He gave thought on it a moment longer before he finally nodded his head, "I don't see why not."

"A small army?" He asked in a curious manner, wondering if perhaps she too had an adventure group? That would be pretty neat since they already had a bit in common... but that likely meant that he wouldn't be able to get her to join him on future adventures. It would be tough to lead a 'small army' of her own as well as join other groups as well. What about an alliance between groups to work toward a bigger goal? Oh... that would be neat! Two groups together would be able to take down all sorts of big, scary things he thought to himself in an excited manner before he told himself to calm down and focus.

After she asked him if he could fish he nodded his head rapidly, "Yeah, that I can do!"

She had almost wished that he said no to her invite. Still, help would be nice. Though that meant that she would need his help in carrying everything home. Wouldn't that be interesting.

"Good, because I can't." So fishing would be his thing. She could gather fruits and then track small game. Rajani nodded her head for him to follow as she started to walk again. Thankfully she had everything she needed in her bag. Including line and a hook. She didn't have a stick though, so they would need to find one. "The small army is my father, my brother and his beasts. So get as many fish as you can." Looking down at Ethra she smiled and reached into her bag to pull out a dried date. When her maglardilla saw it he hurried to catch up to her.

"I'll gather the rest." Rajani thought she was being slick. It was a way to "spend time" with the boy but also not be near him. She thought she was being nice that way.

Lixes couldn't help but to laugh a bit as she admitted that she couldn't fish. He supposed that meant that he was going to be doing that on his own, huh? He could try to get help from Pyre but he knew that the radaku only went after fish when they were something he wanted for himself. He likely wouldn't go after them for Rajani since that wasn't really what he was trained to do.

"Ohhh... so your 'army' is your family and their familiars then? I was thinking that maybe you were making an adventure group of your own. That you're trying to help feed your family is a really noble thing!" He said before he clapped his hands together, "Alright! We should definitely do that then! We will make sure to get the fish! So! Should be do so by hand or should we make some fish traps? Kind of depends on how soon your family wants dinner."

All but bouncing in place he said, "If we get enough I will have to bring some home to my family too!"

That he laughed at her not being able to fish was a little annoying. Though she left it alone. "Noble? Yeah, I guess." Rajani was just trying to be a good daughter and sister. Something he said caught her attention and she looked at him with a confused look. "Fish traps? What are those?" Since she did little to no fishing or even stayed near water the shifter knew nothing about what Lixes was talking about.

As he seemed excited about the fish she blinked. "Y-yesss.. You're enjoying this a little too much." Rajani arched a brow at him. "Why are you so obsessed with being a hero anyways?" It was a odd thing to want to be. However, if she had had a hero to save her when she was little maybe all the bad things wouldn't have happened. It gave her something to think about, that was for sure. Though she didn't really see herself as one if only because she couldn't touch people.

"They are a quick and easy way to catch a lot of fish in one go. You set up a box of sorts made of sticks and rocks in the water that had one one skinny, funnel entrance. It's best to put up in a nice, shaded area or a place where they might go to hide. They go into the funnel entrance and get stuck without even knowing it. After a bunch are in the trap you block the entrance then go get them!" He said, clapping his hands before he looked around, "We will need to find a water source first, then we can start building!"

Glancing her way he nodded, "Of course! Why wouldn't I enjoy myself? It's fun to help out and I figure if we get a ton of fish I can bring some home too!" He told her as he moved to close some distance between the two of them with Pyre following along behind him closely.

"Hm? Oh! Well, you see one of my fathers is a hero! Well, both are in their own way but one of them wouldn't really admit it. He says that my other father is a real hero, the sort that protects people with his hammer, and keeps them safe. I'm going to be just like him! Well... his path in life that is, physically Drexl is more like him then I am." His other father was the sort that stuck to the shadows and struck from there, he protected people but not in a manner that people would normally deem heroic. He was the sort that didn't want his sons emulating him and instead turned them toward their Alkidike father, telling them to emulate him instead.

That sounded like a perfect way to catch fish. Rajani wouldn't have to stay near the water if she knew how to make one! "Can you teach me how to make one?" Alright, so she would be spending more time with the boy than she wanted but the outcome would be worth it. She would be able to catch fish and make Chal proud! Considering their first fishing trip hadn't been all that great she wanted to make up for it.

"I see.." The shifter looked away from the boy. It was interesting to know that there were people out there that protected others. Strangers even. "I guess my dad would be a hero then." She mumbled. Of course Rajani didn't look at Chal in that way. He was much more. At least to her. A hero saved someone then moved on to the next. Her dad had taken her in and kept her safe even after their first meeting. "Well, no.. he's more than a hero."

Her shoulders lifted slightly as if she didn't know what word best fit him. "It's difficult to explain. Maybe one day you'll be more than just a hero." She hoped so. The world needed more people like her dad.

"You're brother's name is Drexl? And yours?" Hearing the name of the boy's sibling made her realize she didn't know his. Of course she had never asked until now. "Mine is Rajani."

Lixes nodded his head, "Sure! It's actually pretty easy. So long as you can help me gather some sticks and rocks then we can get a trap under way." He said as he looked from side to side, then hurried forward to gather up some nearby fallen debris that would help them out as far as building the trap would go, "It's actually pretty easy to make one. After we make it we will need to give it some time though, to allow the fish to get themselves trapped. Oh! If we can find a place with a nice current that will make it even easier since the current will lead them into it."

Glancing over toward her and starred for a moment, then gave a big, happy smile, "More then a hero, huh? Oh... I wonder what one has to do to become more then a hero." He wasn't sure but that was definitely a future goal that he was all for achieving if at all possible. He might have to ask his parents about it, to figure out how too do that. If anyone knew it would be them!

"Yeah, Drexl is one of my brothers. He's pretty amazing and is a giant! well, compared to me at least. He's a little shorter then one of our fathers still." He said, wishing that he was as tall as Drexl was, sure that he'd be able to do even more good work. Giving her a smile he said, "It's nice to meet you, Rajani! My name is Lixes."

Her head gave a small bob as he mentioned helping him find some sticks. Her grey eyes instantly set to work in trying to find some and when she did she veered off course to walk over and get them. Rajani bent over and scooped them up as Lixes asked about what it took to be more than a hero. While still bent at the waist she looked back at him, her hair falling and touching the ground to pick up a few leaves. "You just.. I don't know, do more than a hero would. My dad saved me but instead of just doing that he took me in. Let me have a family again." With her answer given she straightened, oblivious to the leaves that were in her hair now, and slowly walked back toward Lixes.

"A giant?" Did that mean he was as tall as an Alk? If so she wasn't so sure she wanted to meet a male that was that all. Rajani had enough issues with males without having to be intimidated by their size. The slightly color drain from her face would likely give away how she felt about the "giant" brother.

"Lixes?" The shifter girl chuckled. "Can I call you Lixie?" Rajani was teasing of course but she did think the nickname was kinda cute, if he had been a girl. Maybe she would name a familiar that if she got a female.

"More then a hero would." Lixes mused, giving a nod as she explained what her father had done to become 'more then a hero' and he found himself tilting his head to one side. He opened up his mouth, about to ask her something, when a voice in his head told him not to say it. It was a stupid and unnecessary question after all. He closed his mouth for a moment, mulled over his thoughts, then said, "I will have to see what I can do then to become 'more then a hero' one day. First though I really should become regular hero first." He come become 'more then a hero' after that.

As she echoed his words about Drexl being a giant he gave a nod, looking like quite a proud brother as he said, "Yep! He really takes after our half Alkidike father. Big and tall! It's fun to get radaku back rides from him." He gave a little chuckle at the thought before he continued to gather more and more of the stuff around him to use as building materials, "You should meet him sometime. He's a bit on the shy side but he's a really sweet guy... though you'd have to try to catch him when he isn't off with his 'princess'." Another thing that drew a chuckle from him.

"Eh? Lixie?" It was a slightly shorter nickname in which the 's' was removed. He gave a shrug of one shoulder and said, "Sure, I don't see why not. I mean I would only be down an 's' after all." Not something that bothered him in the least bit since nicknames obvious meant that Rajani was his friend now.

With him saying that she should meet his brother, the gentle giant, she shook her head, her eyes going a little wide. "Ah, no.. I.. I don't do so well with intimidating males." Or just intimidating people in general. If she had a free hand she would have rubbed at her arms but since they were full of sticks and a hammer, she couldn't. "You're not intimidating even though you're a male." Probably the most insulting thing she could say to a guy if he cared about his male ego any.

"Heh, Lixie it is then." Now if only he liked males then they could be friends. "Is this enough sticks?" She asked as she nodded her head toward what was in her hands. It was then, the movement having caused one of the leaves to be seen out of the corner of her eye, that she noticed that there were things in her hair. She tried to shake them loose but it was no good. It was a good thing she wasn't overly girly. Or that she was trying to impress anyone. Rajani sighed and huffed, trying to blow air up at the leaf and get it to go away.

Lixes couldn't help but to laugh, "Drexl? Intimidating? I don't know about... maybe if you saw him from a distance and didn't know him then maybe?" He knew his brother and how kind he really was so maybe that was why he just couldn't see him as being an 'intimidating' sort. That and given have careful and gentle he was around his 'princess' one would almost think he was incapable of being intimidating. At least not without just cause that was.

Laughing again as she said that he wasn't intimidating even if he was a man he said, "Well... I am gonna take that as a compliment. I don't think that heroes are supposed to be intimidating unless they are dealing with some sort of villain or a giant monster." Other then that they were supposed to be the sort that inspired confidence in those around them. That was what got others to trust them, allowing them to help out! At least that was what he thought and since she didn't see him as intimidating then he must be on the right track.

Glancing between the sticks that they each had he gave a nod, "Yeah, it should work. We will also need rocks but we can get those around the river itself. Better then having to carry them a long distance for sure."

She gave Lixes an odd look. "He could be a little lamb but the fact that he is bigger than I am and could hurt me if he wanted... And he likes princesses.." Okay, so Rajani was no princess but the term alone meant that Drexl liked girls. She wasn't too keen on males that were straight. If only because they could be a potential threat to her. "In my experience.. guys like that are dangerous." She shrugged her shoulders slightly.

When he said that the sticks they had were enough she nodded her head and started walking toward the river. Rajani wouldn't get too close to it though. IN fact she made sure to stop a good seven feet or more from the water. "Alright Lixie, show me how it's done." She set her sticks down and then motioned to them before she took a step back. Rajani set her hammer down in the meantime and reached up to collect the leaves from her hair. Each one pulling strands out of the braid that hung to the side making it look messy.

Lixes gave a bit of a laugh, unable to help it, picturing for a moment Drexl's 'princess' in his mind before nodding his head. He started ahead, walking toward where the river was waiting for them. He walked along, eyes on the water, before he found a spot that he thought would work better for them. He hopped down into the water, wading in, before he started to set up the sticks by sticking them in the ground of the river. He kept them super close to each other, so that the fish of a worth while size wouldn't be able to escape.

"We want to make sure the water can still flow through, that way it won't just knock everything over since there is a current." He said as he put up all of the sticks, walking over to where Raj stood, holding out his arms for the sticks she'd gathered, "Once all of the sticks are set up with only the funnel entrance left I will add some rocks to keep them stable. After that it's mostly just a waiting game."

She watched him from where she was, well away from the water. It didn't grant her much of a view but it was all the closer she was willing to go. When Lixes came toward her for the sticks she'd already gathered she picked them up and handed them over. "I don't think I'll be able to make one after all.." She commented. Mostly because he had been in the water.

Rajani pressed her lips together and watched him for a while longer. "Did you want to sit and wait Lixie? I am going to climb the trees and look for fruits." Since she didn't know if he could climb or not she didn't ask him to join her.

Lixes took Rajani's offering of sticks before he returned to the fish trap, hopping back into the water, and continued with the building of the fish catching device. Here was to hoping that he was putting it all together the right way he thought to himself as he carefully placed each of the sticks. Once that was done he then moved to get the rocks, working on stabilizing everything. It wouldn't work right if the fish were able to just crash through because the sticks had no back up. As he worked on that he glanced toward Rajani, giving her a curious look as she said she wouldn't be able to make a trap after all.

Before he could really question her she was asking if he wanted to sit and wait while she went looking for the fruit. He gave a nod of his head and said, "I don't mind waiting." While it was kind of the most boring possible job for someone as high energy as he was it seemed that Rajani wanted the job that involved climbing up into the trees. As such he'd take the 'watching for fish' task. After climbing out of the water he moved to where he could watch his trap but the fish hopefully wouldn't notice him. Once there he sat down and started to play the 'waiting game' ending up bored within moments but he was determined to see this through. She'd asked for his help after all and he couldn't be picky, even heroes had to doing the less exciting tasks from time to time after all.
