Hydra Iridescent

Hydra finally after seeing everyone working on their own projects got out some paper and began to draw instruments she had done this several times for she needed to know how to craft and create them so she started with a piano first which she then proceeded to color in with her pencil she added a few notes about placements and such here and there wondering if she was going to get to make one of these back home when she got the chance. She was almost big enough to craft the coral and driftwood into the lovely piano and she then propped her chin up with her hand beginning to day dream she was preforming in one of Sebastian's concerts as a lead pianist.

Nautica
Daughter of Triton

As Albert asked if he could have the seat beside her, Nautica smiled and nodded "Go right ahead!" she chimed happy that her friend wasa able to grab a spot close by. Turning to her paper, Nautica zoned out into thought for a bit, wondering what she was going to draw. After a moment she smiled to herself and started to draw, the image in her mind telling her were her strokes should bring her pencils. The hill with a large tree that overlooked the city, fireworks going off in the dark night sky, lighting it up with all kinds of colors and patterns. That was her idea.

Albert looked at Nautica. Nautica, that's a lovely picture you're drawing. It's beautiful just like you are. Albert says this as he works on his drawing of a moonlit sky over a landscape with a shower of shooting stars.

Ariel
User Image

Ariel had been checking out the pain set and all the stuff in it that she forgot what she was suppose to be doing. She turns around noting that everyone was drawling something and then turns back to the paint,"Hm...", she then starts to squeeze the stuff out onto the palet and looking at the white canvas she began to draw some of the bright colors are it. Not to say she was really doing art art but she was trying and she managed to do a rough painting of her underwater ghetto that she was very fond of. Her concentrated face consisted off her tongue stuck to the side and her eyes squinted.

"Yeah, I missed it, too." Todd felt a little stupid for having already forgotten what she had said only moments earlier about her antics in getting to the right class. "Maybe if I had gotten to school on time today would have gone a little differently for both of us." Todd looked to her blankly for a moment when she asked him if he would teach her how to write letters. It was a bit of a shock to hear that she didn't know how to write. Everyone their age knew how to write. At the same time, Todd felt a deep sense of empathy for her. His memory loss made it so that he himself had to re-learn how to write and do a lot of other things that kids his age had learned years earlier. He was lucky that he had been able to catch up to his age grouip at all. "Absolutely!" He grinned and gave her a thumbs up before getting out a paper and pen... he heard Albert's question and smiled over to him. Albert seemed pretty confident in himself, but he often needed words of affirmation to assure him that he was liked. Albert soon turned his attention elsewhere and Todd moved his chair closer to Verity and placed the paper between the two of them.

"I'll teach you print. People don't use the fancy cursive much anymore. I can teach you that after, though, if you want to learn it." It would be easy to share the same paper since Todd was left-handed. "Each letter in the alphabet has two different ways to write them. There are capitol letters and lowercase letters. Capitol "A" looks like a pencil tip. And lowercase "a"-- just forget the fancy tail on top of it, everyone does-- looks like this. Like a head, sleeping against a pencil because school is boring. Except I sometimes write mine backwards because my pencil is on the left side when I sleep in my hand." Todd explained, looking over at her. "They usually have you copy the shapes a hundred times or so each to learn them."

Verity watched him as he printed the letters and taking another piece of paper she held the pencil in her right hand but then switched to her left as she found it more comfortable. Following his example, she wrote the letters the same way. "Like this?" she said showing him.

...will you teach me what you know?

Hydra Iridescent

Hydra finally snapped out of her daydream and looked around the classroom felt to quiet and she wished lunch would hurry up and get there for them all. She lazily looked down at her perfect diagram of a classical under sea piano and shoved the paper to the side as she doodled little squiggly lines and such seeing that they really didn't have a real assignment in this class like the most of them. She turned her attention to the board lazily picking up her piano paper she crumples it up and gets up to toss it in the trash while she walks back to her desk picking up another paper and begins to draw in lines for the human violin she was planning on building.

"Hey! You're left-handed, like me!" Todd noted gleefully. It was always rare to meet another lefty like himself. Looking to her work, he nodded in approval. "Yeah, good work. Do you want me to write the whole alphabet for you, or just the next few letters?" He didn't want to overwhelm her with letters if she didn't feel up for it.

Verity smiled, she didn't exactly know what he'd meant by being left-handed like him so she thought about it for a moment. "What does left-handed mean?" as she thought about his question she smiled softly. "I'm a fast learner... could you teach me them all? But a couple at a time?"

...will you teach me what you know?

"It means that you prefer to do things with your left hand. Most people are right-handed, which means that most things are designed for right-handed people." Todd wasn't really sure where he was going with that, so he moved on."Lets do B, then. B is two bumps and the lowercase b is one bump. Both on the right side... most letters face the right side. C is a crescent moon shape both big and small." He told her, drawing each.

Albert put the finishing detailing on his drawing of a moonlit sky over a landscape with a shower of shooting stars. Todd, care to see my painting?

Todd turned to look at Albert's painting. "Hey! Cool! It looks like a prolonged exposure of the night sky!" He pointed out. Usually with shooting stars, there were still some stars in the firmament that stayed still and they never all went in the same direction. But he liked the painting all the same. Astronomy was Todd's thing and he loved that Albert enjoyed it, too.

Verity followed his example, drawing both B's and C's then starting again from A and drawing them again. "I think I'm getting the hang of this..." she said excitedly.
