Phact watched his back, not following as she crossed her arms under her chest and shrugged. "So not even her devoted followers know what she is up to. I don't know if that's reassuring or not..." Following someone blindly was a terrifying thought. It really meant you never knew what was to come next.
"You gave up that life Gev." Phact finally said. "You chose willingly for what reason I do not know but you did." Finally now, she walked behind him. "But it isn't worth lingering anymore. Unless you want to go back that badly..."
She watched his shoulders. How Kai and him differed. If she had said the same thing to the Mars Knight, he would have gone on a tangent about how horrible they were and selfish.
"But as for what Kai is planning, why don't you ask him yourself?" Casting a smile she continued. "I have a feeling he would always welcome more help. Besides, you might enjoy yourself more with him."

He bristled at where the topic was going and looked over his shoulder at her. "There is no going back for traitors. Just like there is no straying from orders. This isn't destiny with the freedom to do what you want. There are orders in the Negaverse you follow in exchange for the power given to you, to prove they made the right choice by making you earn it, and one which could be taken away as easily as your life. There are punishments for not doing what you are told." He pulled at his glove, flashing a bit of the burned key scar on his hand. "I was in a corner. My hand was forced. I took what was precious to me and ran." If things had been any other way, his aura would not be what it was right now.
He moved his glove back down. "You do what's good for the whole. It's not following blindly to them. It's following your leaders and having faith in those who suffered to get where they are to be awarded the honor of their rank." Or so he used to think.
"...sometimes it's even fear."
He was quiet as he adjusted the tote. He was a knight, but really how much of him even changed? Who was Gevaudan anyways? What was in this uniform?
"Maybe....but I don't know how to get a hold of him so I guess you'll just do his errands and pass the information along."

Red eyes gazed at the scar on his hand. It almost reminded her of a brand more so than a burn mark the way it took shape.
"You make it more sound like a bee hive working for a queen. Good what is due for the whole. If you don't, a solider bee takes you out back and has you put down." There was a small bit of softness in her voice. Just a hint as she worried he would turn angry she felt that way when clearly something about it still attracted him. She had to wonder if it was the sense of fear her used to strike into people.
Now, he walked as a knight who seemed...unsatisfied.
Surprisingly, that she could understand.
"Look, it isn't much but if you ever do need anything, or just someone who enjoys chatting over..." Her eyes looked at the tote "Coffee, let me know. As for getting in touch with Kairatos, don't you have one of those fancy rings knights use to send messages?"

And that had him bristling, and he shot her a glare. "Yeah, it isn't much. Actually, it's less than that. What do you even have to offer? What would YOU have to offer that I'd even want? That I don't already know? I wouldn't even be talking to the likes of you if you weren't just a messenger to a knight."
"If he wants me, he can contact a Ganymeade knight to pass on the word. Or ...I'll just find him." He said, and started to walk off now with more brisk a pace.

The glare made her pull back slightly, allowing the space between them to expand. For a long moment, Phact closed her eyes and let it all sink in before she took a deep breath and pushed on.
"I can offer you a pair of ears to listen when you are angry." which, she guessed, was often by how he stormed off.
Heels clicked now as the bird hit her stubborn point. "Think about it. You may not like me very much but I'm not asking you to. Though I promise, I'm not that bad...even for a senshi."
A shrug, she let him walk on. "I'll mention it to Kai for you if that is what you wish. After that, ball is in your court. Though realize, everything you just spoke to me about was my questioning. Kai doesn't even know I was looking for you."

He did pause in step to call back to her, which sure was a bit awkward but it wasn't like he was about to walk all the way back after he made it a point to walk away.
"Yeah, but he might need it for what he is planning so you are working on his behalf. Unless you aren't then you were misleading me. So just tell him already, and I don't care if you are good or bad. I don't trust you." If she wanted to stand here and make a point that she was the one gathering information just for herself, then he felt mislead and that would only piss him off more. Did she want a fight?

Did he really just decide to yell that down the alley way? Phact could have sworn she heard a cat run away from the half echo.
Standing there, one arm back on her hip, the senshi shook her head. He had made such a point to walk away that this seemed to be defeating that point.
Remaining silent, she let her heels click against the ground. The distance needed to be closed so this didn't become a screaming match. "Did I ever ask you to trust me?" Phact spoke slightly loader than a normal voice. "Either you will or you won't. But I wanted to be honest with you that he did not give me a list of questions and say 'go! Find this knight and pick his brain'. The information will help in the long run but it was my idea to come to you because in my mind, you have alot to offer. Even if others do not see it. Even if you don't see it yourself."
Though she was closer, Phact still kept a small distance. Something about his eyes....eye...
"This is your world now as much as it is mine. No one is going to tell you what to do or who to be anymore. You have to find your own path."
Now though, she did smile. "And I have to thank you too. Back some time, you asked me what I fought for. Others had asked me as well but your words stuck with me. So I hope you don't mind if I beat the tar out of your old partners."

He spun the bag and threw it at her, aiming for her face as he followed behind it and went for a straight sweeping kick to take her down.
He could say her first mistake was threatening his former comrades, but really her first mistake was talking to him in the first place as if he wouldn't turn on her if she pissed him off.
It would be her lesson learned.

Down she went...hard.
The reaction was a surprise and came in hard. It was her mistake for being somewhat trusting. Her mistake for not at least having some guard up. Otherwise, maybe she could have countered and at least kept her her feet.
Now, she was on her back, gazing up at the one eyed man in surprise. But that surprise quickly switched. All signs of anything worth talking to were gone as those red eyes narrowed.
"I see. So either you don't like being thanked or..." Phact used a moment to roll away from a direct line to him and find her feet. "You have a stronger tie holding you to them." Now, even as she found herself on guard, she had to wonder...where did his loyalty rest. Her guess...to himself.

His weapon was already summoned as he stood,l watching her. "I don't serve Metallia, but I know that the people there aren't any different from any other knight. They pledged their lives in order to protect Earth and have bleed and sweat for that thankless position. They weren't destined for that rank. They became it by choice or stayed with it by that same decision. That's more than O can say about senshi. If I ever see you attacking them, It's one thing to fight to survive, but hunting them down is another. If I see that, I'll snap your birdie little neck."
And he waited. "Or should we just finish it here? Like you said, I can always deliver that information myself."

"A threat?" Phact shook her head as her eyes glanced towards the weapon. She knew knight weapons had limits but that was not a limit she wanted to test. He was a known killer at one...
"So then, are you just a wolf in sheep's clothing then?" Phact slipped her foot back to balance her weight. "A loyal to their cause agent dressed in white now?" She knew distance was needed to avoid his strikes but how much length did he have on that chain?
"Because they pledged their lives to lies and tricks. They made a choice to serve chaos and now they get what they chose. Most of us did not have a choice but we have a destiny to prevent them from ruling this planet and all others. If I see an agent harming life, I will go after them. " Phact admitted, her own eyes glaring.
"Snap my neck, Black Knight. But you will have more than one seek you out for revenge. So I do hope you enjoy." Phact's innocence she had ages ago was leaving her. When her choice was made, when she had stepped on her planet, she knew what she needed to do. "But I will not allow them to the life on this world. Energy draining or not, death of innocence is not needed."

"Its hard for anyone to seek revenge if they don't know who the killer is, and I have plenty of practice and unmarked graves. I'd even help with the search party when you go missing." He said with a smile. She wasn't testing him yet.
"I don't serve chaos. I just know good people are being tricked and want to bite back. Hard to snap at your master when they still have a grip on your leash. I know where I came from and the people I care about. I'm not about to let them die when they are being lied to. That doesn't mean I won't kill when necessary." Or when it served his cause. "But I don't serve you either. Don't judge me for making my choices when everyone else has that same privilege here. It isn't just civilians that need saving."
He held tightly to the chain.

"I'm still not worried, oh great wolf." Phact half smiled a half sneer. "Your bite is painful, I am sure, but I've come back from pain before."
"You do have a pretty speech though. Sadly, you are now dealing with people who have seen those same you want to 'save' act on their own free will without the master pulling the chain. Always for the Negaverus but how many have to die just because they had a pretty starseed and you needed an energy boost. You want to 'save' them? How noble. Countless don't want to be though and you need to see that as well. They aren't the same as they once were when you walked with them as the great man you claim to be."
"Though I do see you serve yourself. You were Gany's colors but I can tell you would never listen to her." Her eyes scanned them. To be honest, she didn't fault him for that bit. "But tell me this then, oh protector, who do you kill then? If not the agents, how do you curb that blood lust? Should I tell my fellow senshi to stand guard...."

"You talk nice too. You kill. You murder plenty. You turn a blind eye to torture. Don't sugar coat your side as being the spotless example of right and just. We're all criminals here. Some of us just enjoy the little things a bit more."
"I'm not writings off everyone I knew just because of a fashion change. Saying they aren't worth it and deserve death is laughable considering who I am and once was. It's because I was there and because I'm here now that makes me see it. Don't talk to me as if I'm only seeing what the Negaverse and this side is when I've spent years serving this war. I've seen them kill and I've bite down on sinew with the rest of them and I've seen senshi burst them into embers in response. They have their wills and desires just as much as your comrades, free of order, choose what they will to break into pieces with some magical word. I've seen the kingdom of Youma. I've been to the hallow soul-screaming halls of knights, seen a great phonenix rise from ash, a couple turn to crystal, a tree root upon bodies, and a cloaked demon tear an entire team apart. I've been to the Hall of Traitors and been before Metallica itself. I've served Charonite, the Queen, and Metallica in my time as an officer. Who the ******** are you to preach to me what I already know?! Someone who didn't even get how ******** energy orbs work."
"I don't give a damn what you tell the senshi just as long as they stay the ******** out of my way of what I want."
He desumoned his weapon, walking over to pick up the tote.

When the weapon disappeared, Phact took the chance to slip back several more feet.
She said nothing to him as he picked up the tote and turned from her. But watched the lines of his body. One thing was clear...whatever she said to him...nothing would change in this man. It would take erasing things that no one could erase. Changing things no one could...
"Take a look at what you have now. You lost the powers of an agent but gained the abilities of a knight. Maybe what you seek isn't here." How many of them had found their answers elsewhere...
A hand went to her heart as she pictured that sand covered world.
She had.
"I'll let Kairatos of Mars know if he ever wants to speak to you, to seek you out himself. That way, you won't have to deal with his messenger bird." The words held annoyance as she too turned from him. But not to walk. She would make use of her added skill in jumping to take to the roof line.
The open air gave her freedom.
