When his cheeks turned a slight pink, Vega tilted her head, the towel moving with it. She took the bowl happily from him, looking down at it and then to the hot dogs and sodas. Well, don't mind if she did. With a pleased giggle, Vega went to the kitchen, putting together a hot dog with mustard and just dropped that in the bowl of mac and cheese. Slowly she licked her lips, grabbed a soda and then took her seat next to him. "...Yeah! I got drunk of of, apparently, faerie wine??" She shrugged and made a disbelieving face as she cut up the hot dog, bun and all, and mixed it. "At least, that's where Jeremiah said."

Zac blinked. “You, you know Jeremiah?” He asked. He wasn’t at all sure why he was surprised. “He um… he’s actually my guardian. I mean I’m legal age now but he was my guardian and… yeah. Fairy wine. I had a little too. Did you um, how much did you see?” He did arch his eyebrows to watch what she did with the mac and cheese, but he didn’t criticize it. He scooped up a fork full of mac and cheese and ate it thinking. “I mean… you don’t have to talk about it but, I don’t know. I didn’t realize you were someone involved with all of that before, but then I realized I sort of knew your awesome hair and… things.” He felt his cheeks get hotter he could swear it. “Um.. oh! What job are you applying for! That’s a more normal question.”

"Yeah, he's picked me up once or twice after I tagged a building." Vega started eating happily enough, savoring the taste of warm food. She breathed a happy sigh and then hummed. "He actually moved my van because someone complained. He knows I don't got the cash to pay for a tow, and it's not... you know, my van. Just a van I found and took over. Anyway. We go back a few years." Vega looked him over, taking in his fashion, his hair, and then noticed something about his eyes. She put her bowl to the side and leaned in, probably bursting any personal space bubble he had, and then squinted. "...Your... You have amazing eyes. They're.. weird.. But like, cool?" Snapping back, she cleared her throat and then scratched at her neck. "Well, sometimes I do paint for construction. I work a few days, collect a paycheck. This one's a cashier position in a clothing store. They need seasonal help, I guess. So." She tugged on her hair lightly before answering the harder question. "Honestly, that ball? I didn't see anything. I drank, passed out, and when I woke up s**t had gone down and I just kind of...wandered home."

He looked tremendously pleased, but also like he wasn’t remotely sure what to do with her being so close. “Thankyou?” He said biting at his lip. “They um, they used to be blue, they sort of changed while I was at the ball. I um… I think it might have ended up nice that you sorta slept through it though, it got sort of, it got kind of dark.” He admitted. “You seem nice so, I’m glad.” He stirred the mac and cheese like there might be answers there, thinking, then frowned slightly. “So… you sleep in your van?”

A brow arched. "...Huh... I guess it ties into this 'Other Ashdown' that Jer was going on about? I half thought it was old man rambling." That wasn't true. She believed every word the man said to her, she was just trying to keep the situation light. "Uuuh. Yeah. Well, it's not my van. It's just a broke down van that doesn't leak and I can keep relatively comfortable and dry." She blinked. "It's better than a lot out there who're sleeping in tents, you know? So I count myself lucky."

“…” he stirred the mac and cheese again. “… You, you could stay here tonight? I swear I’m not trying to be perverted or anything, I’ll sleep on the couch. But you have an interview and you should get good sleep, you could have another shower in the morning. “I’ll order pizza?” He offered looking at her with a worried face. I won’t mind if you say no, but, um… it, it would be nice to have some company tonight. Even if its just for dinner.”

He offered her a bed. Vega looked at him like he had a horn growing out of his head. She squinted and turned her head up a little, thinking about this decision hard. "Yeah, sure," she murmured softly, looking down. "Uh. Thanks? I mean, a bed-bed would be super great after sleeping in the back of the van." One of her hands came up and rubbed her nose. "Mn.. Hey. Hey, hey. Uh. Now I really have to think of a way to thank you."

“Naw.” He shook his head. “My… my roomie is out tonight. And I’ve had sort of a bad -“ He hesitated and then opted to just say “week” Though that was something of an understatement. “So, yeah, company is awesome, and if it helps you too that’s perfect.” “I’d love to see some of your paintings some time too, I’ve never met someone who could do like, wall art and things.”

"Yeah? I tag stuff. I'm not into refined paintin'. I mean, I can, but it's hard and I just love my sprays.." She settled down to eat the rest of her food with happy noises. Vega was vocal about what she liked, going so far as to sway this way and that. "Uuh, I can see about getting some pics of my next works. They're all kind of illegal, so they get painted over a lot..." Vega studied Zac's face, smiling a little before nodding. "So. What're you doing tomorrow?"

“… Well, after I make sure they don’t need me at the bookstore. I thought I might go look for, for a missing friend.” He gave a small shrug and a smile. “so yeah, If you’re cool keeping me company tonight I’d super appreciate that. I’d love to see the um, tags though! I should get you a canvas or something though, then it’s legal and you’ll know it’s going to stay?”

Oh, damn. There went her plans. Missing friends were important. Vega made a thoughtful noise and ate the very last of her bowl of food before putting it down. "Yeah, yeah. I can keep you company. I mean... Other than that thing I have nothing to do." She wiggled her fingers a little as he mentioned canvas and then let both brows arch in surprise. He'd really want one of her things on a canvas? Vega opened her mouth and then closed it before taking a breath. "Sure. Yeah! I think I can whip something up if you wanted." She brought a hand up like she was going to continue talking, but just let her finger drop on her chin and stared at him. "Okay, so. Uh... Let's go sit on the couch and like watch a movie or something?" Vega figured the couch would be the best place for the next part of her plan. "Like, if you want. I mean it's your place."

“Sorry! I just… If… if I come back… I will absolutely try and find you? I’d love to hear if you got the job! Actually if im… out late you should knock anyhow. If my roomie is here you can just tell her know you know me and you can spend another night okay?” He offered hastily. “Oh! Um…yes! Movie!” He flushed. “Um I have - I mean, do you have anything you really want to see? I can always see if its available to download if I don’t already have it.” He finished the last bites of his own food and put the dishes into the sink to soak for a little. “H…have a seat, I’ll find the movie!” He searched for the movie she mentioned and found it for streaming. The net was good enough so he clicked it for rental and let it start downloading to play when it buffered enough before taking a seat beside her. “So…yeah. Hi!” He flushed.

She moved over to the couch after he started to find the movie she wanted to see and got comfortable. Vega tucked a leg under her and flopped down gracelessly in the middle of the couch. Her arms crossed over her stomach as she slumped at the perfect movie watching angle and then looked over when he flopped down too. "Yo!" She said, waving. "So. I have an idea. But I need you.." She tugged at his arm a bit, pulling Zac closer. While she pulled him in, Vega's face flushed and she took a quick breath before her head darted forward. She was aiming to leave a brief kiss on his cheek in a friendly 'thank you' gesture.

He turned just enough to make it awkward, her lips agains the corner of his mouth. “Oh!” He said flushing deeply. “I mean, you, you don’t have to… I mean, I’m not… I don’t want you to think you have to, that I would try and make you.” HIs eyes were wide but more with, it seemed, concern for her than for anything else. “ I mean, it’s not like I’m going to make you, uh…sick or anything but.”

When he turned, her face darkened even more and she laughed afterwards. Then his words struck, and Vega held up a hand. "No. Nope. You're good. I want to kiss your cheek to say thanks. I mean, I can kiss you, if you want, but." She winked and then leaned back. "I just.. You're doing a lot for me, you're cute, and I wanted to say thanks with a kiss. Nothing more, I swear! I don't.. you know, on first meetings." She huffed in, what she hoped was, a playful manner and finally took the towel of of her head. She had to do something. She was nervous now. Her pink hair fell around her for a brief second, before Vega clipped her hair up to keep it off her neck. "There. Anyway. So. You're good. You're not making me feel like I have to."
