Makani gave a thoughtful sound as she asked him about his 'favorite aspect of magic'. He lifted a hand, tapping his index finger against his lips for a moment before he said, "I feel it would be cheating to say that it lets me see... though the fact that magic can replace missing things is rather amazing. I would say that aside that the fact that my magic can help people might be my favorite aspect of it."

He clasped his hands together in his lap before he said, "I want to help as much as I can. I have the power to heal and I feel that it's something that I should do... though you need to be very careful of burn out." He felt that he should warn her about that for certain, "I found myself in a situation once where I found myself completely burnt out, unable to keep up with those that needed me. It's a terrible feeling... so I would warn you against that. If you are able to find a friend to aid you in difficult tasks, whether they have magic or not, I advise you do so."

Giving a smile he said, "It's always a smart thing to have back up. Especially if its the sort that will tell you in no uncertain terms when its time to rest." Something that is sister, Sinny, and other members of the troupe had done for him back when he was working as a combat medic during the war against Oba.

"It's not considered honorable?" He found himself repeating, wondering for a moment what that might mean. He couldn't really say but he found himself saying, "Well, honorable or not if you want to apply yourself to your dream completely then it's still definitely something worth doing." He wasn't sure what it was that she was thinking about doing but the way that she worded it, saying that she wanted to help her family. He would wish her luck with it no matter what it meant if it meant she'd be using her powers for the sake of her family.

Tilting his head at the sound of voices and footsteps Makani asked, "Someone you know?" He found himself asking, if only because she seemed to get rather quiet after they had gone running by.

Makani couldn't help but to chuckle at the mention that those running about were 'extended family' and that they had 'gotten into trouble'. That likely meant that as their family member she was going to have to go after them... a thought that was proved to be correct as as Myrida said that she had to go see if those members of her family had gotten in over their heads. Giving a chuckle he said, "If they are young yet you should go easy on them. One can only be young once after all."

Rising to his feet Makani snapped his fingers to get Rae's attention. The raptrix trotted over to him as Myrida gave him a hug, something that threw him off balance a little, he said, "I had a good time. Let's meet again sometime, Myrida." If she was leaving then it would seem as though it were time for Rae and himself to do the same. They couldn't play too much after all, not when there was still a ton of work to do with Riya.

"Do be careful on your way back... and if you ever need to find me look at my sister's inn. It's south of Dernd in Sauti, a little ways before where the borderline with Tale lays."
