Shun wasn't really paying any attention to the movie at this point. It was really ******** weird. He just waved at the air again.
"Jus bad s**t. Nutting much t'spill really. Jus' me, y'know? Ever... like... Ever wish there was the same, but new?" he asked, not quite realizing that what he had just said made no sense whatsoever. He was pretty damn drunk right now.

It seemed the movie Clone Your Lover had taken a backseat in their conversation. That wasn't unusual though. The movie just sort of talked about clones for ages and didn't really come to any kind of satisfying conclusion. A man learned to let go of his lost love. Boo hoo.

That stupid grin never quite left Shun's face.

He flopped back, throwing his arms onto the top of the couch, just sort of lounging now.

"I give a damn," she said quietly. She wasn't sure what to do with such an extreme opposite to Shun. Normally quie, reserved, now bombastic and rude. Both extremes were something Chel wasn't sure how to best handle.
She leaned over him, getting surprisingly up in his face, chest inches from his own. "What you sayin' is ... nothin' makes you happy." She pursed her lips for a moment. "Well ... maybe small happy like a good drink or a good lay." She wiggled the bottle in her hand. "But nothin' beyond that. S'why you got a rat- 'cause it's supposed t'help f'you care about things."
"But s'the opposite. S'why the rat doesn't help." He cared about all of it. Not in the mushy I love everything sense that Shun was being right now, but in the sense that comments and remarks really did have an impact at the end of the day. Stonework Shun, not so stone. It was hard to piece together. She was trying to weave herself a story out of Shun so she could understand. "So what ******** you off the deep end so bad this time, batman?" Chel shut her mouth, realizing what she was doing, but knowing it was too late.

Well Shun was still rude even without being drunk. He had closed his eyes for a few moments. And when they opened again, he found himself staring right up at Chel, who was now right up in his face.
"Anythin' I do err make y'think I'm happy? Nah. Y'smarter than that," he brushed off, glancing to the side towards the rat cage. The rat was minding her own business, drinking some water right now.
"Well mebby y'do give a damn. But I wish there was something else than you. N'one ever gave a damn growin' up. But I dun care. I kin deal with it! Always gotta look out f'm'self. I dun deal w'people good anyway. Shits too heavy."
He leaned his head back against the couch. A strange noise escaped him, something akin to broken laughter.
"M a failure. Always 'ave been. Too weak. T'worthless. 'N is fine! 'm still alive, ya? I dun care anymore. Just gonna try 'n enjoy what lil s**t I can. World can fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck on off, heh."

She thought about what he'd said- wish there was the same but new. It didn't make much sense but somehow ... it did. She felt that too. Wanting things to stay the same, but positively miserable with how they were.
And somehow ... he still managed to make it sting. Something other than her. That was most people. She just hadn't expected it so bluntly and suddenly. But she pushed that thought away for now. Shun was in a worse spot than her. "Yer like the toughest guy I know an' you got a bike an' a pet. Like- f'you a failure, what the ******** does that make me?" Crap. She hadn't meant that. "Yer not a failure, alright. I dunno what's gettin' you so bad like this but yer not Shun, you really ain't."

Shaking his head, he pushed Chel back so that he can stand up. He was definitely a little wobbly up on his feet, though.
"Seriously, 'nuff of the depressing crap," he stated, changing the channel. The movie was off now, and instead there was some sort of music video on up.
"Y'wanna dance?" he asked, clapping his hands together, as he started to... well. Dance.

She made a small noise as she was pushed off, but gave him the breadth to do so. If he was done opening up, he was done. Chel pushed but she also knew when not to harsh a mellow.
What Shun did next prompted a second use of her phone. This time recording a video. "Oh hon. Get it."
She had to at least capture the robot he was doing before standing up, rolling her eyes and dancing horribly with him. Chel was a decent dancer but she got the feeling that this situation wasn't one that required her best moves. "I always wanna dance. Just don't break yer glass butt."

Shun was indeed, doing the robot. It was a bit awkward, in his drunken stupor, but he was doing it anyway. He really did give no ******** right about now.
"Pfffttt, not gon break anythin' here. Not even a sweat," he dismissed as he continued to dance poorly to the beat. He was even humming along to the tune.

"Now I wanna know what happens with two beers," she said. While they ""danced"" Chel casually took pauses to move some of the furniture out of the way and when Shun got a little too close to Rosie she took him by the wrist and pulled him into a silly little tango to foxtrot his a** away from the innocent bystander.
He said he wouldn't break anything but Chel wasn't so sure.
"Yer so ********' lucky it was me that answered that door," she muttered. She's wanted a relaxing night to pass out in, and now she was on her feet again babysitting a grown a** man.
... At least it was fun.

Sure enough, when they got close to the cage, the rat ended up hiding away from the scary human dancers. She wanted none of that.
"Eh? Who would it 'ave been anyway? No one else comes here," he stated. Except for that one time where it had been Jeremiah instead. But that was an exception to the rule of 'it's always Chel who visits'. It was an outlier, not the norm.
"Wooooooooooooooo~" he all but shouted as he began to spin.

Another outlier was occuring; Shun was the one more energetic than her. As he began to spin she backed away to the couch and laid herself down on it. She winced as her feet hurt and she was a bit out of breath.
"Keep goin'," she told him, "Just don't wanna take yer spotlight since yer killin' it." Yeah that was totally it.
"No one else comes here? Really?"
