Faamy nodded slightly. "Some.. not all." While she hadn't experienced much of it herself, she knew there was much darkness in the world. Her father's death was enough darkness for her taste. She would rather invent it in her songs.
Her gaze went a little flat at the sharp grin flashed her way, and she responded with a shrug. "I'm content thinkin' my twist already came 'n went."
Her eyes rose again as the man's voice softened. The description of the girl was full of life, but the delivery sounded so tired, as though she was already dead. "Soun's like quite a gal," she mused, the melody taking a subtly romantic turn. After a moment, Faamy went back to the lullaby. While not one particularly knowledgeable in the ways of love, she wasn't one to keep her nose out of the business of others either. "Yeh say yeh almost lost 'er, but don't leavin' count as losin' fer sure?"

"Ah." Kian didn't say much more as he glanced away from the woman and back towards the skies, "I hope life agrees with that then." A rare show of mercy if one could call it that. If the woman had her own personal loss then Kian was impressed that she still managed to keep such hopeful airs. That was a skill he felt he lost long ago - if he ever had such a thing.
Kian raised a brow at the other's audacity, "I suppose so. I'd rather lose her love than her life." The hybrid shrugged as he pushed himself into an upright sitting position, "As I said he could either choose power or choose her. Choosing her probably would lead to a few moments of happiness before loss would come claim her." He flashed a twisted grin towards the bard, "Life is full of decisions like that. I find that if I try to be greedy it guarantees misfortune." Plus, even if he wanted to go back he would have to find that b*****d who had escaped first. When that one was dead Kian would have to hope that was the last of those wanting to hurt the girl he thought of.

Faamy looked down at the strings as they vibrated sweetly under her fingers. "Aye. Me, too.." With her mother already on a somewhat precarious balance and her darling little sister to think of, she wasn't sure how she would handle losing them.
"Some might say love an' life 'r the same thing." Power or love... One life or two... "That's a tough spot ye're in," she said slowly. "But.. life don't really work like tha'.. Loved ones get taken even if ye're not right there. ..Sometimes, tha' there is how they get taken." The tune picked up a tiny bit, trying to chase away the sadness that threatened her perpetual good mood. "Jus' a little sumthin' ta think abou'."

Kian laughed before finally pushing completely off of the ground. Dusting his clothing free of dirt, the hybrid glanced over towards the woman. "Always something to think about." He replied solemnly, "Still, it's late and you should best go inside before anything else comes your way. You may not be so fortunate next time."
His warning spoken the hybrid turned away before facing down a path away from them, "Keep your music though. It's not so bad." He smirked over his shoulder one last time before taking a few steps away, "Best of luck that your life is happier than mine." His hands moved down towards his sash and taking up his own instrument Kian began to play a similar melody based on the one that the woman had just been playing.
With that haunting tune in the air behind him, Kian began to disappear back down the path and into the darkness...

Faamy looked up with surprise at the laugh. It felt a little hollow, but it was still a laugh that made her smile. It was one the man clearly needed. "I'll heep tha' in mind," she assured, standing as well while her fingers continued. The dark thoughts would need another minute of music to chase off.
She gave an appreciative nod at the compliment, watching the stranger walk off. "And may yeh find yer happiness, stranger of the moonlight." Once the man's form was distant, she turned and headed back to the inn. He certainly had given her enough chills to make her desire the busy building, and she looked up at the starry night. She hoped the stars would guide her steps to where she could best help others with her songs.
