"It's just a hop an' a skip away~" Teased Nadiya as she opened the door to the crisp night air. The sun was already sinking low on the horizon and the night was truly beginning now. Smiling, the Matori took a swing of her drink before pointing a finger out ahead of them. Swaying her hand back and forth the girl pursed her lips thoughtfully. Now was that spooky place to the right or to the left?
"Left has ta be." She commented out loud before gesturing to her new companion, "This way~" Skipping along Nadiya may have splashed some of her drink on the ground as she led the way through a trail that took them through town and towards a line of trees. "They say that when ya get out 'ere far enough ya can hear the breathing of the ole man who died out 'ere alone. His shack is still out 'ere and it's haunted along with the graves of those who passed away. Ya see...he built his home on a burial area and tried to raise a family here without knowin'. They say he eventually lost his mind cause of all the spooks bothering them and killed his young wife in desperation."
She paused as she leaned forward towards the looming trees, "When he realized what he did he shortly joined her after by hangin' in a tree in front of their home." Nadiya shivered as she glanced over towards Faamy, "Wanna see if his spirit is still walkin' the woods full of regret? Or if the spirits of those buried long ago are still agitated to this very day by the livin' walking through?"

Faamy cocked her head, waiting for directions. Her body and mind fealt pleasantly warm and fuzzy, making the possible scares ahead seem less intimidating. She was so ready for an adventure!
The story sent a chill along Faamy's back that made her skin prickle. "Dayum. Makes my great-gran's story seem like a simple romance novel!" she whispered excitedly. Taking a deep gulp to strengthen herself, she took a deep breath as well. "I didnuh come out here ta watch them stars! Let's go fin' us a ghost 'r two!"

Nadiya laughed, "Well it's a romance in a way...just with a twist." She grinned wickedly before raising her mug -as if declaring a charge!- ahead of them, "Let's do this!" Her gaze gleamed with enthusiasm as they started through the woods. Tall and dark trees loomed over them, but the petite Matori just danced around the roots that seemingly reached out like clawed feet to trip them. A rustling wind echoed through the trees like wailing and she had to pause.
"Ya hear that? I think it's a warnin~" She grinned back towards Faamy, "Stay close. I hear that in his confusion he likes to take any pretty Sauti gals back with him in place of his lover~ Of course then the cycle repeats as the spirits mess with his own head and he loses it all over again..."
A twig snapped somewhere in the distance and Nadiya actually jumped a bit, "Oh!" She hissed in a whisper as she came closer to Faamy, "I'll uh stay close so he doesn't try gettin' ya."

Blue eyes looked around with excitement. The shadows were deep and the moans of the wind mysterious, making the hair on the back of her neck stand. This would make a good song!
Lips pursing, Faamy looked at Nadiya curiously. That.. wasn't true, was it? "Well, I dunno ta be flattahed 'r freaked..." Despite her joking tone, she crept a little closer to Nadiya for security. Of course, Nadiya's jump made Faamy's heart leap into her throat. "I 'preciate tha'..."
It wouldn't take much more to set off the tipsy, edgy girl. A stiff wind blew through, knocking down a dried up branch that slapped lightly against Faamy's back. Letting our a shriek of fear, Faamy dropped her mug and grabbed at Nadiya's arm to tug her back the way they had come. "Don' let 'im get me!!"

"Be both then." Teased Nadiya lightly, "I'm sure he'd love someone warm and as lovely as you...it's just those spirits love to mess with living things. They're just jealous that we still have the fire of life within us while they're just bein' forgotten." She shook her head sadly before a strange breeze made her inch closer to her companion.
"Eep!" Nadiya let out a shriek that turned to laughter as she dropped her mug as well and clung to Faamy, "A'ight then. I think that's our cue!" She teased though as the wind blew sharply and spun more leaves around them and crackled more branches she felt her heart racing out of her chest, "Let's go!" Grabbing onto the other girl's hand Nadiya bolted forward and wouldn't stop running until both of them were out of the creepy woods and by a warm fire where no ghosts could get them....

Nadiya's laughter was almost reassuring to Faamy. Almost. With another shriek, she raced after Nadiya, holding the other woman's hand firmly.
Back at the tavern, she ordered fresh mugs for the both of them and sat down by the fire. "Ghosts. Who needs 'em as lovers?" she pouted, sipping from her mug. "Can yeh imagine? They'd jus' be lurkin' 'round all the time. Sure ta get annoyin' quick, it would!"
