Callistos tilted his head to one side, giving the girl a curious look as she mentioned her family almost being the whole rainbow. What did that mean? Did she possibly have some mixed blood siblings or something? Given the fact that she looked like a Pure Leaf he couldn't quite wrap his head around it. After a time he finally had to ask, "A rainbow...? In what way do you mean?"

"Tip over a lot?" Li gave a bit of a laugh, "So I doubt that you'd make a very good dancer, huh?" Something that had him chuckling a bit to himself. Given that he himself was a dancer he knew all the coordination that one needed for such a job. As such he knew that if the girl had no sense of balance that she probably wouldn't last long as a dancer, especially with Li's mother as the instructor. The thought was one that he waved away, not wanting to think about the poor, klutzy girl being taught by his mother.

Callistos tilted his head to one side, for a moment trying to get everything straight in his head that Lilif had just told him before he gave a slow nod of his head. After a moment he finally said, "I see." Though he wasn't quite sure that he did. It all sounded pretty complicated to him but so long as they were all happy, right? It just went to show that with some families they could be all mixed up and happy... though at the same time there must be some that objected to them since she said they lived outside of town to avoid hostilities. That also made sense though, there would always be those who didn't approve of such mixed up families.

As the girl explained how bad her balance was and about a couple of the incidents that balance had caused Li had to lift a hand to cover his mouth, smothering a laugh. He didn't want to appear rude but from the sounds of it that must be something to see when her balance really got away from her. Once he got his amusement under control he lifted a hand, giving it a little wave, and said, "Sorry, sorry... I'm not laughing at you so much as the situations you're describing." He wanted to explain quickly so as not to insult the girl.

Li put on his best smile and nodded his head, "I think I follow, if only far enough to understand that you have a rather interesting family. In fact you make my family pretty normal. I kind of like it!" He said, giving a laugh as he shifted so that he was sitting cross legged on Branko's back, patting the big beast on the head. It was kind of funny, wasn't it? She was a strange girl for sure but at least she was amusing, right? As she mentioned that the family on her father's side, save for that half sister Lilif mentioned he was guessing, were all 'dead' which was a little sobering. At the same time the girl didn't seem to worried about it so maybe they weren't good people? Hard to say since he didn't really know much about Obans save for what he learned from the few that came through.

"Tripped over nothing, huh? Heh, cute. Well, while you aren't able to get a job at the inn as a dancer I'm sure we could find some job for you. If you are ever interested in a job that is." It mostly depended if she wanted a job here to make a bit of extra coin. They would have to find her a job where her klutzy nature wouldn't risk breaking anything.

Calliostos looked down at the big beast that he was sitting on before giving the snaptrotter a pat on the head, "Yeah, go ahead. Branko rather likes girls so I doubt that he would mind if you went and gave him a little pat on the head." In fact he was certain that it would probably make the snaptrotter's day if he got pets from Lilif. He'd been starring at her since he'd noticed her but given that he was well behaved he hadn't gone rushing after her. The only one he couldn't resist chasing around was Li's mother, but when it came to others at least he could be a good boy.

Giving a chuckle he said, "Alright, I will let you know if I see you again what sort of job I find for you around the inn." He was supposed to be the one that would take over, so surely he should start to find people to help him as far as taking care of the inn went.

As she commented on Branko being 'cute' the big snaptrotter set to wagging his tail, giving a rather happy huffing sound. It was something that had Callistos shaking his head before he said, "He seems to appreciate your kind words." In fact she had likely made the giant beasts day he thought to himself, a bit amused by the fact that he was now in such a good mood.

Li gave a jolt and a squeak of surprise as the girl was suddenly tackling him and hugging him. It wasn't that it was a bad thing, just a surprising thing. He starred down at her for a moment before she was suddenly was pulling away from him. It was something that had him laughing a bit, "Naw, it's fine, it's fine." He said, waving a hand, "Girls tend to throw themselves at me all the time." He said before he started laughing. Alright, maybe not always true, but it sounded funny to him.

Li looked down at the big snaptrotter before he gave a little shake of his head. The spoiled beast was going to be in a mood for the rest of the day now, wasn't he? The fact that he was so excited over just getting petted and complimented by the girl was enough to prove that to him. Giving a bit of a chuckle he then turned his attention back to the blushing girl, giving a toothy grin. Seemed as though his words had embarrassed her a bit... which was to Li, kind of amusing.

Giving a chuckle he said, "Alright, alright, I will let it slide then." He said in a joking manner, unable to keep from grinning. It seemed as though she was so embarrassed that she couldn't even look at him now, something that made it all that much more amusing to Li.

Li gave a sound of surprise as an old man suddenly appeared, catching hold of Lilif, and tried to make off with the girl. Thinking the worst he hopped down off of Branko's back and said, "Branko! Don't let that weird drunk take Lilif!" It might be someone from the inn that had gotten too deep into their cups and while he couldn't fight himself he knew that the big snaptrotter would only be too happy to deal with the drunk.

Rushing forward at the behest of Callistos, and to the aid of the pretty girl, Branko threw his vast girth between the two, doing his best to swat the drunk into the nearby river with his tail.
